Over the past two decades, we've planted thousands of grapevines on our 60 acre property. More recently, we have taken the next big step and started producing some fantastic wines from our grapes! Our property expands over 50 acres allowing you to enjoy sweeping views and a peaceful environment. We are located less than 1.5 hours from DC which makes us an awesome weekend adventure out of the city. Our property is also a short drive away from many hiking trails in Shenandoah National Park. After hiking in the park, come back to enjoy some of our wine at our picnic area overlooking the vines! We are also within striking distance of several other great restaurants, wineries and distilleries. Other great activities nearby include apple picking, spelunking, swimming, kayaking, rafting, and of course wine tasting. We are near to Shenandoah National Park, Shenandoah River, Luray Caverns, Skyline Caverns, and Old Rag Mountain. Your host is available and enjoys getting to know Hipcampers. We will greet campers upon arrival but leave campers to enjoy their stay!

Pretty but very noisy dog
Overall the site was nice, with a clean restroom and lots of amenities, but sadly there is a neighbor’s dog who barked the whole night, making our tranquil glamping experience far from tranquil. Also, and maybe I misread the listing, but we had fellow campers with us both nights (two different groups), so not as private as I had hoped, but I suppose better than being at a state park. The views of the vineyard were superb, but not sure I would stay here again just because of the noisy dog for the cost.

The site was overgrown and closer to the other site than advertised. On two nights we had three camps set-up on a two site campground. Overall, the area looked abandoned and in disrepair. We never met the host. Great view, but that’s about it. For the amount we paid, I would have expected the grass to be mowed, at the very least.

Tent Camping with Vineyard views
We were excited to camp here since it’s a unique site (vineyard/winery). We booked expecting to camp and enjoy the winery but unfortunately, the winery is temporarily closed. We didn’t know this and it would have been nice to get a notice on this from the host. The nice worker there informed us that the winery was temporarily closed and unsure when it will reopen and we were pretty disappointed. The site with vineyard views was good and it had a picnic table and a fire pit. It’s a great spot to watch the stars and the area is pretty private. Cell service is not great so bring a book or movies downloaded if you need to occupy yourself while camping. A couple of things I’d like to point out for improvement is labeling the campsites and building signs on where to go upon arrival, building a simple outdoor shower is a nice touch, labeling the potable water supply on which hose to use, investing in having electricity in the camp sites, and notifying campers whether the winery is open/close. For $75 a night, I feel that electricity could be added (most state-ran campgrounds charge $50 with electric hook up). We’d go back again only if the winery is operational again.

Loved tent camping with winery views. The bathroom was clean, the firewood was plentiful, and the two tent sites are far enough apart you don’t feel on top of each other. The area was beautiful! Would absolutely go back!

Awesome spot!
My girlfriend and I loved the more secluded spot on the property since it was further away from the parking lot. The nature sounds and fireflies at night were awesome. The firepit and picnic table at the site were great and there was plenty of room for a two person tent and a truck. Great colors during sunset and sunrise! Check with the host first to make sure there are no private events the day you camp so you can take advantage of the winery as well.

Beautiful views of the vineyard, and the spots are spaced out so you don’t really have to worry about anyone else being there.
