The Take- A -Liki- Tiki Shower Shack is a great place to cool off and clean up after a day on the river or exploring tidepools at the coast. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends!
The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar.
We also have several apple trees, a pear tree, and tons of blackberries when in season to share with our guest. Our Veggie Garden will be available next season to enjoy also. We are constantly improving our property so please stay in the finished designated guest areas only until we open up the coming attractions.
There are plenty of sites and destinations within minutes from our home too! We have Tennis, Pickle Ball, and Basketball Courts around the corner. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike
Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere!
During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Zac Brown, Steve Miller, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor are just a few Headliners that have been here in the past.
We have a great Lightwave coffee shop across the creek that is a quick 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants along the river as well as a small grocery store, movie theater, and a Homemade Ice Cream Parlor that are all close enough to walk to or drive. Guerneville is a quick 4 mile drive and has a Safeway and many restaurants and quaint shops too.

The property is located east of Occidental in a unique "banana belt" along the USDA 9a/9b climate zones, inside the "Green Valley" Sonoma wine appellation, on a quintessential country lane.
Originally settled and farmed in the early 1900's by a family of Italian immigrants, from who the lane is named.
One acre is our family compound, two acres are forest preserve, and the other two acres are the orchard - where the parking sites have been integrated.
The orchard has many different fruit trees including heritage Gravenstein apples that were originally planted by the family from Italy. The Gravensteins are ripe between mid July to mid August. The orchard borders a forest with old growth Redwoods, Douglas Fir, Bay Laurel, Oaks, and Madrone. Some wildlife passes through the orchard, especially birds. The site offers great star gazing, sun rises, moon rises and access to a charming walk on a beautiful country lane for sunsets. We highly recommend visiting for the Spring bloom in April and May for a temperate tropical experience.
A Two minute drive to Occidental, and a twenty minute drive to the beaches of the Sonoma Coast and the Russian River. A great location to explore and enjoy nearby small towns, wineries, dairies, hiking, bicyling, surfing, kayaking, and farmers markets... or just relax at the site, make a picnic, and bask in the tranquility...

This rugged stretch of California coast has sweet views and plenty to do. There are rocky promontories, coastal forests, and kelp-dotted beaches to explore.
The dramatic cliffs here are sandstone that has been eroded and shaped by the sea. You might see cave-like features called tafoni. Tafoni is formed when the ocean deposits salt on the sandstone. The salt interacts with the sandstone, hardening parts of it and forming the signature honeycomb features. It also gives this park its name.
All these features make Salt Point a great place for climbing. Where else can you lead an overhanging roof while looking out over the Pacific? Make sure you check the tide tables, some routes are underwater at low tide!There is also plenty of hiking in the area. Trails wind through Douglas Fir and Coastal Redwood forests before spitting you out on rocky beaches. If it’s been raining, hike the Bluff Trail to find a hidden waterfall that spills directly into the ocean.

You can hike through our property to the Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest or just enjoy the clean air and listen to the wind and the birds. On clear nights the stars put on an amazing show. Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates.
We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all.
We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead and inside at night for their own protection and the comfort of others.
We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The property is located east of Occidental in a unique "banana belt" along the USDA 9a/9b climate zones, inside the "Green Valley" Sonoma wine appellation, on a quintessential country lane.
Originally settled and farmed in the early 1900's by a family of Italian immigrants, from who the lane is named.
One acre is our family compound, two acres are forest preserve, and the other two acres are the orchard - where the parking sites have been integrated.
The orchard has many different fruit trees including heritage Gravenstein apples that were originally planted by the family from Italy. The Gravensteins are ripe between mid July to mid August. The orchard borders a forest with old growth Redwoods, Douglas Fir, Bay Laurel, Oaks, and Madrone. Some wildlife passes through the orchard, especially birds. The site offers great star gazing, sun rises, moon rises and access to a charming walk on a beautiful country lane for sunsets. We highly recommend visiting for the Spring bloom in April and May for a temperate tropical experience.
A Two minute drive to Occidental, and a twenty minute drive to the beaches of the Sonoma Coast and the Russian River. A great location to explore and enjoy nearby small towns, wineries, dairies, hiking, bicyling, surfing, kayaking, and farmers markets... or just relax at the site, make a picnic, and bask in the tranquility...

This rugged stretch of California coast has sweet views and plenty to do. There are rocky promontories, coastal forests, and kelp-dotted beaches to explore.
The dramatic cliffs here are sandstone that has been eroded and shaped by the sea. You might see cave-like features called tafoni. Tafoni is formed when the ocean deposits salt on the sandstone. The salt interacts with the sandstone, hardening parts of it and forming the signature honeycomb features. It also gives this park its name.
All these features make Salt Point a great place for climbing. Where else can you lead an overhanging roof while looking out over the Pacific? Make sure you check the tide tables, some routes are underwater at low tide!There is also plenty of hiking in the area. Trails wind through Douglas Fir and Coastal Redwood forests before spitting you out on rocky beaches. If it’s been raining, hike the Bluff Trail to find a hidden waterfall that spills directly into the ocean.
Camping can be had at the nearby Gerstle Cove and Woodside Campgrounds. Spots here fill up fast and need to be reserved ahead of time. If they are booked up, we’ve got you covered. Hit up Hipcamp for other accommodations.

You can hike through our property to the Boggs Mountain Demonstration Forest or just enjoy the clean air and listen to the wind and the birds. On clear nights the stars put on an amazing show. Clear Lake is about 45 minutes away with all the fishing and water sports you could ask for. Harbin Hot Springs are 15 minutes away and they offer day passes for reasonable rates.
We are located about 20 minutes outside of Middletown. Be aware that half of the road is dirt (and that's better than the asphalt half) all of it is fine for small cars, just take your time. The last 1/2 mile or so is a one lane road, so please be careful of opposing traffic and uneven surfaces. We cannot accommodate vehicles longer than 28’ on these roads. Please do not take County Road 110 from Boggs/Cobb - it is not maintained at all.
We offer California camping at its finest. Fresh air, whispering trees, amazing star fields . . . this can mean the less attractive side of nature as well. We have ticks, rattlesnakes, stinging things, poison oak, uneven trails and surfaces, and a bear on one ridge with mountain cats on the other (no sign of either in the campground). We keep the restroom stocked with Tecnu for the poison oak, but please watch yourselves and especially children. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept on lead and inside at night for their own protection and the comfort of others.
We are fairly hands off in our hosting approach. Unless there's a question or problem, you likely won't see us. But we have people close by and are only a message away.

Eitan makes lovely goat and cow cheese.. Since we are at the edge of a wild forested zone, predators do come down the hill at night. Unfortunaely our lovely 12 year old Anatolian shepher passed away this summer or you would have heard her on guard duty.. Bodega Bay and its restaurants and beaches are 5 miles away.
Bodega is a quaint historic town and our goat farm is at the top of a hill with exquisite views of the coastal hills on 3 sides. Nearby is the church and schoolhouse made famous by Alfred Hitchcock. Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. Great camp for first time campers / beginners. My friends and I came and Joe told us the ground rules and then left us to ourselves the rest of the trip. There are a few residents on the campgrounds as well in cabins / small homes and they were friendly and conversational as well. Pool opens in May, when we went there it wasn’t operational. You’re pretty close to civilization as well in case you forgot essentials or need a quick bite. All in all well worth it big 5 star for me! :)

Farm shop was awesome as always.
Suggest buying your firewood from them ahead of time. Note that it's mostly softwood, so it might be wise to order extra.
Site #2 was cool and I think I would have preferred #1 or #3 for the next trip.

Great spot! Loved it, though other camps are just as nice for lower price. Creekside #1 & 2 are separated by a lovely redwood grove. Both are close to the road, but nobody drove between dusk and 7:30am. The creek itself is lovely, we spent much of the day in the cool shade skipping rocks.

We absolutely loved our stay at Salmon Creek Ranch. The property is stunningly beautiful, and it felt like there was a new hidden gem to discover around every corner. The Redwood #1 campsite feels nice and private, and the grove of redwood trees block the chilly night breeze, and I imagine would keep you nice and cool in the warmer summer months. We highly recommend and would love to return some day.

I brought an environmental school group up to the property and we really enjoyed the space. There are two fire rings - one up top and one at the bottom of the site near the river. The outdoor kitchen was really helpful with meal prep. It’s a fantastic option for a small group.

It’s stocked with all sorts of great things like duck eggs, and frozen meats. Really can’t wait to go back. We stayed at Creekside number one, which was fantastic, but I’m excited to try the redwood campsites next

The Eagles Nest and Salmon Creek Ranch are absolutely magical!! If you get the opportunity to visit and stay please do so!! We stayed for two nights our time was a fairy tale! From our walks in the forest to the river, having lunch in the pasture hanging with the highland cows, eating the delicious meat at there little store and staying in the trees! It was all absolute perfection! John and Lesley are fabulous hosts and the entire experience was incredible! We will be back many more times!!!

We had a great time camping here! We were a little lucky because we were the only ones tent camping that weekend. The hosts were very nice and kind—they even gave us access to our own private bathroom with a shower.

We learned a lot and she gave excellent recommendations for local experiences including Harbin Hotsprings and Beaver Creek Tasting Room - both must visits!! We had a romantic and relaxing getaway thanks to Brenda and her land. We would definitely recommend the farm breakfast for a nice start to your morning with fresh tea, garden veggies, and socializing. If you’re someone who likes to learn definitely take her herb walk! We stayed a night but wish we could have stayed longer. The treehouse is as nice as it photographs. We spent most of our time on the farm — hiked a little loop, saw SO MANY NEWTS. Very cute newts. When we arrived, John and a gathering of goats greeted us. They kindly showed us around. Don’t forget to swing by the farm store. We picked up duck eggs and a goose foot dog treat for our friend’s pup.
