Truly one of the best rentals we’ve ever experienced.
My husband and I are driving from New Jersey through to Kodiak, AK and we decided to make our first experience of Alaska an adventurous one. Missy and Rowdy were truly the best host anyone could ask for. We stayed in an absolutely stunning cabin located on a river that created the sense of wilderness and adventure we were looking for. The well-known Chena hot springs are located just around the corner, making it easily accessible for a nice relaxing day. For those who are looking to hike, the hosts created this book explaining all of the local trails with pictures and maps telling you how to get there and how long each hike takes.
Whenever we needed anything, whether it was small or big, the hosts didn’t hesitate to help and accommodated anything we need during our stay.
We plan on coming back to this location in the near future and I highly urge and recommend this cabin to anyone else who is looking for an adventure like we were.
20/10
We had an absolutely beautiful and memorable experience with Missy and Rowdy. They really thought of everything. They have a whole binder of nearby trails and info on the hot springs which is really helpful since there’s no signal out there. Their property is life goals lol the smaller cabin is the perfect size for two. Very comfortable bed, the wood fire stove kept us extra cozy, the kitchen has a fridge and a propane two burner stove and is complete with all manner of cooking equipment. They even have board games and cards/dice to play while dinner is cooking. Missy really set a beautiful ambiance with lots of twinkly lights that lead to the warm out house. The fire pit was so lovely over looking the river and right next to the sauna that got up to 140 degrees lol. They were such lovely hosts and we will be going back in the summer!
