Great spot super close to Anchorage and hiking but feels very remote! Was a great spot to stay our first night in Alaska after picking up our RV rental!

Hideaway Camp
Probably the best camping option in Anchorage if you want a peaceful and exceptional experience. It’s a nice little spot on a quiet road on the hillside. Ethan offers a power hookup and water but we didn’t need to use them. Ethan is super friendly and treats you like a friend. I will always stay here now if I need a place in Anchorage to park our trailer!

Ethan's Hideaway Camp is a quiet and secluded yet still close to the city which worked out perfectly for us. The site was well kept and included power as well. I would definitely stay again.

Can’t express how great a host Ethan was last night. Easy communication leading up to our stay, nice property and we were visited by a mom and baby moose. Would highly recommend staying here Quiet, safe, 5 Stars.

We loved camping at Ethan's Hideaway! We cancelled our 2nd week at a local municipal campground because of highway noise and we are so pleased that we did. Ethan's spot is serene, wooded and while on a residential gravel road, hours would often go by without any cars passing by. The area is very sparsely populated, it felt like it was just us out there in the woods. While the feel is remote, we were still close enough to the city that a quick drive took us to local trails and in to town to visit friends & pick up groceries, etc. Ethan was welcoming and was always available to answer questions or offer assistance. We enjoyed the firepit and wood he provided. If we return to Anchorage with our camper, we will re-visit his Hideaway!

Great spot for an overnight in Anchorage. Ethan has a nice flat site set up on the road up to his property in a relatively peaceful, quiet neighborhood. Would stay again.

Quiet and peaceful location away from the city center. Water is available for free, and electricity for $5 extra. Host Ethan is very friendly and has good communication. I would recommend this for an RV stay in Anchorage, much better than an RV park.

We’ve had an amazing stay! The spot is spacious, quiet and still close to Anchorage. Ethan and Kim really went out of their way to make us feel at home. They provide everything you might need and are so helpful. It was great to meet them and have dinner together. A spot we would definitely recommend to anyone!

Staying at Ethan’s hideaway camp made for an absolutely perfect 3 night stay in Anchorage. Ethan and his wife are incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. The plot of land is flat, private, and very easily accessible to all the happenings of Anchorage. Water, power, and trash were readily available (and bear spray!) and Ethan was able to offer additional guidance and help regarding various things to do! Our dog Dunkin loved playing with his dog and all in all, we all had a great time calling this “home” during our stay. The firepit at night, was a huge hit as well! We will definitely be back! A++!

The location was great and super convenient to everything in anchorage. It was a nice, pretty, and quiet space to camp for the night. Ethan was extremely generous! Would recommend!

We ended up not being able to stay here (we’re out behind schedule on our end). Prior to the stay, Ethan was very communicative and checked in with what we needed and when we planned to be there. Once we knew we wouldn’t make it for the night, he refunded us without us even asking, which we didn’t expect. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay here and are sad that we weren’t able to experience his place.

Parking my campervan on Ethan's property was exactly what I needed! After a gloomy first week in Anchorage fighting for a decent campsite elsewhere, I needed somewhere quiet and safe I could set up camp for a bit, and the ability to charge my house batteries, if possible.
Ethan's property offered that and more. The property is within a quiet residential neighborhood with a quintessential woods woven throughout. The road leading to the property winds quite a bit, so drive safely! But other than a few bumps at the end it is extremely easy to reach, and after the "hustle and bustle" of Anchorage, is a nice reprieve to escape into the woodsy atmosphere.
Ethan was here to greet me and helped direct me into my spot. He made sure I knew where everything was so I could hook up, and the bear spray made me feel much more secure....as I was straightening out my van in its spot, Ethan pointed out a female moose and her calf just behind my van! Both Ethan and his wife offered me great tips for staying safe as I explore Alaska, and they were so, so kind to me. They introduced me to their dogs, and it felt very much like staying with family with how kind and considerate they were. They were very respectful of my privacy while also remaining available for anything I needed. I can not overstate how great it was to be here! Would highly recommend staying here, especially if you need something quieter and a little bit "away" while still being 15 minutes from the main parts of Anchorage.

Ethan's place is perfect - close to town and the trails. Ethan welcomed us and gave us the lay of the land, offering water, electrical, wifi, etc. We'd certainly stay here again!

We had a nice level, quiet spot to stay for two nights. The very friendly hosts, Ethan and his wife, had water and power available but we didn’t need them. He was very good about making sure everything was good but then left us alone. He also has a place for trash. We even saw a moose the first morning driving down the hill. We would stay there again!

I enjoyed RV camping on Ethans property. He was very attentive and offered us electricity hook ups. He also asked about water but we graciously declined. His property was quite and peaceful.

Very quiet location, not a lot of traffic. It was great to get away from the city and not be packed into a campground like sardines! Close to Flattop's hiking and great views. We enjoyed looking for wildlife. Host was very accommodating and helpful.
