The peace and tranquillity and spectacular scenery make this the ideal place to relax and unwind or the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore everything the Tweed Shire and the Northern Rivers Region has to offer.
On arrival you get to choose your own unpowered spot. You then set up camp. The caretaker will check you in at the spot you have chosen towards the end of the day.
Misty Mountain Campgrounds is suitable for tent campers, caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes..
PLEASE NOTE - Children aged between 3 and 15 are booked under Child Rates, Children 2 and under are Free and do not have to be booked in.

We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

CHILDREN are to be accompanied by an adult at all times if walking around the property.

The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.

The campsites are situated right on the bank of the mighty Clarence River, perfectly suited for campers who enjoy the peace and quiet.

Our sites are available for booking up to 3 months in advance.
Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos and on occasions a couple of visiting brolgas. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is about 100 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house.
Pets are welcome but must be kept under control.
Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place.
Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase.

We are a dog-friendly park so the whole family is welcome. Dogs need to be controlled at all times and cleaned up after. No aggressive dogs please.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred).
Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available.
Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd.

Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm.
We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park.
Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile.
There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied.
We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask.
We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag.
We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs.
We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender.
If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows.
We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.

Come and set up camp in an open paddock (14 acres) with 3 dams up on Mangrove Mountain of the hinterland of Gosford, a stones throw from all the Central Coast has to offer. SADDLES restaurant, Calga. Mooney Mooney Club has great food dine on the verandah at sunset. Walkabout Wildlife Park is almost diagonally opposite the Jones Road entrance. Sommersby Waterfalls. Avoca and Terrigal beaches 1/2 hour away.
The block is 14 acres adjoining Brisbane Water National Park there are bush trails to Weeney Creek out the back gate.
Situated a few minutes off the expressway close to East Gosford shopping, (12 minutes drive) Kariong Shops and service station 9 minutes away Somersby Falls, Woy Woy Falls and Glenworth Valley. Sydney CBD is 67kms south with Newcastle an hour to the North. Just 30 minutes from Hornsby,

There are no Amenities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Early check-in and late check-out available by arrangement. Additional vehicle access are allowed upon request.

Lovely spot to camp up for a few days. The hosts are communicative and attentive. There are a few camp spots close together. But, when I went, there were a few spots between myself and other campers so it was nice and quiet and private

One of the best stays we have had on our lap around Australia. Cheryl, Rick, Glen and Meg were absolutely amazing. They made sure we were set for day/nights. They were amazing with our boys with feeding the animals. We 100% will stay here again if we pass through! Thank you guys, we miss you all already x

Lovely place, beautiful horses to watch. Site 1 is private and easily accessed. Good phone reception and easy access to the freeway and central coast. Good value. This was my 4th time here and it’s always a pleasure.

Spent 5 lovely days alongside the beautiful Wilson River. Rick and Cheryl are amazing hosts. Friendly and helpful and full of knowledge of the area. The campsites are well spaced out and in great condition. The walk along the riverbed was amazing, even tried my hand at skimming stones.
Will definitely return, especially with my grandbabies as the grounds are perfect for little feet.

We loved camping at Wywurri 2. We had site 4 and it was nice and private and there were great hikes near by in Brisbane Water National Park. The site was easy to find (even in the dark). We look forward to returning.

Great little spot, only stayed 1 night passing through.
Beautiful property, clean amenities & a nice little walk to the river. The camp sites themselves were very well maintained and tidy.
Owners were very hospitable and accommodating offering eggs and firewood for sale.
Will definitely be back to stay again.

We loved our stay at Bundilla River Camp.
Perfect spot right near the river with plenty of ways to access it. Only one other camper at the time so we were able to spread out and take our pick of sites. Toilets were very clean and accessible. Host was very friendly. Will definitely be back :))

Beautiful place with lots of animals! A kind and warm welcome from Rick and Cheryl. We forgot to book the farm tour, but Cheryl was happy to show us around and we got to feed the animals. We even got some delicous lemonades! Toilets and campground were clean.

we had pleasant stay on a nice level semi bush block, it was clean and all other campers at a good distance away to not be disturbed, the neighbors got cranky with us for patting the horses when the horses approach us while we were walking the track. lovely spot and close to home, will most definitely use again.

We took our van & two young kids and had a perfect long weekend here! The sites were really long so we could set up the van/car at the front and use the back for the fire pit and ball games etc. it was so good to be able to feed/pat the animals and go for tractor rides too. The kids were extra happy with the sandpit, trucks and play kitchen! The citrus and tomatoes were delicious & such fun for the kids to be able to pick & eat straight away. Nathan was so friendly & helpful - it’s such a well run set up. We especially loved the two farm dogs Billie & Steve! We will definitely be back!

It was a very spacious area to camp. The host was incredibly friendly, and you get your own dedicated spot to build a campfire. The place is really quiet and peaceful.
I didn't see any running water available, so make sure to bring enough water to clean your utensils and cooking gear.
Additionally, it is less than an hour's drive from the Gold Coast, and the road to get there is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended!

Where to go
The Blue Mountains
Lace up your boots for one of Australia's best bushwalking destinations. The ridge of mountains two hours west of Sydney by road or train is a World Heritage-listed wonderland of sandstone canyons, waterfalls, valleys, and clifftop lookouts. The national park offers remote bush campsites, or you can go for a bit more comfort in one of the region’s many caravan and holiday parks.
NSW North Coast
The coastline of northern NSW, from north of Newcastle to the Queensland border, is classic beach holiday territory. Almost every town has at least one caravan park, often with waterfront campsites, and most of the coastline is protected by national parks with fantastic camping spots and facilities. Flanked by the Great Dividing Range and World Heritage rainforests, the North Coast has Hipcampers spoilt for choice.
NSW South Coast
Every bit as wild as the North Coast, the South Coast stretches south of Sydney to the Victorian border with a string of national parks, state forests, campgrounds, and seaside towns with family-friendly holiday parks. Kangaroos and wallabies graze the camping grounds and laze on the beaches, which have some of the whitest sand in the world. Kayak the waterways, bushwalk the forests, and soak in the views from the mountaintops.
Snowy Mountains
Alpine New South Wales, also known as the Snowy Mountains, stretches from the ACT south to the Victorian border along the spine of the Great Dividing Range. Along with hundreds of camping spots, the big attraction of Kosciuszko National Park—the largest national park in NSW—is Australia’s highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko. In winter, the area is a magnet for skiers, and in summer, fishing, bushwalking, and mountain biking reign supreme.
NSW Outback
The far western corner of NSW is a great introduction to the Outback, where endless red dust plains seem to stretch on forever under cloudless blue skies. Take a road trip out here and you'll see plenty of kangaroos and emus, but not many people. National parks such as Mungo, Mutawintji, and Kinchega offer superb camping spots, Aboriginal art sites, and stunning scenery.
