Overall, a good campsite near the National Park with clean bathrooms/showers. We had originally booked site 4, but when checking in the employee told us it was not private at all and offered to move us to site 8 which was great. The employees made up for how unprofessional the actual owners conducted themselves.
On our way in Friday, I tried to call to let them know we were tracking to arrive slightly later than 8pm because of traffic but got no response and left a message. I attempted to also message them through HipCamp but again, no response which was not too surprising because they had not responded to my previous message. I thought it was all fine since we arrived around 8:30 and got checked in no problem, and had a group next to us arrive after we set up camp as well. I then woke up to an incredibly rude and condescending message through HipCamp stating “Confused when booking that you did not understand the hours?”
It was incredibly off putting, and completely unnecessary considering we were already checked in. We asked the campsite next to us if they experienced anything similar but they had not called or messaged to let them know they were arriving after us, and were just as mortified at the messages I received after responding to them that morning. Just beware when booking to not count on any help or support from whoever is running the HipCamp account here.

Really enjoyed our time! Clean, well maintained facilities. Close enough to the park to drive in for day hikes and the lakes. Also had enough space for the kids to run off any extra energy at the end of the day.
It was my 1st time staying here & it went PERFECTLY!
Steven was extremely accomodating, as was Michelle! Appreciated the boosted Wifi signal Steven installed, making the service as good as if I was accessing in my own living room, even at this farthest back site, which is UNBELIEVABLE!!
Michelle was an absolute life-saver, researching online how 2 "soft restart" my Samsung A52, after accidentally dropping it on the concrete, bathroom floor, causing it's face 2 become totally "non-reactive!" Phone wz completely normal after the restart - THANK GOD!
It would've been a disaster if the soft restart hadn't worked, because I'm Canadian, so simply buying another phone nearby & installing my SIM probably wouldn't have worked because I wasn't on a US-based network! I likely would have had to head home, so...

If I have any advice 4 future campers @ this site, I'd recommend patio lights or some other lighting system as this site is the furthest 2 the back & is PITCH DARK once the lights R off!
The only recommendation I have 4 the mgmt @ this park is, install a bit more shelving in the 🚻 stalls, because placing phones, or other items on the slippery, unlevelled TP dispensers causes items 2 fall off! That's exactly how I'd ended up dropping my phone!
I would also love to c them put up a handful of cabins - both rustic & serviced!
Very thankful they'd allowed camp 🔥s + pets! I had two 🐕s & 1 🐈! It was my 🐈's first time camping!
Great time at camp! Hot showers and a laundry room plus WiFi. It was close to town so you could go and grab dinner. Also close to cascade river road so an easy morning to get up and make it in time for parking at cascade pass!

BW-02 Back Woods Tent Site
Great jumping off point if visiting the north cascades. All the amenities you would expect at an RV park are available to campers which is very nice after a grueling day on the trails. If you are looking for a secluded camping experience, this is not your place, but I found everyone around us to be respectful and polite and having a great time. Lots of families having a great time outside which was lovely.

Such an awesome spot to make your base to explore the Cascades. Large enough spots, many shaded, clean bathrooms - with hot showers! Our 5 year and 3 year old loved hanging out. So safe! So many other kids around playing. Minutes from coffee shop, food mart, and a Korean restaurant! Highly recommend it.
This campground is a great location to North Cascades NP. We had primitive site #34. It was nicely landscaped with trees, a picnic table, and fire pit. It was close to bathrooms and a newly installed camp kitchen wash station, which was awesome! Camp host was friendly and always nearby if any issues or needs like ice and wood. While it is on a busy road, it was very quiet at night. It appears they are under new management and making improvements. Didn't use the laundry room, but it looked large. The women's bathroom was clean, shower stalls were good with water pressure and plenty of hot water. Hubby said the men's bathroom was much smaller and he would've liked more shower stalls. Internet was good, but we didn't use it much anyway. Overall, we had a good stay and they're working hard to keep it a nice place to stay. We would stay there again.

Perfect place to relax and explore the North Cascades. Steven and Michele were helpful and friendly host.
Loved camping here at Skagit river the camp host Steven is extremely hard working and eager to help in every way he can he truly loves the campground. My fiancée and I have been camping the past 38 days all over the country and this was one of our favorites.

Clean park, very friendly hosts, and only a few miles to the North Cascades! What’s not to like? I wasn’t traveling with a family, but it seemed very family friendly and safe. There were kids from multiple spots playing in the playground, and the parents were able to communicate without yelling. The spots aren’t huge, but it’s definitely enough space to set up shop. The guests were all pretty respectful, so space wasn’t an issue for us at all. Showers available, with plenty of privacy, and clean. It was a good spot for a couple of nights!

What a great spot, just across the road from the Skagit River. Very relaxing and beautiful! They were super nice to us and both the camp host and maintenance guy helped us get to a spot. We had some issues early on with getting to the campground, but after a three day delay we made it. We will certainly stay here again!
I love this camp site!! Happy to be back. It rained a lot one nights and the hostess was super nice and gave us a towel to dry out the inside of our tent and gave us coins to dry our cloths. Would recommend to anyone looking to hike in the North Cascades!

I always love staying here when I come up to the cascades! Everything you need, nothing you don't. Simple and quiet - perfect little camping spot.
We pulled up later in the evening and hosts were very responsive. We chose a spot close to the bathroom and it was perfect for us. Spots were a little close together but people were respectful. Showers were warm and bathrooms were clean. Picnic tables and fire pits for tent camping were great

Great location, also nice to have cell service and wifi while camping. Nice grassy areas for tent camping, although the spots are very close together so there was not a lot of privacy. The campground is close to the road so there will be some road noise but it’s pretty minimal at night when sleeping. Bathrooms were clean and seemed to be maintained at least once a day.
