RIBA is a lovely spot. I love camping in remote places. There is no road, train or other noise. There is a convenience store, gas and a tire shop, a few blocks away. Perfect for boondocking.

This is a great safe place to camp if you’re in the area. Directions were clear and had no problem finding the place. However the sites were not marked. Markings and some gravel would make this so much better. The building on the property is in need of some TLC as well as a major yard clean up.

Krista was great to communicate with, quick to respond, and detailed in her instructions, which was helpful. We had all the hookups we needed. Her descriptions of the campsite and area were accurate. Be aware that there are fire ants everywhere that like to bite. This obviously isn't the host's fault. It's just the nature of the terrain. At night there were always numerous dogs barking and gunshots going off regularly in the nearby area. Just FYI.

Very peaceful nights under clear sky's with stars so big you can touch them. I spent a good amount of time here at the ranch. There's a couple supermarkets near as well as fuel. There is a dump station nearby. The sites have electric hookups. The Host is super friendly and answers fast. I will be staying here whenever I'm nearby.

A GREAT PLACE TO GET AWAY!!!

Our stay there was very peaceful, and it felt very safe. We actually extended our stay several times. They were more than happy to accommodate us, and made it very easy when extending our stay. I would highly recommend to anyone who just needs a place to park for a bit, or simply just wants to essentially disappear away from the hustle and buddies of life for a bit! There are three convenient stores within waking distance, two of which have gas, diesel, and/or propane.. I give it an absolute two thumbs up!!!

This was a good spot for our needs. We stayed the week after Christmas. We weren't looking for anything fancy, just a quiet, affordable place to put up a tent. We were able to use the restroom and shower facilities inside the house. The entire property is fenced, and since we were the only campers, we could play with our dogs off leash; this was a big bonus. (If there had been other campers, we would have kept them tied.) The house is occupied by a couple workmen renting rooms, and they were gone all day and quiet at night. The main noise at night came from people and dogs on neighboring properties, associated with celebrations in the days leading up to new year's. Once that was out of the way, it was quiet the remaining nights. The house is being repaired, and there were a couple piles of construction debris behind the house, but that didn't bother us. The sites are not clearly marked, since we were the only campers it wasn't a problem. The property manager was not on site for the holidays, but there were lots of cameras in the common areas outside and inside, which seems reasonable and didn't bother us. The property owner was responsive to our questions via the app chat. It was a good location for us to do day hikes in the Corkscrew nature area, and it was not far from shopping and basic amenities in the town of Clewiston. Overall, it worked for us.

We absolutely loved Riba Ranch! It was peaceful and quiet. Krista is a wonder HipCamp Host. She was very accommodating with a couple things that came up, our fault. Our pups loved loved the fenced in 3 acres and so did we!! Where are you going to go for that price and let your dogs run like that and know they are safe?!! Loved being on a dead on road. Would absolutely recommend Riba Ranch ✌️

The host Caesar was the best thing about staying here. He was friendly, helpful, kind and very polite. The quiet at night was nice, until our last night when there was a live music outdoor party next door and we woke to automatic gunfire at 2am! It wasn’t directed at anyone, just partiers shooting off some rounds. Nevertheless it was very unsettling and disturbed our sleep for the remainder of the night. The hot shower was nice, but the sulphur smell was really bad. There is no shade at site #5, so would not recommend this spot for renters. We were melting! And the ground is full of ant hills and cacti, so not great for the dog. It is located within about 20min drive to Moore Haven which offers excellent shore fishing, so that was the saving grace for us.

Pro's - Rural location so lovely views of stars/moon - Okaloacoochee Slough Forest Nearby has great walks - Relaxed setting and friendly people onsite (they have air bnb rooms in house) - Laundry onsite - Screened in porch Con's - Poor communication between host and person onsite resulted in us being left waiting at the locked gate for 20mins on arrival - Water is not drinkable (very strong sulphur taste and smell) - Bathroom needs deep (and regular) cleaning

The manager on site greated me as soon as I arrive. The spot was great, got electric hooked up and water tank filled. Really cannot speak highly enough of Ceasar the manager, he was so kind, really made me feel at home. The drive into town is easy and the owner was so flexible. 10/10 it was a perfect first hipcamp experience!

Peaceful spot in center of S FL

This was a nice peaceful spot to call home for our one-month stay in Florida. Both east and west coasts are within a couple hours drive and there is great food and groceries nearby and Clewiston (about 20 minute drive) offers more variety. Site was as described and pictured. We would stay here again.

Hidden gem

We had to evacute because of Hurricane Nicole and were lucky to find this hidden gem. Super quiet, 50 amp, and host were great. A little tricky to find but after a quick phone call to the host we found the location with no problem. We have a 400 footer class A and had plenty of room I just wouldn't want to arrive in the dark for this location . Felt really safe especially with front gate being locked at all times. Excellent Vz 5g coverage .

My overall experience was good. Krista is an amazing host, although we never saw her, she was attentive & easily accessible. This ranch is 25-30 minutes away from civilization including grocery stores, dump station, etc. please be prepared. The site is equipped to accommodate your rig with water, 50 AMP & WiFi. Shared spaces include screened-in porch, (bathroom, kitchen & laundry inside). It's an amazing place to stargaze, have a campfire or simply relax. Walking distance there's a clubhouse that has pool tables, a library, walking trail, basketball & a kid park. 2 Stores both serve food & a wide variety of items. The gas station has hardware items, groceries & beer whilst the Latin store has a more meat market feel. Ceasar the "property manager" seems to put on a face for a good review. The first 2 weeks BEFORE extending he was nice, attentive & there when needed. But he is an extremely judgemental person who doesn't know how to communicate properly with another human being. He's snooty, dismissive & (the property also host airbnb which another guest told me Ceasar sits by the window to listen in on conversations) Very unprofessional, unpleasant & made me very uncomfortable. He made us feel as if we over stayed our welcome after a month. Upgrades: The house could use some heavy cleaning. From the clutter surrounding the porch, cobwebs & spiders all over the porch to simply moping the floor & sweeping. I cannot say I would return definitely but for the price it's good.

I think this place is a good value for your money if you do not mind being out in the country and do not need things to *look* perfect. We enjoyed our stay. This place has a lot of potential. A little yard work, clean up, and maintenance would go a long way. But the price was right and the location was good for us. If you feel the need to be closer to large cities and night life, this is not the place for you. Fort Meyers is about a hour west and Fort Lauderdale is about a hour east. Clewiston is about 25 minutes. Krista always responded quickly and the property manager (Cesar) was there when we arrived to unlock the gate, give us our key, and make sure we had everything we needed to get set up. The property is fenced and we could have let our dog run loose, but most of the time I walked with him on a leash. The dog and I especially liked the shady area back by the old stable. The only time I went in the building was when we left, to leave the key on the table. It looked clean/nice inside… better kept than the outside. I have read the other reviews and in my experience the water was fine. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The review that claimed they did not feel safe because of houses having fences and lights made me laugh. That person also complained about dogs… We never saw any stray dogs. I did hear some dogs barking, but not like she describes. I do remember seeing pictures of horses and a pond in another listing on hipcamp in the area to the west of okeechobee… I think she is confused 🤷🏼‍♀️

Krista has been very friendly, communicative & forward if anything needs to be taken care of. Cesar the property manager goes well above to make sure your accommodations are met & you have a pleasant stay. The property is beautiful. Lots of land to roam, have a bonfire & stargaze. There's are several sites many with hookup connection. 50AMP so bring your convertor of you need. There is water hookup & for the price I was in heaven. There's a sitting area that's shared also the host airbnbs' so kitchen, shower & laundry can be accessible to you with prior notice. There's 2 stores within walking distance. Both of them have tons of basic items you do not need to drive into town but Clewiston Walmart is about 25 mins away so be prepared.
