Once run by the state but is now managed by VAA.
The beautiful Blueberry Lake campground on Thompson Pass has spectacular 360-degree mountain views. 20 sites are available on a paved loop road near the lake. Vault toilets and a water pump are available for use. Several sites work well as group camping sites. There are no RV hookups or pull-throughs.
The McAllister cabin, at the mouth of Shoup Bay Marine State Park, is best accessed by kayak or boat. There is a narrow, tide dependent channel that leads to the inner lagoon where Moraine and Kittiwake cabins are located. Kayaks recommended for access.

Alaska or Scotland?
The camp host went out of their way to change our site to one with a covered pavilion when they found out rain was in the forecast. The campsite was clean and beautiful. A great experience all around.

Clean campground with great view. Be sure to check length of site before booking. Ours seemed short for our 20 ft travel trailer. When it should have been long enough according to booking information

Beautiful campground
What a beautiful site #7. We enjoyed watching the otters play. The lake was serene and lovely. It rained the whole time we were there. The reservation office was so sweet and accommodating. We were late coming back on our check out day and they worked with us. The only negative is someone stole our camp chair when we were gone. Lame. It cost 10 bucks and we would have gave it to whoever took it if asked.

Blueberry Lake was the perfect two night stay for us. The site itself was easy to find, easily accessible, and had quick access to the facilities. Beautiful stay, and will recommend to others!
