The waterfront sites were very nice and had great views of the river. Kelsey was very welcoming and helped us pick a site. Definitely worth getting there during the work week (Thursday for example) to get a river front site. At the time we camped there was construction across the river and they do work on Saturdays.

Return campers here. We first found Kelce and his camp a couple years ago and have been back again this summer. The spots are large, the river access and peace is unmatched, and Kelce is available to support as needed. Loved showing our family this site and hope to be back in the future.

Signage to site, and how to identify availability of campsites was very clear and appropriated. Such a lovely spot! We were the only ones there this time, but the sites are set up such that if there were others it would still be pleasant. Kelsey came to check on us in the evening, and we enjoyed our chat with him. It is very apparent that he cares about folks having a good stay, and puts a lot of effort into taking care of the place. We sleep in the back of our truck, so level ground is best. It was super easy to park in an ideal way to both sleep and have a nice campsite. We were hardly done setting up camp and already plotting how to return. We came to go to the ocean (easy to do) and would come back just to stay here for a couple days.

Unfortunately, our experience was very different from the positive reviews, and we would not return.
The listing says sites are first come, first served, but it wasn’t clear how dramatically they differ. The riverfront sites were taken, and we were given a site on dried mud between trees, with no river view and another campsite about 10 steps away. We asked to move to an empty grassy site, but the host said he was saving it in case an RV arrived, despite having no reservation for it.
The riverfront was also filled with construction equipment, excavators and sandbags, none of which was disclosed. Construction started at 7 a.m. Saturday.
The biggest issue was the nighttime atmosphere. Groups played loud music while we were putting our kids to bed. On our final night, we woke around 2 a.m. to a loud party and realized the host himself was participating. He appeared very intoxicated, was loudly using profanity, telling inappropriate stories and talking about owning a gun. The party continued until 3:30 a.m. With our children sleeping in tents nearby, we genuinely felt unsafe.
We paid over $300 for two nights, making this by far the most expensive campground we’ve stayed at. Given the site, construction, noise and especially the host’s behavior, the price was shocking. I would not recommend this campground.

Awesome spot up near the river. Definitely intend to be back for longer!
Despite reviews being a couple years old, this place is just as beautiful as the photos portray. Kelsey was incredibly kind, and even gave some fishing tips while he greeted us. we wish we could have enjoyed the full two days, but in classic Olympic fashion we were unfortunately rained out on day 2, which made the spot pretty muddy. (which was our loss and obviously no fault of Kelsey) also, as a heads up. If you have a weather Garuntee on your booking, and you need to make any adjustments to said booking, Hipcamp will automatically remove your weather Garuntee and it cannot be re instated within a certain period of arriving. This unfortunately caused us to lose out on 289 dollars in total for only 1 night of camping, and 6 hours of driving which was a huge bummer.
None the less, we enjoyed our stay and even saw an owl flying around our camp in the later hours 🖤

Kelsey’s land was awesome. We loved seeing the river and the private area.
We had the whole place to ourselves most of our 3 night stay! Kelsey came by and we got some firewood from him to make a campfire. We were able to spread out with our group which was great, and were able to use an extra table from another campsite so we had a better kitchen setup.
Peaceful, beautiful campsite, right along the river centrally located by lots of great attractions. Kelsey the host was very welcoming and has setup excellent camp-spots with great spacing. Sitting Riverside in the evening was a highlight for sure and made it worth every penny!
Great location, I’d call this a ‘ boutique’ campground given how small, well maintained and peaceful it is. Kelsey is nice dude, fun to chat with and he even shared tips on where to fish. 10/10 would go again.
Quaint spot right on the river. Everything you need for primitive camping. Friendly host, knowledgeable about fishing.

Kelsey is a great host with a beautiful spot very close to Rialto Beach. The directions were very clear and he was super accommodating. He suggested I pick a zone closest to the water which didn’t disappoint when the herd of elk came to drink, and then cross the river at 8:30 one night. It was a memorable hip camp experience for sure!

Great spot right along the river with big camping spots. Bring a fishing pole or a few chairs to sit along the bank. Very pretty sunset
Great campground, friendly host and beautiful spot!
Kelsey is a great camp host with lots of information to share and is genuinely happy to have you stay on his land. He shared strategies and fishing lures to the kids to help them catch fish. If you need firewood, an entire bucketload was $40, which lasted us days. Highly recommend!

Peaceful river side campground. Nicely shaded, friendly host. Everything was easy to find with good sized sites. Choices for river side or meadow camping. All the sites had newer picnic tables and decent fire pits. Outhouse was very clean and fresh smelling. Killer location 5
Minutes from Rialto beach. Higher price site though (hoping this is to help add sites into his acreage) if you are bringing a dog especially one who’s a bit anxious be aware the host makes his rounds with his own pup off leash which made our pup a bit nervous.
Was a great experience overall. We will be back. Definitely a nice change from the busy campgrounds.

We had a great time at Shangri-la! The views were beautiful, we took our chairs down and sat by the river. The potty was also very clean! Would definitely camp here again.
Kelsey is an excellent camp host! This is our second time here and we had a wonderful 5 days of camping. The land is clean and well maintained, and we couldn’t ask for a better host. Kelsey is very friendly and hospitable, and he has vast knowledge of the local activities and wildlife. He’s generous with tips and insights for those looking to fish or explore. We are very grateful to get the chance to stay here, and will be coming back yearly!

Wonderful campsite nestled in the grove at the river front, Kelsey was a hands on host with the goal of connecting with campers and ensuring an easy experience.
A very laid-back campground near Rialto Beach & La Push, the host/owner Kelsey was welcoming and warm.
We visited in early August and we could have brought fishing gear and made the most of the spot with a day of fishing in the river- the water was low but there is so much life in and around the river. Elk and eagles are a common sight.
Be careful & slow driving into the campground- there are dogs, cars, & people running around, and the dirt road is a bit bumpy.
This was the most we've paid for a campground outside of a music festival, but it was much more private/quiet compared to the Mora campground, where we stayed the night after.
Amazing spot. Kelsey found us a spot to park our car and teardrop trailer with plenty of room and distance from other campers. So convenient to Second Beach and Rialto. We plan to stay again!

Truly exceptional camp ground right on the Quiluete River. Kelsey was an awesome host and it was a pleasure getting to know him. He had a lot to offer about places to go and things to do and I hope to be back soon to go fishing with him! He was very accommodating in reserving three campsites for our group so we could all be next to each other, which isn't always the case as the sites are usually first come, first served.

We camped in our camper van and had friends in tents. Beautiful property! Host is so friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and he came over a couple times to check in on us and wish a happy birthday. The river is so peaceful and we saw wildlife. We'll be coming back!
We loved this place except the fact there are no showers. With 3 girls in my clan it was hard to come from the beach and not have a way to get sand and salt out of hair. We decided to leave a day early. Special place :)

Kelsey was super friendly and helpful upon arrival. The campsite was clean, and spacious. Also, it's worth noting the portapotty was SUPER clean. I've stayed in many campground bathroom far worse than this one. 10 out of 10, would totally stay here again.
