Each standard campsite has a flat gravel surface suitable for tents, smaller RV's, shorter travel trailers, truck campers, rooftop tents, camper vans, and similar. Site 3 has a tent pad, well suited for cyclists or motorbikes.
Small trailers up to 20 feet may be usable, but access may be tight.
Please note, that while there is a campfire ban, camp stoves and propane fire pits are permitted.

We have one private site available for tent and RV/trailer campers. The site is level and grassy and it can accommodate vehicles up to 30ft in length.

Miracle Provincial Park is close by with a picnic area overlooking the water and a series of lovely trails winding through lush forest. You can visit the Oyster River Hatchery, check out the seals and sea lions in Seal Bay Regional Park, do some saltwater fishing for salmon, or even rent a go-cart and race around the Saratoga Speedway, or just watch others do it.

The area is within 2 km of two large sand beaches, a Chinese restaurant, and a Spa. If you are bringing a fur baby, please let us know. It must be on a leash at all times. Please bring your fur baby's favorite blanket or bed to sleep on. We can also provide a comfy hound bed in the room at your request. We kindly ask that you keep your fur baby off the furniture and bed, and that you please not leave your pet unattended.
The Portal has no internet and reception is spotty. There is one outlet for charging, etc. Parking is on-site. Local food options include the "The Fish & Duck Pub" which is just a short walk away. Call Doordash to deliver a meal from one of our local restaurants, such as Sproat Lake Landing, or bring a picnic to enjoy.

Welcome to Goats and Boats, 40 acres of poplar trees planted in straight(ish) rows about 25 years ago. Since then the alders and the evergreens have started to join the party in a big way. The property is a work in progress with a little more space opened up each year. We don't have a lot for amenities, but we have quiet space in nature and animals to visit on your way to/from the outhouse. If you are wanting quiet spaces in nature, that is what we have.
We have some grassy areas for tents and RVs. Pets are welcome, but they need to be leashed in respect for the goats' peace and freedom.
We are on a gravel road about 2 km from the popular Coombs market (with goats on the roof!).
We are a young-ish professional couple with an ever increasing number of very friendly Nigerian dwarf goats, some rabbits, some ducks and two pigs.
The number of animals is subject to vary without notice! So ask us before booking if it's important to you. But there are always goats roaming the yard, rabbits running about daily. Deer show up occasionally.
As you can see in the photos, our property is more wild. It is not a manicured park but we do try to take good care of it and we hope you will too.
There are a lot of activities in the area including go-karts, hiking in provincial parks (Englishman River Falls Parks, Qualicum River Falls Park). Mt Arrowsmith is a challenging hike about 30 minutes drive away. Cathedral Grove is about 20 minutes away. There is lovely swimming and great beaches at Parksville and Qualicum, and much more.

Hi, my name is Dave. My family and I would like to welcome you to Nile Point, a secluded campsite located on 20 acres of privately owned, oceanfront property on Nelson Island, BC. I consider it the closest thing to paradise.
The first you'll need to know about this property is that it's only accessible by boat. This is what makes the campsite so secluded and peaceful.
Transportation to and from the island is included with your stay. The stunning 15 minute boat ride to and from Nile Point is one of the many things that makes this a truly unique experience.
The second thing you'll need to know is that we offer TWO SITES on the property,
a 10x16 TENT PLATFORM and a OCEANFRONT CANVAS TENT WITH ENSUITE (NEW!) with king size bed, in-tent ensuite bathroom and fully stocked outdoor kitchen with potable water, bar fridge and BBQ
We have one canoe, one one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, and some paddleboards. Bring your own water exploring devices if you wish. Our beach is rocky (it ain't a sandy beach!), so bring your good water/rock shoes!
This is a great place to stay and explore if you love the wild. It's off the grid, so if you want to unplug from devices and do nothing but relax or play in the ocean and explore the forest, it's perfect. That said, there is cell reception should you need it and a solar charger if you need to charge your devices.
Egmont offers a pub, a fancy restaurant, and a charming convenience store with wi-fi. We can take you in to town during your stay for an additional charge of 50$ per direction.
We've secured exclusive moorage at a private dock in Egmont. This is where you will park. This private parking includes secure gated access, closer proximity to our accommodations, and stunning waterfront surroundings

We ask that you conserve water and keep the Wash House clean.

Wild Coast has 2 nightly campsites for you to enjoy. Site one is a large, flat open gravel base. And Site 2 is a large, flat grass based site. Please note you must have your own trailer or tent.
We’re a 5-10 minute drive to Rathtrevor beach/Parksville, Englishman River. We are right in the middle of an extensive trail network perfect for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding.
Both sites have plenty of space for RVs and trailers - we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. 30 amp Electrical and potable water hookups are available on both sites. WI-FI onsite as well. There is a flush toilet and sink available in our farm store that is available for guest use. No shower yet, but we are working on it!
The property is private yet close to all amenities. Local favorite Rocking Horse Pub is a quick walk next door and a must-stop for dinner and drinks!
Centrally located on Vancouver Island, it’s a perfect spot to set up the rig and day trip out to Rathtrevor, Little Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs, Port Alberni valley and Nanaimo, or go for an overnighter in Victoria, Tofino, Mount Washington and the Comox Valley.
Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban and we have dry firewood for sale onsite. If you would like firewood send us a message before you arrive.

Weekend Trip to theDoighouse Earthship
The Doighouse is a beautiful site nestled in the trees. Listening to the rain on the cabins metal roof was heavenly. The hosts are incredibly considerate, welcoming and warm. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a nice spot to just get away from life for a few days!

We stayed at Colin's property for one frosty night in January. The site was easy to locate and get situated even in the dark hours of our arrival. Come morning we discovered a beautiful forest and marsh space with many ponds. Wild birds were warming up in the morning sun as we had a quick breakfast before heading out. The space was perfect for a private & safe stay among nature.

Both Susan and Tony were amazing hosts. They were always quick to answer any questions and were incredibly kind! We did end up booking a tour with them of their place which was truly spectacular and original. Me and my parter have already discussed when we will return next. Susan was an excellent host. When we first showed up we were a little lost and she guided us right to our campsite. We were camping on Thanksgiving and she invited us into her home and gave us a slice of homemade pumpkin pie (it was amazing). We left in a hurry but we would definitely go back again.

We had the best experience at strongwater cabins. The cabins are cozy and picturesque, with all the essentials. An electric kettle and mini fridge made our experience so much better, since we were able to store our food and enjoy hot drinks on the chilly autumn nights. The cabin comes with an electric fireplace that kept us perfectly toasty as well. Hot showers and clean bathrooms and area to wash our dishes was so convenient! Cheyenne has put her heart into the property and it shows. The hosts are super accommodating! We even got to use their canoe and paddle out on Waugh Lake, and check out their infrared sauna. The cherry on top is the delightful animals that live on the property. Geese, chickens, mini ponies, guinea fowl, and more. We explored the Skookumchuck trail and checked out the amazing whirlpools. Every inch of this forest is beautiful, made better by our time at the cabin. We will absolutely return! A 10/10 experience.

About
Located on the outskirts of Courtenay, the community-run Kitty Coleman Provincial Park has gorgeous views of the Salish Sea and mainland mountains, plus opportunities for hiking and fishing. Popular with beachgoers, the small park also has a productive salmon stream and a long rocky beach where campers can spot seals, sea lions, and whales from shore. Camping is available in a group site and in 65 drive-in sites that offer basic amenities including pit toilets and running water. Kitty Coleman Provincial Park lies within the territory of the K'ómoks First Nation.
Tips for snagging a campsite
- Because it’s a community-run, Class C provincial park, Kitty Coleman doesn’t use the regular BC Parks reservation system. You can call the caretaker to check how many sites are currently available. They can hold a site for same-day arrival.
- Phone reservations are only taken for the group sites.
- The maximum length of stay at Kitty Coleman is 10 days.
When to go
Kitty Coleman Provincial Park is open for camping from April 16 through September 30. For the warmest weather, think about booking in July or August (though this will also be the busiest time in the park).
Know before you go
- The nearby communities of Courtenay and Comox offer a variety of museums, shops, and restaurants.
- Additional camping is available at nearby Miracle Beach Provincial Park.
