The best river, stream, or creek camping near La Push

·

In La Push, river camping means waking up to the sound of the Sol Duc or Quillayute rushing past your tent. With over 210 river-side campsites, you’ll find options for every budget—some as low as $15 per night, with the average around $45. Showers, pet-friendly spots, and campfires are standard at most sites. Wildlife-watching draws birders and otter fans, while anglers cast for steelhead and salmon. Swimming holes pop up along the bends, perfect on warmer days. Local favorites include Shangri La Push (1494 reviews), Olympic Adventure Campground (777 reviews), and sol duc rainforest retreat (622 reviews). Bring sturdy shoes—trails get muddy, especially near the riverbanks. Pack a tarp; coastal showers roll in fast. Don’t expect cell service everywhere. Here, it’s just you, the water, and the wild edges of the Olympic Peninsula.

Private property along the Quinault River between NFS land and Olympic National Park, adjacent to Colonel Bob Wilderness and just past The Quinault Nation reservation. Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress. There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets. Guests love staying here: "This spot was everything we were hoping for and more! Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. If the description on the website seems like what you're looking for, I would highly recommend this location."

Spirit of The Wild | Stay in our Wonderland | Experience our Style. Lovers and friends, wanderers and explorers, all of you who dream of a far away place to release your free spirit and venture freely and fearlessly into the unknown. Stay in our "Spirit of the Wilderness" dry camp site and tap into the raw beauty of this unique land. A place less explored. A wild, wonderland. The Spirit of the Wild is an eco-chic and woodsy, Bohème lifestyle brand curated and offered to lovers and friends, wanderers and explorers by a band of sisters who as children, lived at the backdrop of a wild and slightly mystical forest. It's there that they first experienced the beautiful and potent energy of places less explored and the bonds experiences in nature create. Defined by their love for each other, their brother and their parents and the magnificent lands they call home, the sisters have since joined each other for new ventures in the wilderness. With fully self-reliant type of camping, Spirit of the Wild offers isolation, adventure, and opportunity to forge a deeper connection with the natural world. If you share the principle of self-sufficiency and little to no reliance on external amenities or facilities, this site is one anyone could ever wish for. If like us, you wish to have those starry nights under light of the moon with your nearest and dearest close, roasting marshmallows for S’mores like the children we once were, we welcome you as we collaborate and create new narratives that showcase the ways in which we grew up on this wild and magical land. If you’re planning a stay in Forks, stay wild. Learn more about this land: The petite campground your Spirit of the Wilderness tent is styled at is just located .05 miles from the heart of Forks, Washington. The campground is a cliché in the best possible way: tent sites framed by towering alder and conifer trees, a shooting range in the distance. And just a few miles beyond your sleeping bag are countless trails leading to the forest, creek and rivers just alike. Lean on your natural self reliance, independence and get ready to camp in an undeveloped area of our wilderness where you are free from infrastructure while being close to the city. After dusk, you can enjoy the serenity and solitude of nature without the noise and interruptions common in busy campgrounds. This type of camping is a refreshing and self-sufficient way to experience the great outdoors, combining adventure, independence, and privacy. Before you set out on your camping trip on this undeveloped area of wilderness, ensure you understand the nuances of this type of camping, pack the right gear, research your planned camping spot, and always prepare for it being wild.
