We loved our stay at Camp Hoppy! It's a beautiful piece of land with little touches that make the stay incredibly comfortable. The first night we slept on cots on the screened-in porch, and the second night we pitched a tent on the lower side by the creek. Both experiences were so comfortable. It was a dream falling asleep to and waking up to the sound of the creek.
I loved that there are two different fire pits, so you get a bit of variety, and the fire pit area down by the creek is really stunning.
The working flush toilet with a bidet and a hot shower, which made a multi-night stay so much more comfortable. The kitchen is a lovely perk too, it's great to have a counter and sink to work with.
You also get a lot of privacy since you're the only group staying there, and the region and the space are just really, really beautiful. We were a group of five, and it was the universally agreed opinion that this was one of our favorite Hipcamp stays. I use Hipcamp a lot, and this one is right at the top. Highly recommend!

I brought an environmental school group up to the property and we really enjoyed the space. There are two fire rings - one up top and one at the bottom of the site near the river. The outdoor kitchen was really helpful with meal prep. It’s a fantastic option for a small group.

Overall we had a great experience but there were a few things we wished had been communicated a bit better! The neighbor’s side of the property is awfully close to the main area at camp hoppy, so if they are there, their presence is sort of hard to ignore and the space feels far less private than described. Also, we were told that there would be a tarped area and a yurt that we could sleep in/under, but there were no tarps or coverings anywhere other than the kitchen area, which is definitely not rain proof, so 100% plan to bring a tent regardless of that the welcome message says….
The warm shower was great after a long day in the rain and the creek area was lovely! Sort of disappointing to have so many structures on the property that we couldn’t enter or use, but it was a very fun weekend trip and the scenery can’t be beat. And, the hosts were very responsive when we had issues turning on the sink water and finding things, which was great.

Camp hoppy was is an amazing, beautiful spot tucked away in the redwood forest. We had an amazing time enjoying the fire under the trees, listening to the creek, watching the moon rise, and spotting some really interesting wildlife. It’s the perfect balance of being immersed in nature while still having the comforts you need: an open-air space for cooking, hot water, and a nice, clean bathroom.
Having the entire property and creek to ourselves made it feel like a peaceful little retreat. It truly has everything you need for a perfect nature getaway. I’d love to come back in the future. This is a lovely Hipcamp spot!

Another AMAZING trip at Camp Hoppy with our group, this time with 2 doggos in tow! The site is huge and allowed us to split up amongst the camp area, as well as in the lower site near the river.

Great spot! Loved getting into the river and hanging around the property. Some good platforms for sleeping on. One note; the yurt by the river has seen better days and we opted not to sleep in it. Otherwise, a beautiful and tranquil spot in a perfect location.

We loved camp hoppy! It was a beautiful space, clean, open with plenty of land for the dogs to run around in. The creek was a short hike down and we had a great time in the water. It was a hot weekend for May but the redwoods at the campsite provided adequate shade and it was a lot cooler than expected.

A few notes for people considering this place:
- the site sits at a very steep terrain
- the bathroom is at the top site
- going to the bottom site and creek is a short hike
- the creek is beautiful with clear water
- the land is pretty, you ll be surrounded by trees and tall redwoods
- the land is filled with poison oak, especially close to the creek if you plan on exploring it
- we had a bit of a challenging experience as the water pump was not working, so we couldn't use the bathroom/ shower (I am sure the owner, who was very responsive throughout the process will fix it).
- although there's a 14 people limit would recommend it to a group of 8-10 max
- if you have pick up trucks / large SUV you will have a hard time getting into the property but it's doable

It’s truely a very special land full of good energy from nature and from owner’s organization. We came with two another families with kids ranged from 3-13, they all had lovely time sitting by fire, dipping feet in creek, hiking in wood, running around in the nature. On the site, there is clean bathroom, water and shower, which made the camping with kids a lot easier. Before we arrive, Sonia gave very clear instruction and details and very responsive when we need extra help. As we are leaving, one of the car couldn’t start, Sonia was very flexible to let us to take our time to get help. We feel very thankful for everything Sonia had created on this site and let it open to share with us. We definitely will come back. It’s so beautiful. We could stay for a week there.

Sonia’s land was the perfect camping experience with just the right amount of amenities. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the creek was amazing, and having hot water and WiFi felt like such a luxury while still being immersed in nature. Our group of six had plenty of space, and everything was well thought out for a comfortable stay. We’ll definitely be back again when the weather warms up!

Camp hoppy was absolutely wonderful, My partner and I visited on Valentine’s Day weekend and were blown away with the views on the property. The trails that lead down to the water are extremely beautiful and very easy/fun to hike. I would recommend camp hoppy to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with family or others and can’t wait to return!

This spot is truly magical! I celebrated my 30th birthday here with my family, and could not have asked for a better spot to camp. The creek is gorgeous and we enjoyed the moonrise view from the fire pit.

Fairly close to the Bay Area - but felt like we were in a remote/secluded campsite with all the amenities we could think of. Host was super responsive with easy check-in instructions.

I loved camping on this beautiful forested land, what a gorgeous area! The amenities made it easier than most camping trips and it was exactly what I was looking for to celebrate my birthday with my close friends. The fire pit, bbq, bathroom, and string lights made it very easy too set everything up and have a lovely comfortable stay. I would love to return to camp here again!

This was our second time staying at Camp Hoppy. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The canvas tent is big and can easily sleep 3 or 4 people. There is ample space to set up tents all around the property. It’s great to have the camping experience but with running water and a bathroom. There is another small tent down the hill, near the creek. It is much more private down there. The clearing at the top, where the canvas tent and bathroom are, is fairly close to the road. There was surprisingly a lot of traffic on the road, even late at night. The creek is such a great spot to relax and explore during the day. We brought our two dogs and they both loved exploring the area and frolicking in the creek. Be sure to put your food and trash in your car as we had raccoons come through camp at night and try to get into our ice chests. Camp Hoppy is a great spot that feels fairly private and makes for an excellent getaway. Tip: make time to visit Fort Ross which is nearby. It was a super fun and interesting day trip.

We just returned from an unforgettable camping trip at Magical camp Hoppy incredible campsite, and we can't wait to go back! Sonia is an exceptional host who ensured our stay was nothing short of perfect.
The campsite itself is a nature lover's dream come true. Set amidst towering trees, the expansive grounds are teeming with wildlife, including deer, fox, and an array of bird species. The tranquil atmosphere is enhanced by the soothing sounds of the nearby creek and the gentle rustling of leaves.

We had a great stay at Camp Hoppy - the site was beautiful. It was really convenient to have the option of taking a warm shower and using a little bit of electricity, even though the rest of the site felt very remote and rustic. Highlights of our stay were swimming and exploring the river, and enjoying the wildlife. A fox visited stopped by the campsite and barked at us on the first night! Our dog loved lounging in the camp chairs and the decks.
