Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Remote property 6 miles up an unmaintained road. Trail is traversable with 4 wheel drive vehicles and off road vehicles in the summer and snow machine in the winter. The is a spring fed creek passing through on its way to sheep creek. Glimpses of the Talkeetna Range and Sleeping Lady. In a forest of old spruce and birch. Lots of moose and bear. Wild berries everywhere in the late summer and fall. Less than a mile from thousands of acres of state land and a 4 mile hike to Sheep Creek access. Site has an outhouse and fire ring.Grassy tent site on a quiet rough remote trail. 40 acres of raw wooded land to explore. Small tow behind campers and truck bed campers possible. Large campers won’t make the trail. Winter access is snow machine only. Glimpses of the Talkeetna Mountains and Susitna Mountain. Small creek fed by a spring on the neighboring property. Lots of wild blueberries and currants to enjoy. No power. No outhouse. No water. Spring water is not tested. Recommend hauling in water. Nearest clean water fill location is a spring fed culvert at a pull off at mile 89 on the highway.

Vehicles under 30 feet allowed
Allowed rigs: travel trailers, pop-up campers, class B RVs, campervans, cars, truck campers, and rooftop tents
Narrow very bumpy 6 mile trail. Low trailers and vehicles may drag on some bumps. Long trailers will be difficult around some bends and extremely difficult to turn around. Brush will hit the sides on your vehicle.
