Nearly every cabin features a small table and chairs and a mini-fridge plus an outdoor fire pit and a picnic table. The cabins’ decks are surrounded by forest. Firewood is available for $30/wheelbarrow on site when available (unless we have a fire ban.) All campsites include the fire pit and picnic table. Everyone has easy access to the spa-like washrooms with coin-operated hot showers and flush toilets. Children 8 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult in the Wash house. There’s a dish washing station in the center of the Wash House where you can refill your water jugs and bottles or wash dishes. Please do not use for washing hair or laundry or tooth brushing. We ask that you conserve water and keep the Wash House clean. If a peaceful experience is what you seek, enjoy the restful, soothing atmosphere of the forest. birkenfoodforest a perpetually unfinished art project in co creation with the beings that dwell and visit here along with sweet Mother Earth. Situated within St'at'imc Nation Traditional Territory. On an alluvial fan supporting a wide spectrum of diversity in the transition zone leaving coastal mountain rain forest, on the edge of semi arid. Bordered on the East by the flowing waters of Lakshmi. To the South, historical Portage road and Mars Xing, my neighbours dovetail log cabin, dated 1859 was once known as Johnnies RoadHouse. To the West the flowing waters of Saraswati and beyond the "Labyrinth" of bluffs known as Juniper Ridge rises to the alpine. To the North primary old growth forest housing a web of game trails connecting Birkenhead lake Provincial Park. This land was horse logged in the 50's, a few elder mother trees remain standing. There are many zones and edges. Including eighty year old Douglas Fir, Cedar, Douglas and Vine Maple,Maturing Cherry orchards, thickets of shrubs and herbaceous ones offering flowers and berries to the many birds and bees.In more recent years there has been much terrace work done offering meadows and forested camp spots, along with continued cultivation of perennial and annual foods and medicinals.

Gabe was a great host with an awesome property. He was quick to respond to our questions and was very flexible throughout our stay. The views were incredible, and the site was easy to pull into. We had no trouble parking our 22-foot trailer, and it was level enough that we didn’t need to do any leveling. The location also made a great home base for exploring the mountains or visiting Pemberton and Whistler.

Mother Tree is the spot to book! It’s on the side of the homestead that’s free of homestead clutter in a large clear meadow with three picnic tables, a fire pit, running water from a hose and primitive but clean and odorless pit toilet. View of the mountains were spectacular, it’s very peaceful until the chickens start crowing at sunrise lol. Doug is very kind and will guide you to Mother Tree which is up a rocky lil road. Had firewood there for a little fee. Dreamy camping:)

This was my second stay at the Puma camp site. I lucked out and I was the only person staying on the campgrounds that week, so it was super quiet and peaceful. I love this place and its proximity to the lakes. Wonderful kayaking. I plan to return again next summer.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Haylmore Creek Farm. The campsite was clean, peaceful, and very well maintained, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. Carmen and the host team were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made us feel right at home and were always available if we needed anything. The amenities were a huge bonus, including running potable water, a flushable toilet, Wi-Fi access, comforts that made the camping experience even more enjoyable. A special shoutout goes to the campground's four legged guardian. She was incredibly friendly, made her rounds checking on campers, and seemed to take her job of patrolling and protecting the campground very seriously. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would happily come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful camping experience.
