Our shorefront and small float serve for swimming, fishing, or launching a canoe. Fly in guests may tie up at the float. Christiansen’s crystal clear waters provide wonderful fishing for rainbow and steelhead all summer, and through the ice in winter. Additional fishing, swimming and hiking is just down the road at our chain of lakes park - a good place for birding and berry picking.
Cross country skiing possibilities are endless in winter.
There are many back country trails, promising a true wilderness experience to off roaders whether on foot, on a bike, or atv. Unlimited camping is pemitted backpackers on Alaska State Lands. In season, guests may also reserve walk in camping on our semi remote properties. Tents, camp supplies and firewood may be set up for your adventure.
Always be aware of fire danger. All fire danger warnings and restrictions are posted regularly and are mandatory!

This is a 10-acre property along the edge of the north bank of the Klutina River--a major king salmon-fishing stream that flows into the famous Copper River just one half mile downriver. That part of the property used for camping along the river is 3 acres.
This is a SEASONAL location: Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend with NEW LOWER prices. At this time only the riverside sites (south side of the river dike that one drives across) are available for camping or RV parking. We have no power or other hook-ups on the riverside except that water is available on site through a series of new DEC-approved pipe and spigets, along with more fire pits and more picnic tables.
Showers are extra @ $5.00 a person; Laundry tokens: $3.00 per washer load or 40 minute dryer load. Bar on site. Food service coming later THIS 2024 season. WIFI is only on the north side of the dike near any of the overnight rooms or the bar.
We recommend no RVs to exceed 28 feet on the river side of the dike. Very private sites and spread out--far more so than other nearby locations.
The public restroom is on the north side of the dike. AND we have several budget rooms available on the north side of the dike as well. In 2026, these start at $125/night. These all have Dish Net, WIFI, and coffee in the rooms. The bunkhouse, which can handle up to a dozen people, starts at $300/night for 4 persons.
This property is undergoing development. We are adding more picnic tables, burn sites, and water connections for safe camping.
Just to the east, across the Copper River, is the 12 million acre Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Our property is conveniently located in driving time almost exactly halfway between Anchorage and McCarthy-Kennecott. It is about 3 1/2 hours in either direction.
At the Klutina you can charter a sight-seeing river boat or you can white-water raft from a point several miles up a historic trail that follows the river to its source--Klutina Lake and Klutina Glacier. You can obtain a visitors' license and fish here for salmon. You can also hike along the dike or numerous trails in the area.

Our roomy (320 sq. ft.) stout log constructed cabin is comfortably furnished with a dining table, chairs, and a futon couch on the main floor. In the loft, there is a queen-sized bed.
We provide you with 900-thread count cotton sheets, an extra warm comforter, pillows, and plush towels for your use. Showers/bathrooms are centrally located and a short walk from your cabin.
You'll share a centralized outdoor cooking area and our communal fire ring.
All properties in our area are off-the-grid.
Here is what off-the-grid means for your stay at Fireweed Mountain Lodge:
WATER-USE
Centrally located shower use is limited to specific hours each day since they require generator power (increases noise pollution, fuel—bummers). Same with our toilets. At all other times, a pristine clean outhouse with a view of Fireweed Mountain is available.
Water for drinking and cooking is always available on-site.
FOOD STORAGE
Coolers, food, and scented items must be stored inside cabins or in your vehicle. We have on-site parking so it’s simple to access your things at mealtimes.
TRASH
Pack-in/pack-out is the norm in Alaska. Garbage service literally does not exist—not just for guests—for all people in this area. If you brought it with you, you'll need to take it with you when you leave. Please respect this norm and plan ahead.
POWER & SIGNAL
This cabin does not have electricity. Please bring your own device chargers, lanterns, and headlamps. We are not equipped to charge devices. Most guests charge devices in their vehicles—parked a short walk from the cabin. Cabins don’t have power or lights. We don't provide lanterns.

Additional fishing, swimming and hiking is just down the road at our chain of lakes park - a good place for birding and berry picking.
Cross country skiing possibilities are endless in winter.
There are many back country trails, promising a true wilderness experience to off roaders whether on foot, on a bike, or atv. Unlimited camping is pemitted backpackers on Alaska State Lands. In season, guests may also reserve walk in camping on our semi remote properties. Tents, camp supplies and firewood may be set up for your adventure.
Always be aware of fire danger. All fire danger warnings and restrictions are posted regularly and are mandatory!

This is a 10-acre property along the edge of the north bank of the Klutina River--a major king salmon-fishing stream that flows into the famous Copper River just one half mile downriver. That part of the property used for camping along the river is 3 acres.
This is a SEASONAL location: Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend with NEW LOWER prices. At this time only the riverside sites (south side of the river dike that one drives across) are available for camping or RV parking. We have no power or other hook-ups on the riverside except that water is available on site through a series of new DEC-approved pipe and spigets, along with more fire pits and more picnic tables.
Showers are extra @ $5.00 a person; Laundry tokens: $3.00 per washer load or 40 minute dryer load. Bar on site. Food service coming later THIS 2024 season. WIFI is only on the north side of the dike near any of the overnight rooms or the bar.
We recommend no RVs to exceed 28 feet on the river side of the dike. Very private sites and spread out--far more so than other nearby locations.
The public restroom is on the north side of the dike. AND we have several budget rooms available on the north side of the dike as well. In 2026, these start at $125/night. These all have Dish Net, WIFI, and coffee in the rooms. The bunkhouse, which can handle up to a dozen people, starts at $300/night for 4 persons.
This property is undergoing development. We are adding more picnic tables, burn sites, and water connections for safe camping.
Just to the east, across the Copper River, is the 12 million acre Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Our property is conveniently located in driving time almost exactly halfway between Anchorage and McCarthy-Kennecott. It is about 3 1/2 hours in either direction.
At the Klutina you can charter a sight-seeing river boat or you can white-water raft from a point several miles up a historic trail that follows the river to its source--Klutina Lake and Klutina Glacier. You can obtain a visitors' license and fish here for salmon. You can also hike along the dike or numerous trails in the area.

TRASH
Pack-in/pack-out is the norm in Alaska. Garbage service literally does not exist—not just for guests—for all people in this area. If you brought it with you, you'll need to take it with you when you leave. Please respect this norm and plan ahead.

Great property, private with great accommodations. Scott and Lindsay were accommodating and met all of our needs. They have wonderful add ons for the stay including firewood and a s’mores kit to have the best weekend. Their camper is clean and efficient for all of your needs. Can’t recommend this site enough for a great getaway!

This place is so amazing!! The view is unbelievable. You can see the full mountain range and the Homer Spit right from the porch. It feels very private, set back away from the house and with a separate parking spot. The host family is so wonderful and they give you the perfect balance between respecting your privacy and being willing to give advice on things to do in the area. The location couldn't be better; it's right in the middle of town and less than 5 minutes down to the Homer Spit. The tent itself is super posh! They've got it hooked up with comfy beds and nice sheets and blankets, lighting, and lots of outlets. Even though it was summer and didn't get dark until well past midnight, it stayed nice and dark inside the tent to we could sleep in. Not much road noise at all that we noticed. We brought our kids and they loved playing in the yard and sleeping in the big tent. I wish we could have stayed longer! We'll be back!!

1 night at Alaska Glacier/Seaview Glamping
We enjoyed our first visit so much came back and tried out their other tent. We were not disappointed. The queen bed was as great as tent #2 bed and linens. Comfortable, decor is a bit more Boho w/brighter color theme, very nice. Had its own picnic table with huge umbrella, fire pit with a first nights firewood ready to fire up and Adirondack Chairs w/ throw blankets, Lots of Lanterns, soft rugs, throw pillows, propane heater to take that evening chill away was available. It’s Harvest time, we picked Rhubarb, Red Raspberries that are huge, sweet and delicious, had fresh broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce so much produce to go with our fresh salmon we caught. Mel is a fantastic Hostess, she’s a fountain of local knowledge, assisted us with booking suggestion, best trails, restaurants, breweries, charters, and she knows everyone, glamping truly exposes you to more of the Best of a community from a locals view. Weekend Trip to Alaska Glacier/Seaview Glamping
Brand new all weather tents on private deck with real queen beds, high thread count sheets & nice furniture inside & out with Gorgeous views! Cozy down comforter to keep you warm along with safe indoor heater if needed. They also have firewood on site if needed and a greenhouse for veggies. Salad anyone?Plenty of lighting inside & out that you control & you can even charge your electronics inside the tent. Unlike an average tent there’s no condensation buildup. Perfect location for walks, biking, hiking, fishing charters or snow machining in winter. Plentiful raspberry bushes to pick from. Fire pit for s’mores & place to hang your wet waders after fishing. Homer spit, cool restaurants, bars, native artwork & unique gift stores all very close by. Mel is an amazing host & can point you in the right direction for any of your interests. She goes above & beyond in making your stay perfect!! Beautiful open yard, too. This is the only place I’ll ever stay now when I’m in Homer. Better book ahead as this is a steal deal!!

Weekend Trip to Lazy J Ranch
Absolutely beautiful place to stay! The cabins were amazing and had everything we could have needed! Loved seeing all the animals out there too! It’s such a wonderful and beautiful drive right outside of Homer. Everything was nice and close including the wash house which was super nice to have and clean! Vikki was an outstanding host! Despite all the questions I had, she was super kind and very quick to respond and accommodating! Will definitely be returning in the future!

Our stay at Moose Lodge Cabins was even better than we expected. The cabin was extremely comfortable, well-equipped with everything we needed, and even a few thoughtful extras we didn’t realize we’d want. The location is convenient to Seward yet tucked away in a quiet, peaceful setting. We highly recommend Moose Lodge Cabins and would gladly stay here again.

The Driftwood Inn was central to anything you could want to do in Homer. The room and resident were very clean, and the staff was very accommodating. The only downside was the bed was a little short… My feet were touching the closet at the end of the bed while sleeping.

This place is *spotless* - I didn’t see any micro trash. Bathrooms are sparkling. Shower is probably the cleanest camp shower I’ve ever seen (and the water is HOT, with fresh towels provided daily). My site has some mild road noise during the day but it was not bothersome at night at all. Firewood is inexpensive and easy to get from the shed. Host is very communicative. Definitely enjoyed my stay here.

The owner Jonathan was very accommodating. The area was not like a campground and more like an RV parking camp. Great hook-ups for power, water and sewer. The shower and laundry facilities were having an issue but the camp host Terry made up for it. I thought it was a bit expensive for the lack of wilderness around it but you can smoke, can and process your fish all in the communal. The camp host can show you how if you are not experienced in process your goods already.
We will definitely stay there again if we get a discount! The area was perfect for fishing the Kenai.

Albatross Fish Camp is really close to the Kenai and the Kasilof rivers so super conveniently located! It’s easy to get to and the people are so friendly. There is room to clean your fish and they have bags and a vacuum sealer for a fee as well as freezer space. There is always a fire going at night and people telling their share of fish stories. The cabins are cute and simple with most everything you need. I love the low maintenance vibe and look forward to many more visits!
