Awesome little campground! Hidden gem. Quiet, basic, nothing fancy. Does have a fish cleaning station, laundry, showers. Terry (manager) is a great guy. Invited us all over for some smoked salmon that we were all trying so hard to catch:) highly recommend.

The site was wonderful and friendly. Terry the host was super nice and helpful with any needs we had, he helped me set up my smoked salmon in their smokehouse and showed me how to use it. Great location for South Kenai beach. Overall great experience! We will be returning for sure!

What a hidden gem! From the host being kind and accommodating to hot showers and a clean space it was more than we could ask for. If you want to experience Alaska and its beauty at its finest, including loving locals this is the place. Will be back again and again!

Great spot, nice community kitchen and fish cleaning station, spot was very roomy with all the hook ups.
There’s a few of us that keep seeing each other yr to yr. We had a bit rough this time round with weather and slow fishing. Terry, camp host always makes us feel welcome. I hated that I had to head home early, but rest of crew made the best of times and came home with lots of sockeye! Until next time!

Camp spot was nice and we had some trees around us. The fish cleaning station is amazing...tables...tubs...hose...sink and knives.
Staff also was super cool about getting our fish vacuum sealed even when it was late.
Def will stay here again for our next fishing trip on the Kenai.

Great camp spot and camp hosts. Close to both Kenai River and Kassilof River dip net and fishing areas. Would definitely recommend!
TL;DR: We had a great time and plan to stay here again.
John was easy to communicate with and Terry, the camp host, was wonderful. Our site (#3 back in) was good, although it took a few attempts to make sure our awning didn't extend into a tree.
We came down from Anchorage to go dipnetting on the Kenai. The fish cleaning area was excellent, and the chamber vac was commercial grade. The bathrooms were clean and it was nice to use the dryers after all the rainy days. It's $2 in quarters and Terry can make change.
I worked from my camper and had access to the Starlink network (there's also an extender network). I only had two bars from it, but was able to do my work. Zoom was sometimes unstable, but fine when I turned off my camera.
We can't wait to go back.
This is a good base of operations for a fish camp or other activities in the area. The spots are basic camps spots but the facilities are clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are extremely well maintained. They have a solid set up for fish processing as well.
Recommend talking with the host about the costs of using facilities. They aren’t expensive, but we didn’t have a good understanding and it caused some confusion. A sign with a price list would be a good addition.
Overall, however, it is a great place to stay and will stay again.

Albatross was a great site for our fishing trip. We had storage for two large tents and the communal space was great to get out of the rain. We liked the filet station for cleaning our salmon. Terry the campground host was very hospitable and helpful during our stay.
we had a short stay however, the location suited our needs and Terry was a great host. We are going to come back again.

Spot #2 CAMP HOST
Albatross is a great little camp! I love the description and it fits perfectly. We weren't too far from anything and had peace and quiet. All amenities were great. We have a 5th wheel with everything we need. If you are looking for a campgroud with all the bells and whistles then this isn't for you.
We thoroughly enjoyed it and so did our dogs.

Heck of alot nicer and cheaper in the area and I don't know why they have the name Fishcamp because not near the river and fish station is nothing to call a fish station. 5 bucks for a shower for 20 minutes.
Jonathan is a very friendly and helpful host, and we would gladly stay at his Campground again.
Not the environment we were looking for... we didn't stay and found other more appropriate accommodations

Albatross was the perfect place for our dipnetting trip. It is close to the south beach entrance and has fish cleaning stations to process your catch. We stay every year at dipnetting time.
The owner Jonathan was very accommodating. The area was not like a campground and more like an RV parking camp. Great hook-ups for power, water and sewer. The shower and laundry facilities were having an issue but the camp host Terry made up for it. I thought it was a bit expensive for the lack of wilderness around it but you can smoke, can and process your fish all in the communal. The camp host can show you how if you are not experienced in process your goods already.
We will definitely stay there again if we get a discount! The area was perfect for fishing the Kenai.
Albatross Fish Camp is really close to the Kenai and the Kasilof rivers so super conveniently located! It’s easy to get to and the people are so friendly. There is room to clean your fish and they have bags and a vacuum sealer for a fee as well as freezer space. There is always a fire going at night and people telling their share of fish stories. The cabins are cute and simple with most everything you need. I love the low maintenance vibe and look forward to many more visits!
**Beware of this scam listing!** The advertised amenities don’t exist - no bathroom, shower, laundry, or WiFi despite being listed and priced accordingly.
Host Jonathan claims the listing was “updated to show bathrooms temporarily out of order” but this is false - I booked specifically searching for shower/bathroom amenities and his listing appeared in those results with full pricing.
Upon arrival, camp host Terry admitted these facilities were “under construction.” He temporarily gave us access to an Airbnb bathroom/shower, but revoked access at 10 PM when new guests arrived, forcing us to leave at night to find another campsite.
Jonathan refused any refund, claiming we “used the site” despite his false advertising. He also falsely accused us of being “rude” to Terry, when Terry was actually helpful and we parted on good terms.
**The real red flag:** Jonathan’s response shows he knew the facilities were unavailable yet kept the listing active at full price, collecting money for amenities that don’t exist. His defensive, blame-shifting response confirms this is intentional deception, not an honest mistake.
Save your money and book with honest hosts who provide what they advertise.

It was a good place to stay that was close to both the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers. The fish cleaning stations were set up well and made it super convenient to clean and package our fish. We will definitely stay again.

Very kind host and a nice community kitchen/eating area. Great infrastructure with clean showers, toilets and washing machines. All needed connectors for RVs (fresh water, power and sewer) are available on the spot.
This campsite is a hidden gem. We were referred here by a friend and have found our yearly spot. We were able to cut and clean our fish, then able to smoke it for three days. We were also able to shower and do laundry on site. Everything you need for a great fishing trip. I’m hesitant about referring people because I don’t want it to become over crowded because it’s so amazing.

We had a great time everything was great. The only thing we would suggest is that they have a place to dump the trash. John and Terry were amazing hosts. Would definitely stay there again.
