Weekend Trip to Strongwater Camping and Cabins

We had the best experience at strongwater cabins. The cabins are cozy and picturesque, with all the essentials. An electric kettle and mini fridge made our experience so much better, since we were able to store our food and enjoy hot drinks on the chilly autumn nights. The cabin comes with an electric fireplace that kept us perfectly toasty as well. Hot showers and clean bathrooms and area to wash our dishes was so convenient! Cheyenne has put her heart into the property and it shows. The hosts are super accommodating! We even got to use their canoe and paddle out on Waugh Lake, and check out their infrared sauna. The cherry on top is the delightful animals that live on the property. Geese, chickens, mini ponies, guinea fowl, and more. We explored the Skookumchuck trail and checked out the amazing whirlpools. Every inch of this forest is beautiful, made better by our time at the cabin. We will absolutely return! A 10/10 experience.

2 nights at Strongwater Camping and Cabins

We LOVED staying at Cheyenne's Treehouse Cabin. We stayed in cabin 2 for 2 nights and it was pure perfection. It truly felt like you were in a treehouse among the trees. The whole property was gorgeous and miraculously upkept. The heater kept the cabin warm at night, towels and loonies for showers were provided. Close to Skookumchuk Narrows and Skookumchuk Bakery and Cafe (the cinnamon buns are a MUST). Would absolutely recommend for a friend.

This was our second time staying at Strongwater, we just love it so much. The treehouse vibe is so cozy and relaxing. Cheyenne is great to communicate with and is always so accommodating. We will be back again for sure.

Weekend Trip to Haylmore Creek Farm

Simple clean but nice site. Bathroom v clean. Has wifi. Friendly dog and chickens provided great entertainment for the kids. We rented the canoe which was a real highlight. Would recommend.

A perfect site for camping! Thanks to Carmen for her welcome, and to her friendly dog Molly for her company at dinner and who garded at night. The chalet for the toilets is very nice and clean. A hot shower would have been nice but we were warned before our arrival that it didn't work. We recommend!

Weekend Trip to Ipsoot Acres - RV and Camper ONLY

We were travelling through Pemberton on our way to Whistler on a busy weekend and all the area campgrounds were full. We looked on Hipcamp and found Gabe’s place was 5 minutes away. Gabe was quick to reply to our message and the directions to get there were easy to follow. We spent a quiet peaceful night. Unfortunately the wild fire smoke in the area blocked the beautiful views we saw in the pictures. We were thankful to have the spot.

It wasn’t anything fancy but it was a nice quiet space to spend the night. The washroom was close by and kept very clean. Spent some time chatting with Carmen, she was a lovely host. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved the camping there! The two hosts were super nice people and we ended up chatting quite a while while they showed us around. The campsite is very nice too: the pit toilet has a water bucket to wash hands and soap. Each campsite has a picknick table. There was only one other guest that night, so it was relatively privat. Would absolutely recommend.

Lovely little lot just a couple of minutes from Pemberton (Backcountry Pizza has delicious pizza) with a breathtaking view in the evening. No service but as a quick stop before/after Whistler it's perfect. Thanks, Gabe, for being responsive and all friendly before and during our visit!

Douglas was a super nice guy and gave great recommendations for things to do in town. He also took the time to give us info about the beautiful property and nice walks to take or spots to hang out. Campsite was beautiful. Highly highly recommend! We’ll be back. Thanks Douglas :)

Weekend Trip to Haylmore Creek Farm

Carmen’s campsite, HayLmore, is amazing. There is a washroom with a flush toilet and sink which is kept clean. Behind the bathroom building is a double sink, for dishes, dish soap included. Can and plastic recycling as well as a place for garbage- please keep garbage to a minimum as it’s a regular size garbage bin and there are other campers. We stayed a ponderosa which to me is the most private spot, and I’ll definitely stay there again. We had a 20’ pick-up with slider camper. Molly (the dog) keeps to herself these days as she’s getting a little older, but she still loves pets. Carmen sells her eggs, tomatoes (or veggies of the season too). Thank you Carmen and Molly☺️🙂😎

This was such a beautiful spot to stay for the night in our campervan. The views were amazing and even with two other campers on the land for the night, it was quiet and we used our van to create more privacy. Pemberton and area are gorgeous, it's well worth the trip!

Choose from our 8 rustic cabins or 8 large campsites to accommodate your next relaxing get-away or refreshing retreat. Bookings are usually a 2-night minimum. 1-night may be available at the discretion of the Hosts. New to our accommodations are the SkookumBus and a Glamping Tent (summer only)! Our hand-built cabins provide a simply magical experience, with warm, comfy beds and bedside table, a fan for summer or a heater for winter. Nearly every cabin features a small table and chairs and a mini-fridge plus an outdoor fire pit and a picnic table. The cabins’ decks are surrounded by forest. Firewood is available for $30/wheelbarrow on site when available (unless we have a fire ban.) All campsites include the fire pit and picnic table. Everyone has easy access to the spa-like washrooms with coin-operated hot showers and flush toilets. Children 8 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult in the Wash house. There’s a dish washing station in the center of the Wash House where you can refill your water jugs and bottles or wash dishes. Please do not use for washing hair or laundry or tooth brushing. We ask that you conserve water and keep the Wash House clean. If a peaceful experience is what you seek, enjoy the restful, soothing atmosphere of the forest. birkenfoodforest a perpetually unfinished art project in co creation with the beings that dwell and visit here along with sweet Mother Earth. Situated within St'at'imc Nation Traditional Territory. On an alluvial fan supporting a wide spectrum of diversity in the transition zone leaving coastal mountain rain forest, on the edge of semi arid. Bordered on the East by the flowing waters of Lakshmi. To the South, historical Portage road and Mars Xing, my neighbours dovetail log cabin, dated 1859 was once known as Johnnies RoadHouse. To the West the flowing waters of Saraswati and beyond the "Labyrinth" of bluffs known as Juniper Ridge rises to the alpine. To the North primary old growth forest housing a web of game trails connecting Birkenhead lake Provincial Park. This land was horse logged in the 50's, a few elder mother trees remain standing. There are many zones and edges. Including eighty year old Douglas Fir, Cedar, Douglas and Vine Maple,Maturing Cherry orchards, thickets of shrubs and herbaceous ones offering flowers and berries to the many birds and bees.In more recent years there has been much terrace work done offering meadows and forested camp spots, along with continued cultivation of perennial and annual foods and medicinals.
