98 acre working produce farm with lots of wild space and creek that flows the entire property. Close to Downtown Staunton and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lots to see and do in this area or just relax and enjoy the wildlife and the sounds of blue herons passing. The handmade timberframe cabin has lots of character and complete visual privacy. 12x16 space with twin mattress beds, kitchen area with propane cookstove, water filter, dry sink. Small woodstove and loft for sleeping. Sleeps (4). Outhouse available close by the cabin. Access is fairly easy but would be best in 4wd vehicle. In the case of inclement weather, cabin may not be accessible. Please, no dogs as we have lots of farm animals.Meadow Cabin is privately nestled on the edge of our working vegetable farm between the confluence of Christians Creek and Silver Branch. Listen to the creek, watch the birds and wildlife and enjoy the peace and quiet. Walks along the creek and up to our ridge pasture where there are views of the Alleghany Mountains. 12x16 hand-crafted timber frame cabin with a loft. Sleeps (4) with room for more sleeping pads. One Twin bed, plus (2) narrow Twin memory foam folding pads in the loft. One narrow Twin memory foam folding pad make up sofa and can be used for sleeping. Bring your own sleeping bags/linens. Woodstove. Firewood provided. Kitchen with propane cookstove, utensils, chest cooler, dry sink and Berkey water filter. Covered porch with chairs to enjoy the awesome sunsets and campfire. Dry cabin. No plumbing. No electricity. No linens provided. Outhouse just 40 ft from cabin. Guests must be prepared to build and maintain woodstove fire. Once going, very comfortable inside throughout cold season.

Such a lovely place. Very quaint area we enjoyed two nights in this amazing little cabin that had everything we needed. Extra points for Bill the dog who was such a joy and a very nice host who made us feel welcome. Highly recommand!!

We had such a great time at this private rustic cabin. We were greeted by the nicest border collie who escorted us to the cabin. There were a few ways in which we which we were better prepared or things we did that were helpful that we would have wanted to know: - The creek is dried out/at a very low level. Do not plan to bathe or fish in it - Bring extra firewood, fire starter, & water - Bring cleaning supplies. There were a some dead bugs and we needed paper towels. - Bring extra toilet paper - bring a larger cast iron pan if you plan to cook for 2+ Thoroughly recommend for a quiet weekend that’s rejuvenating but also in reach of Stanton (very cool town) for shopping and dining.
