Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

Valhalla Cabin was quaint and perfectly nestled beneath majestic trees—photos truly don’t do it justice! The experience was nothing short of amazing. If we lived closer, we’d be visiting every month! The trails are beautifully maintained, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. We’re so grateful we got to witness and enjoy this stunning piece of land. Highly recommend to anyone seeking peace, beauty, and a connection with nature.

Weekend Trip to Skagit River RV and Camping

The perfect campground for those visiting North Cascades NP! The camp hosts are so nice (and be sure to tell their sweet pup hi too)! The sites are spacious, the bathrooms extremely clean, and the view of the mountains perfect. I would highly recommend!

3 nights at Rosario Camp & RV

Great location, lots to do in the area. Spectacular view from the top, but challenging driving for bigger rigs. Perfect for truck camper or van. Nichelle is a wonderful host, many thanks for the fresh eggs and warm hospitality.

We had an awesome time camping here with our two kids (4 and 2 years old) and our pup! Beautiful property and setting near the river. Host was great. No cell reception so it was a nice unplug. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful property and easy access to site. Roads are gravel and very well maintained. Water is fantastic and convenient location at all the sites. So quiet with lots of beautiful bird songs. Saw baby ducks, great cranes and several other birds at the pond, so peaceful. Looking forward to our next visit.

Weekend Trip to Skagit River RV and Camping

Very well maintained and great location, close to town and close to the national park, everything was neat and clean the bathrooms, the grass was properly mowed and everything was taken care of. The hostess was very nice and made me feel at home. Quiet and peaceful location close to everything you need.

5 nights at Electric Blue Lady's Land'

We loved this camp site it was close to so many amazing hikes and it’s right on the river. This camping spot is in a rainforest and it gets really dark at night. Next time I would bring some twinkle lights to help brighten up our campsite. We stayed in Hera and it’s a beautiful site. We camped early spring and had the place to our selves to explore and all the sites look private and are sizable. The bathroom is as described, it’s an off grid composting toilet. We brought our Solar shower set up and put it on the rocks near the river in full sun and we had a nice warm shower to use after a long day of hiking 10/10 would recommend. Our dogs also loved the stay and ran around living their best lives.

Weekend Trip to Samish Island Bluff

This is our favorite Hipcamp! Perfect place to spend the weekend. The views are beautiful. Great walks. Our setup/ teardown is fast and simple because of the covered deck, comfy chairs, and firepit provided by Kinsey. The nearby town of Edison is a must see. Great place eat and buy locally-made pottery. Three trips and counting to this special slice of PNW heaven.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

We recently became empty nesters and now own a camper van with two large dogs. This was our maiden voyage out and had a wonderful stay at Popcorn Pond. It was nice to show up to a well manicured campsite, two chairs, a table, and a fire pit. Our camper van is 21 feet and fit perfectly into the campsite. The trail map provided was accurate and they are easy trails for beginners. The hike to the chapel is up a gravel road and could be challenging for some people but worth it. It’s adorable! Dave was easy to communicate with and helpful with questions we had. If you’re looking for a nice little experience in the woods I highly recommend checking out the Valhalla Tree Farm.

2 nights at Cascade River Retreat

Stayed two nights! Great property. - We stayed at campsite 6, which was in the “middle” of the drive-up campsites. 1-4 are the least private sites, but closest to the bathroom. 7-9 were definitely more private but further from bathroom/river access. - Wood for sale, $5/bundle, decent cell reception (Verizon) and easy access to the river. -the walk-in sites would be great for a group looking to book a few sites all together!

1 night at Valhalla Tree Farm

A relaxing retreat in the forest, I took my pup here for our first overnight trip together. She loved exploring all the different ecosystems here: pond, stream, outcropping and lots of woods. The cabin is rustic but solid, I loved relaxing on the deck listening to the sound of the stream. Will definitely be returning soon.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

This campsite is one of the hidden gems of Washington. The campsite is large and beautiful with everything you could need while camping already set up for you. The outhouse is new and clean, the firepit well kept, and a permanent table with a well crafted shelter. Outside of the campsite itself the land has many beautiful trails and little hideaway spots to relax at and read or do some birding. This is our second time here and we defined plan to come back soon.

My kid loved this campsite. It is gated and felt safe with wonder around with my kid even it feels like in a mountain. We brought wakietakie for my kid (there is cellphine signal) and made the lil cliff behind the camp site as his castle for the weekend. You can see the poind from there and it wad pretty. The water inside the campsite made thinga a lot easy. We heard owls and some critters. Outhosue was basic but didn't have smell.

Such a wonderful property and host! We felt right at home, enjoyed the peace and quiet and especially loved watching the horses graze. Plenty of grass and space to run around, super clean site and great location. Would definitely come back

Great spot right on the river! Dogs off-leash had a great time. It was awesome to cook up dinner right on the banks of the river. Rhonda is a great host and made us feel very welcome. Just over an hour out of Seattle. Highly recommend!!

Retreat to relax at Chuckanut Hills Farm and Campground, a 20-acre energy-regenerative, off-grid family farm nestled at the foot of Anderson Mountain and surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. 30 minutes south of Bellingham in the Chuckanut Mountains, the only finger of the Cascade Mountain Range that reaches all the way to the Salish Sea. This wooded forest is part of the Puget Lowland Forest Eco-Region. These hills were the native home of the Saquantch people, a Salish coast tribe that fished and hunted the mountains surrounding Lake Whatcom. They lived in long lodge homes and were later pushed out by the invading Lummi Tribe. The Lummi Tribe was later pushed out by Western logging companies, and the entire mountainous region was heavily logged for a number of years. Where our farm now rests was once the second of many logging camps built by Ed English, and he cut our gravel farm road in 1900; a railroad ran through the lower part of our property, taking logs from Lake Whatcom down to the little boom town of Seattle. Our intention while being caretakers of this ancestral land is to restore native plants, raise heirloom produce and heritage animals, and provide a restful nature paradise for people looking to spend time in the outdoors.

All the siteshave nice sand for kids to play in. Close to the north cascades. Minutes from live music, bars and quality mexican restaurant. Rails to trail for bikes and walking. Tward the end of july the river starts to recede opening up more possibilities of having interaction with the river. That being said its crucial you keep an eye out on your kids. We had a guy out here who almost killed his kids multiple times underestimating the current. Watch out!!Kinda going for the peaceful, listen to the river and birds, vibe. Would rather there be no music and if there is then super low and off by 7. Sauna available after 3pm

Marblemount has 3 restaurants open in the summer. The town also a post office. We are 15 minutes from the North Cascades National Park and an entrance to the Pacific Crest Trail. We offer fire wood ($5.00 a bundle), propane fire pits ($10.00 a night, please request ahead via messaging to Heather ) and in season vegetables (price varies depending). Our guests can enjoy being laid back, play music, stay up late, have a couple cocktails/beers and just let the air out of tires, so to speak...Our campground is perfect (we think!) for large groups of people that want a beautiful space for an event, like receptions, family or school reunions, work/corporate campouts, Church events, etc. where you can book the whole campground for yourselves. Or, there are three individual sites you can choose from and book separately on our campground. Two are by the river with wide open view of the river. The third has two entrances, big space, and secluded under a couple of big maple and various other trees without view of the Sauk but has a short and easy path to the river. Drive a little further and you'll find an open area site that also has two entrances. It has a nice wide view of the river with access to the river. It also has an established campfire pit there. The first campsite (the first campsite is the furthest one down) is very secluded as well. Driveway drops down to this site and delivers ample room for a few cars and tents, or rv's. (More on RV's in this listing).. The view of the river is beautiful there and the site features two separate coves on the river. There's a camp trailer down there as well...nothing fancy but we occasionally use it. The electrical needs hooked up and the bathroom hooked up in it. But if you're sick of the rain in your tent and want to get out of the rain, it's there. All three sites are very different from each other. We and the property were introduced to HipCamp last year by another HipCamper. and it's a diamond in the rough. Once you go past our shop and the industrial mechanical views and continue down the driveway it turns into a whole different scene. You'd never know that you're within city limits. Just out in the wild. We're still working on the property to maximize the property's potential. We love this property for its closeness to nature and beautiful scenery! There's lots of diversity in plants, neat rocks all over the place! It's a relaxing getaway and yet close to town and its amenities, including North Mountain Bike Park..

From milking 4 cows to a staggering 12 at once, Bud made the paper for the cutting edge technology! As time marches on, the kids all grown, the little farm retired. Fast forward to 2020, its time to breath new life into this stout and sturdy barn. Cows are not in the current foreseeable future, but flowers are.
