Birds, ducks, geese, white egret, Blue herons, owls, squirrels, raccoons, fox, river otters, Osprey, Ravens, just some of the wildlife that will surround you. Whether you want to sleep in a comfy bed or throw your own bed roll / air mattress out on the deck and sleep under the stars, the Redwoods await you. Rest, relax and unplug. Perfect for a couples getaway or personal retreat. Just under 1/4 acre, located in the Redwoods of Austin Creek Recreational area, overlooking the fabulous Austin Creek. 1 room in a cabin with private entrance, private sleeping, eating and sitting area. Paved driveway and wrap around deck. 10 minutes from Guerneville, or 3 mins. to Duncans Mills, 7 minutes from the Russian River. 10 min. drive to Jenner and the Pacific Ocean with its glorious beaches. Or 30 min. drive to Bodega Bay and the freshest Seafood restaurants in all of Sonoma County. As expected when camping only Biodegradable products are welcomed on our property. Included with your stay, Microwave Refrigerator Camp stove gas grill Cups, Dishes and utensils. Organic Teas, and coffee. Biodegradable dish soap, hand soap, ( only biodegradable products permitable on our property) Quality Linens and bedding. Outdoor table and chairs. Available for use upon request: Two hammocks and propane fire pit. House rules and policies : Please remove shoes while indoors when possible and practical. Easy access to Austin Creek for walking, hiking, wadding, sometimes swimming. (No swimming or water access during winter season) Free internet access by Wi-Fi. I am always available to answer questions or give directions by text or phone. I enjoy sharing local Hidden Treasures but appreciate and respect guests privacy. Our property is on a septic system that leaches into the forest, only biodegradable products are welcomed. Biodegradable dish soap, and hand soap are provided. The perfect private getaway

Sue's cabin was so cute and peaceful, we loved having breakfasts on the deck overlooking the creek and staying cozy inside after dinner. It was the perfect location for my gf and I to get away from the festivities in town. Highly recommend! Be sure to factor in the additional driving time due to the road work.

The deck overlooking the creek is so lovely and peaceful! The cabin is small and cozy, the bed is comfortable, and the camp stove was very easy to use. It was the perfect spot for a solo retreat.

This was honestly one of my favorite trips I’ve ever had on this platform. The treehouse was absolutely wonderful — cozy, clean, peaceful, and everything felt just right. Sue greeted us when we arrived and was incredibly kind and friendly. She was also very responsive whenever we had questions. The place itself was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was very comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, with multiple blankets available, including electric heated blankets that worked really well and made the stay extra cozy. The fire pit was also amazing — sitting by the fire at night was such a beautiful and peaceful experience. There was also a hammock at the treehouse, which was super easy to set up and perfect for lying down and relaxing for a while. In the morning, we woke up to different bird sounds and even saw some birds and wildlife around the area, which made the whole experience feel magical. We also heard there was a cat nearby, though sadly we didn’t get to meet the cat this time! The only small downside was that the shower was not available during our stay, but other than that, everything was truly perfect. Overall, this was a very special and memorable stay. Sue was a wonderful host, the place was beautiful, clean, and relaxing, and we had an amazing time. Strongly recommended!

What a great spot to get in out of the cold and rain. I loved the rain sounds at night here. The grill, the kitchen and the bed were exactly what I wanted, but ended up spending hours in the comfy chair listening to the rain. I loved this quiet spot. Also, Sue's recommendations were perfect. Food, views and directions. Use Sue as a resource she was lovely.

We had such a wonderful time! Sue was very welcoming and super responsive. It was so nice to enjoy the sounds of nature and look at the stars sitting next to the fire pit. Comfy bed, lots of blankets, super cozy. Great creek access. We can’t wait to come back!

Sue had a lovely treehouse for us to relax this last weekend. We rested in the hammocks, and took a refreshing dip in the creek. Easy check-in and the host was very responsive to help us get settled.

This is a lovely and very peaceful little spot in the trees. It was a perfect quiet place to sleep during a weekend getaway to Guerneville. Close to town but super quiet. The bed was so cozy—I had the best night of sleep I’ve gotten in recent memory. Thank you, Sue!

Magical Deck & Hammock

Sue was a very accommodating host- we booked last minute & she made us feel welcome. The deck was a dream with a gorgeous view of the trees & creek & TWO hammocks! We slept peacefully in the comfy bed to the lull of cute frog sounds. Great proximity to coffee, food, swimming spots & beaches. A nice crash pad when you want to dip in the river & try one of the many good restaurants. We weren’t sure about the outhouse on the listing but it was immaculate. This little cabin might not have all the facilities & appliances, but for a short trip who cares? For a spontaneous overnight we didn’t need to cook or shower- just wanted to get out of the city, take in some nature, read in a hammock- mission accomplished! Only issue was chainsaw noise coming from the next property, which sort of broke the otherwise chill vibe. Sue assured us it was out of the ordinary & did her best to make it up to us by kindly offering a discount on our next stay. Looking forward to a do-over, which I’m sure will result in 100% relaxation. Adding Sue’s spot to our list of Russian River haunts!

The little home was beautiful and perfect for our little getaway. The deck was so lovely - hammocks, fire pit, overlooking a creek. We even had enough room to pitch a tent since we wanted to sleep under the stars for one of the nights.

Just lovely. There’s so much to enjoy in the area, but my wife and I ended up spending much of our time just sitting on the porch of Sue’s cabin, reading and listening to the wind in the trees. As peaceful a getaway as you could ask for.

Hammock star gazing among the trees

I booked this spot for the star gazing in the hammock on the redwood surrounded deck and it did not disappoint! A cozy but well supplied guesthouse among the redwoods. Kitchen area was well stocked and had everything i needed and lots of counter space. Large sink in bathroom area was great for dishes and large enough to wash my hair and do a little sponge bath since there was no tub/shower and the large portapotty outside worked out fine. I even grilled some burgers on the large grill on the deck and enjoyed most of my meals outside at the table and chairs for two. Bed was very comfortable and the sheets were very soft. Perfect location for me to enjoy the hiking in the area and kayaking on the russian river. A great getaway spot to escape from the city. Will definitely book again.

Sue's cabin was quaint and cute, and we were very cozy for our stay up in the trees. Sue checked in and was very attentive, and I would definitely recommend this spot as a rustic getaway convenient to both Guerneville and the Coast.

Forest, river and stars.

Really sweet spot. The deck is spectacular. We really enjoyed morning coffee and stargazing. Close to all the russian river spots, and across from a crystal clear creek. Comfy bed, and a quiet area. Sue was proactive, responsive and available. Very easy communication. Highly recommend.

Lovely rustic cabin in the redwoods

We loved hanging out on the deck in the two hammocks and enjoying the redwoods. The street that the cabin is on is mostly quiet. The cabin was rustic with just enough basic amenities. The bed was comfortable. The host offered great suggestions for places to eat at and to visit.

Lovely Redwood Haven

There is nothing like the cool beaches and redwoods to escape the summer inland heat. This “glamping” studio was just what we needed. Inspiring and relaxing deck view (we unhooked one side of the hammocks to open up the deck and vista), a pretty creek, and oh so invitingly quiet and peaceful. Very close to the beaches and the charm of Monte Rio. It is a bit rustic in terms of some amenities (portapotty, no shower, camp-style kitchen), but this also adds to the outdoorsy feel. We will visit again!

Cozy cabin with an amazing deck in the trees...great for enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. The creek below has crystal clear water. Perfect spot to relax yet close enough to venture out. We went to the coast for a hike and the Russian river for kayaks. Sue was helpful with recommendations (activities and restaurants). It was very easy to communicate with her. She respected our privacy but was always available if needed.

This place is heaven on Earth and Sue’s cabin is a gem. We loved to hangout on the deck surrounded by magnificent redwoods and swim in crystal clear creek across the street. It was perfect time to escape the heat and enjoy the tranquil of the woods and nature. I would come back again definitely. Thank you, Sue!

Sue’s little cabin is tucked away in a beautiful grove of redwoods off the road. We spent most of our time down at the creek right across from the house, and enjoying the hammock out on the beautiful deck. At night we turned on the charcoal firepit and looked up at the stars. Can’t recommend enough!

Star gazing from the hammock

Nice porch with hammock from which to see amazing stars 🌟 at night. Adequate bed, bathroom and fridge. Pretty redwoods. Sue is housed a few feet away up the hill. She was helpful to us on finding a good hike and seemed to like being involved with our stay. We frequent the Russian River area. We booked with this place at the last minute, realizing the higher value spots in the area were already booked for a busy summer weekend.
