Rialto Retreat

My son and I stayed two nights at Rialto Retreat. The land is beautiful, the bathroom and shower was clean, water was available and the grass was mowed. It was very close to Forks and the beach. We enjoyed it very much and would stay there again if we went back to the OP to camp.

This was my first stay at a HipCamp. The host was really nice and the area beautiful for tent camping. A few inconveniences were the port-a-potty was removed, and the only other restroom was a bit of a walk from the tent area. There were 2 and both had a very steep step to get into the restroom. The potable water was a long distance from the tent area and could be closer. There was a large loose dog quite friendly who at my dogs food and left.

The Good: Clean bathrooms and a convenient setup if you need a quick overnight stop. Really convenient to Olympic NPS/Cape Flattery. This isn’t a site you spend all day at — it’s a spoke that you travel to other places from. Could see the Milky Way. The Bad: Completely exposed layout with zero privacy, bright headlights from incoming and moving campers shining directly into the site at night. There were some spots underneath the tree area that had more privacy, but this site is a first come first served, so they were all taken by the time we arrived (three hours after check in). We did have a few off leash dogs come into our spot, but luckily we could put our dog away in his car kennel once we noticed. The Verdict: Skip it if you value privacy, restful sleep, or have a reactive dog. Only workable if you have a vehicle crate handy and strictly need a place with clean plumbing.

I loved my stay! We arrived 9PM, car camped, and left next day. The stars were extremely visible, very little light pollution, and the shower/bathroom were lit up and easy to find in the dark. We had been car camping for a few days for Labor Day weekend and needed a place to clean up but didn’t want to commit to a full hotel so this was a great middle ground with wonderful amenities and vibe!

We loved our stay at Joe’s land! This was our first time camping so we are total newbies! I will say we were a bit confused with which campsite was ours but we messaged Joe and he got back to us super quick. We were notified the campsites were first come first serve which was nice. The bathroom and hot shower was AMAZING. Having potable water onsite was great too, definitely recommend taking a large container to fill and have at your campsite. We saw lots of yellow slugs, especially at night time, so watch your step! And saw the cutest chipmunks running around as well. This was definitely the perfect stay for our first camping trip to enjoy Forks and La Push. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and would 100% stay here again!

Very clean showers and flush toilets. Tons on firewood available at a fair price! Campsite we were in was #1 and it was large and level. Would be great for a group camp. Nice large level grassy area for frisbee.

I highly recommend Joe's beautiful property to anyone who is seeking tranquility, beauty and easy access to the Pacific Coast. Joe's property is well maintained. Listing is accurate. for all amenities. Joe is timely and transparent with communication. Thank you for a lovely stay! We'll be back

This was a great campsite. Very clean and hot showers that had hygiene products for guests. Bathrooms were well kept, and the campsite was perfect for pitching a tent. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a campsite near forks!

Great Place, quite and super green!

We loved this camp site. We camped with a camper van but used a dry site (they also have hook ups - we didn't need them). We were basically alone with our dogs. It was super quiet. The bathroom was very clean. The grass was well kept and super green. Our site was almost in a forest.

With the fire ring, cheap wood, flushing toilets and showers, this was a great place to camp! There is little to no cell service which made getting to and from the property difficult but we figured it out - had to go old school and use a map! Not sure how easy it would be to communicate with the hosts without service.

Campsite is conveniently located, safe, and spacious. The bathroom and shower were super nice and very clean. Everything you would need to camp without having to deal with the NPS reservation system.

ODT friendly-great for all trips!

The tents spaces were huge, lovely rural/working farm setting and very quiet. We were bike camping the ODT and this was a great first night after our shuttle to La Push. Bonus-the road it’s on cuts a ton of miles off the highway and there’s access to additional gravel miles to avoid the highway-minimized the miles on the highway which is a huge plus. The son-in-law gave us the backroad tip and he RV campers were nice and helpful as well. It’s a gem.

The overall situation was great. The spaces are spacious, grassy, clean and well kept. Bathrooms and porta johns were super clean and no smell or flies. The host family was very gracious offering us 3 meals worth of freshly foraged chanterelle mushies.... quiet and dark. 2 complaints and they are small... the sites are first come first serve. Your reserve space not a particular site. We were site 1 and several couples confronted us insinuating we were stealing there reserved spot. Owners says FCFS. Wifi is good but weak in the tent area. Had to walk to the main road to get decent signal. Tmobile doesnt work back there very well.

FAVORITE CAMP ON HIPCAMP

This site was amazing. 20 mins from forks 15mins from La Push. Lots of space to get comfy in. Lots of soft grass for tent campers. Clean bathrooms and showers. Clean porta potties near tents. Trash cans, wood and clean water available. When tent camping know you reserved space not a site. The sites are first come first serve. 2 times other campers came to us at site 1 and said your in our space. We politely informed them of the host information first come first serve. The host were amazing. Host Family was foraging for Chanterelle Mushrooms and gave us enough for 3 different meals. Absolutely delicious. This has been my favorite camp on hipcamp in the 2 yrs I've been using it for rv sites and tent sites. This review is as a tent camper. My only request from the host would be a wifi booster. Signal was shaky by the tents. Even with that, still more than worth it! Did I say it was quiet and Absolutely dark outside. Cute banana slugs around.

Gorgeous campground with fire pits, picnic tables and clean bathrooms. We chose a beautiful shaded spot that had plenty of space. The host was available to answer questions upon arrival. Peaceful weekend and a great first experience with Hipcamp. Would definitely return.

Beautifully maintained and managed campsite with running water, flushing toilets that are clean filtered well water and many options for tents, small cabins or RV hook ups. Near Mora Campground and Rialto Beach. We stayed in a tent, which was wonderful and well away from RVs. highly recommend.

It was nice and quiet. The owners are very friendly. A lot of space for our toddler to run around. It was great to be so close to the beach! Toilet and shower were clean. We'll probably be back.

We loved tent camping at Joe’s Rialto Retreat! There was plenty of room at every campsite, communal kitchens, clean restrooms and shower facility. There were hand carved sculptures throughout the camp that were delightful. It was hands down the nicest hipcamp we’ve ever stayed at. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Gorgeous gem with great amenities!

Such a cool location! The grass was luscious, the bathrooms exceeded my expectation, and the hot shower for a cold morning was perfection! 💙 firewood was available onsite, and trash cans were all over. My boys had a wonderful time at the campfire and kicking a soccer ball around in the grass. This was an excellent stay!
