The Ultimate Camping Trip

Had a great experience at Brandie's. Terrific communication prior to our arrival, she answered questions about the area. Our yurt was clean and spacious. Didn't try the shower but the portal potties were fine. We even had a visit the next day from a sweet neighbor dog who must have smelled breakfast. The sound of the river behind us was lovely. Definitely recommend.

Overall we had a very nice experience except for the broken shower. The camp ground was nice and I loved the playground that my kid could just walk out and enjoy. We had to leave a day early since there was no shower and our phone had no connection so we couldn’t contact anyone to let them know.

It felt like we were camping directly next to strangers, more like a crowded campground than the private experience the listing suggested. The communal areas were nice, but there was very little privacy, and we did not have the river access we were promised. The porta potty was also disgusting and smelled terrible, which made the experience even more unpleasant. There was also no heater, so be prepared for very cold nights. These are important details that should have been clearly disclosed in the listing.

Heaven on earth

This campground was absolutely everything I wanted. A rustic tent set up with bathrooms available, water on site, a lovely little fire pit and a beautiful spot to relax next to a river. I thought I was gonna have to drive around for a while to find the perfect spot to relax, but it turns out it was right at the campsite. Absolutely perfect. I wish I could live there year-round.

Very quiet camp site. We used the site for a jumping off point to explore the National Park. We did bring extra bedding and were glad as the blankets were thin. We didn’t have a campfire the first night as the wood was not stocked but there was wood the second night. Good experience.

We loved this camping experience! The area was pretty private, the location was amazing, the river was right next to us, the tent and beds were clean and comfortable, and the other campers were quiet and polite. I'd love to stay there again!

I really loved the yurt! We stayed super warm under the blankets provided, enjoyed the fire wood available for purchase, and loved falling asleep to the sound of the river and the rain.

This spot seems like it has lots of potential. However, nothing worked. It was super rainy so we couldn't utilize a fire for cooking and none of the amenities worked. There was no gas for the grills, garbages were almost full, it was just a soppy mess. The was a lantern in our tent but the battery was dead. Nothing seemed kept up. Though I will say that the mattress was very comfortable.

Camping within the rainforest!

The location is in the rainforest , with a lovely river running behind our site. The mature trees are lush with moss. Our tent was super comfortable and practical with a broom inside to sweep aside pine needles.

Great family glamping

Amazing location! Great little glamping experience along the river, with the small cabin. Our two kids slept so well on the futon pull out. The only cooking we did was heating water for coffee and ramen so it was simple. Enjoyed the proximity to different parts of the national park. We had a comfy 3 nights!

What a cool place! I really enjoyed our stay and it was so cool to stay in a canvas tent. Even though it rained hard I was perfectly comfortable. The bed was comfy and everything stayed dry! Will definitely go back.

Overall had a fun stay! Venue was gorgeous with the river so close by. Downsides: the floor was not swept very well and we felt like the sheets had not been cleaned between stays. Just don’t think the amenities added up to the price, maybe worth it for less money.

Beautiful site but not well kept

The site itself is beautiful. Its practically right on the river and you can hear it from your tent. Even saw a couple deer walking through. The campground however needs a lot of improvement. The toilets were absolutely disgusting. There was no toilet paper the entire weekend. They do have a shower but the propane tanks were empty so i got to take an ice cold shower. The tent wasn’t very clean upon arrival. There were pine needles all over the floor, although they did provide a broom and dust pan. There is absolutely no cell service or wifi which is expected but that also means no way of contacting the hosts for any assistance. I wish i could say that i would love to return or recommend this campground because the location is great but there would have to be a lot of improvements and better maintenance of the bathrooms. Overall i would give it a 3 star out of 5 rating.

Perfect Base for Exploring Olympic

We had a wonderful stay at the Riverside Cabin and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting. The campground has so much to offer, including clean showers, a large Blackstone camp stove, welcoming community gathering areas, and both private and shared fire pits. The cabin itself was spotless, cozy, and well-stocked with plenty of extra blankets and sheets. The heater kept us warm and comfortable throughout the night. The location is perfect for exploring the Olympic Peninsula. It’s centrally located for visits to Lake Crescent, the Hoh Rain Forest, La Push, and Rialto Beach. There’s also a convenient store just two minutes away if you need groceries, ice, or any last-minute camping essentials. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. Thank you for such a memorable stay—we’ll definitely be back!

It was a nice little spot, but it could use a bit more love. A composting toilet could be a lot more pleasant than Porta potties, the river access area would be great with some attention, and our bedding was sprayed heavily with some kind of really bad fragrance. On the other hand, my son loved the buoy swing, the campfire area was sweet, and we loved visits from the friendly dog. So, mixed.

Tent was nice , however the ports John’s were absolutely disgusting and had no toilet paper . The camp site stunk due to this . I have no problem brining my own toilet paper but that was not communicated. Also when we tried to drive in one day there was a young girl standing in the driveway and would not move until we rolled down the window and asked her to move. This seemed to be a young girl that lived in a house close by.

My kids loved this place, but my wife wasn't thrilled. The price for two people at $70/night, felt about right as this was somewhere between camping and glamping. The price for 4 at $140 a night felt too much. The main reason being that the linens weren't very clean. The pillows were throw pillows and it didn't seem like the cases were washed and the bed covers didn't seem like they had been washed either. The sheets seemed like they had been washed, but there a few bits of stuff from outside that found there way into the sheets and needed to be brushed off. One of the beds was an old mattress on a frame and squeaked horribly everytime I moved. If you bring your own linens or sleeping bags and sleep on those, this place isn't bad, but that's why I don't feel the price is justified and I say it's between camping and glamping.

Comfortable night of sleeping under the stars. Clean porta pottys, clear instructions, and adequate bedding. Zipper on site 6 was broken when we arrived. Had trouble opening/closing our tent.
