delightful communicative helpful host and such a serene place to stay in a quiet area with towering trees and so many types of birds with the perfect hammock setup on a deck that's bigger than my apt at home. tysm sue! <3

Sue was a very accommodating host- we booked last minute & she made us feel welcome. The deck was a dream with a gorgeous view of the trees & creek & TWO hammocks! We slept peacefully in the comfy bed to the lull of cute frog sounds. Great proximity to coffee, food, swimming spots & beaches. A nice crash pad when you want to dip in the river & try one of the many good restaurants. We weren’t sure about the outhouse on the listing but it was immaculate. This little cabin might not have all the facilities & appliances, but for a short trip who cares? For a spontaneous overnight we didn’t need to cook or shower- just wanted to get out of the city, take in some nature, read in a hammock- mission accomplished! Only issue was chainsaw noise coming from the next property, which sort of broke the otherwise chill vibe. Sue assured us it was out of the ordinary & did her best to make it up to us by kindly offering a discount on our next stay. Looking forward to a do-over, which I’m sure will result in 100% relaxation. Adding Sue’s spot to our list of Russian River haunts!

The little home was beautiful and perfect for our little getaway. The deck was so lovely - hammocks, fire pit, overlooking a creek. We even had enough room to pitch a tent since we wanted to sleep under the stars for one of the nights.

Just lovely. There’s so much to enjoy in the area, but my wife and I ended up spending much of our time just sitting on the porch of Sue’s cabin, reading and listening to the wind in the trees. As peaceful a getaway as you could ask for.

I booked this spot for the star gazing in the hammock on the redwood surrounded deck and it did not disappoint! A cozy but well supplied guesthouse among the redwoods. Kitchen area was well stocked and had everything i needed and lots of counter space. Large sink in bathroom area was great for dishes and large enough to wash my hair and do a little sponge bath since there was no tub/shower and the large portapotty outside worked out fine.
I even grilled some burgers on the large grill on the deck and enjoyed most of my meals outside at the table and chairs for two.
Bed was very comfortable and the sheets were very soft.
Perfect location for me to enjoy the hiking in the area and kayaking on the russian river. A great getaway spot to escape from the city.
Will definitely book again.

Sue's cabin was quaint and cute, and we were very cozy for our stay up in the trees. Sue checked in and was very attentive, and I would definitely recommend this spot as a rustic getaway convenient to both Guerneville and the Coast.

The small home was a perfect spot. It was easy to get to and my little car did just fine. It was very well lit. Also the deck was beautiful with the trees. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Really sweet spot. The deck is spectacular. We really enjoyed morning coffee and stargazing. Close to all the russian river spots, and across from a crystal clear creek. Comfy bed, and a quiet area. Sue was proactive, responsive and available. Very easy communication. Highly recommend.

We loved hanging out on the deck in the two hammocks and enjoying the redwoods. The street that the cabin is on is mostly quiet. The cabin was rustic with just enough basic amenities. The bed was comfortable. The host offered great suggestions for places to eat at and to visit.

There is nothing like the cool beaches and redwoods to escape the summer inland heat. This “glamping” studio was just what we needed. Inspiring and relaxing deck view (we unhooked one side of the hammocks to open up the deck and vista), a pretty creek, and oh so invitingly quiet and peaceful. Very close to the beaches and the charm of Monte Rio. It is a bit rustic in terms of some amenities (portapotty, no shower, camp-style kitchen), but this also adds to the outdoorsy feel. We will visit again!

Cozy cabin with an amazing deck in the trees...great for enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. The creek below has crystal clear water. Perfect spot to relax yet close enough to venture out. We went to the coast for a hike and the Russian river for kayaks. Sue was helpful with recommendations (activities and restaurants). It was very easy to communicate with her. She respected our privacy but was always available if needed.

This place is heaven on Earth and Sue’s cabin is a gem. We loved to hangout on the deck surrounded by magnificent redwoods and swim in crystal clear creek across the street. It was perfect time to escape the heat and enjoy the tranquil of the woods and nature. I would come back again definitely. Thank you, Sue!

Sue’s little cabin is tucked away in a beautiful grove of redwoods off the road. We spent most of our time down at the creek right across from the house, and enjoying the hammock out on the beautiful deck. At night we turned on the charcoal firepit and looked up at the stars. Can’t recommend enough!

Last minute run to the woods and I needed a place to stay! And Sue’s treehouse was available with bountiful abundance! Really appreciated of my time there and Sue’s suggestions.

Nice porch with hammock from which to see amazing stars 🌟 at night. Adequate bed, bathroom and fridge. Pretty redwoods.
Sue is housed a few feet away up the hill. She was helpful to us on finding a good hike and seemed to like being involved with our stay.
We frequent the Russian River area. We booked with this place at the last minute, realizing the higher value spots in the area were already booked for a busy summer weekend.

Super cozy cabin in the trees where I relaxed by watching the fog drift through the trees and the birds perform aerial ballet over the creek. Perfect for a weekend retreat away from my household! Peaceful & good energy to catch up on letter writing and some drawing. All the amenities I needed and a gracious host who was easy to communicate with. A short drive to anything else I needed or if I had been more motivated to get to the coast. Definitely recommend for anyone needing a little quiet time in the woods.

Very relaxing two days spent in between the redwoods. The place is as advertised on the listing with no surprises. We throughly enjoyed gas FirePit and hammock. Will definitely come back

We spent a weekend at Sue’s cabin and can’t wait to go back. We enjoyed the patio the most, surrounded by redwoods. We hung out in the hammock in the afternoons and ate breakfast and dinner outside by the propane fire pit. The cabin had everything we needed and Sue was very attentive and accommodating.

Cute, clean, relaxing little place. Deck is overlooking Austin Creek and surrounded by redwoods. Quick walk across the street for a dip in the crystal clear creek (great morning cold plunge). Doesnt have a real kitchen (sink or stove) but has enough enough for basic meal prep. Easy access to great redwood hikes and Jenner/Bodega on the coast. We’ll be back!

Sue's Hipcamp stay is an actual dream to stay in. You are literally in the thick of the redwoods facing a super peaceful creek that runs by the street. The house is very well-equipped with heat, blankets, a kitchenette, bathroom towels, kitchen equipment and more. The pictures are exactly the same as real life (probably even better in real life!). Sue is also very considerate and responsive - would love to stay here again! Thanks, Sue!

What a lovely cottage, in a perfect setting! It has everything you could want, including a wonderful separate heating unit in the bathroom for those cold winter nights. I loved my stay and highly recommend this hipcamp for a north bay getaway!

The place was easy enough to find without service, the home was lovely and had all the basics we needed for a cozy night in the woods! The fire pit on the porch was a really great thing to have since it was chilly out!
Great location that allowed us to head to the cost within 15 minutes and shop in the little downtown area nearby!
