Went at the end of the season and there was nobody else there, it was very peaceful and the lake is beautiful. Hosts were super accommodating and friendly, will definitely book here again!

Weekend Trip to Deep Mountain Sea Cabin

Great spot in a quiet, peaceful location with beautiful views to wake up to. We planned to do more but ended up mostly chilling around the cabin (highly recommend the outside daybed!) and walking my dog to the river. Ren was really accommodating for my reactive dog, left the lights on for us as we were arriving late and provided some yummy home grown vegetables. Would love to stay again!

Weekend Trip to Sunset Knoll Sites on Big Bar Lake

I love the place , my family enjoyed our stay for 2 nights. The site was very spacious for a big family. Ms. Katie was very accommodating and response quickly to my inquiries. The only thing disappoints us was our fellow campers near the lake, they were not respectful about quiet time they were shouting and singing loud with their loud music until 2am for 2nights. They even had bonfire even if there is a FIRE-BAN during the 2nd night. But over all we enjoyed our stay and will come back again.

We had such an amazing time at Anderson Lake! The Yurt was cozy and comfortable, the outdoor kitchen made cooking so easy and scenic, and the property was absolutely breathtaking! It is totally worth the drive and such a cool way to experience the area! Absolutely book the sauna, and bring your paddle boards if you can! Can’t wait to come back next year! :)

Amazing location and beautiful views! I really loved the covered area since I was tenting it provided great shade during the heat wave. Coming from out of province it was a bonus they offer firewood! Due to the heat wave didn't need alot but the crate was enough for a little fire each night I was there. Hosts were very help! Had a minor issue with a neighbour and their dog being loose and roaming my site. Where my dog is reactive I wanted to avoid any issues and she responded immediately and contact the neighbours which I was very greatful for!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We absolutely loved our stay at Wendego Lodge! The sauna is a must-try — it made swimming so much more enjoyable, especially since the lodge is higher up and evenings can get chilly. (Tip: bring some warm clothes for the night!) The whole experience was so close to nature, peaceful and refreshing. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and we have to say — their sourdough bread is delicious, a real treat! We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

The two RVs also available for rent on the site.

It's a nice spot to stay with friendly hosts and wide open views of the surrounding hills. You'll be in a grassy fenced in area with no amenities too far away. NOTE: Double check the destination if tapping directly from the Hipcamp app to Google Maps because the first place it sent us was down the wrong road. We had to type in the actual address, then we got there okay.

We are long time campers but Grandview Acres was our first time as "hipcampers" and it was great. The property was pretty, close to Kamloops, but far enough to be very quiet. The directions were perfect, good fast response and we had a nice conversation with Rick and Ada who were very friendly. They also graciously accommodated our request to shut off the string of solar lights along the fence where we pitched our tent so we could see stars and not have lights shining on us all night. There is a metal firepit so even though there was a burn ban other campers had a camp fire. We were visited by a young buck in the morning, on the other side of the fence. As other reviewers mentioned, having only one washroom was a slight problem. Another minor problem was the water spigot which was a little hard to turn and sprayed you if you stood in front of it. We will happily stay there again if we return to the area.

This was a great one-night stop for us in the middle of a longer trip. It’s an open field, so no privacy, but the toilet and sink were great and the views are lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

All year long fish for natural rainbow trout and Kokanee. This is a rustic 100% off-grid experience! There is no electricity in the cabins and cold running water in the summer. SLEEPING: The cabin has two bedrooms separated by curtains from the living space and features: One queenTwo single bunksOne double futon HEATING/COOKING:There is a wood stove for heat and cooking and wood is supplied and cold running water in the summer months. A wood burning BBQ is available for use and a huge upright smoker for your fish haul (bring your own propane cylinder). BATHROOMS: There are no bathrooms in the cabin. Flush toilets and hot showers are available in the wash house steps away in the summer and in the lodge in the other months. ELECTRICITY: The cabins have no electricity. Please bring your own lanterns and flashlights. WATER FUN: The cabin is RIGHT ON THE WATER and in the summer we have dock for jumping off of or launching a boat. 10 acres of untouched beauty! Extremely private with 100’s of acres of crown land on one side & a neighbour with 10 acres on the other. The lake is Caribbean blueish green & clear as glass. There are miles of trails to hike, 4x4, wild forage, or hunt in season. There are a couple other lakes nearby as well as the Fraser River & the Big Bar Ferry. Highly recommend!! One of our favourites is the Jesmond Fire Lookout. It requires a 4x4 vehicle or physical ability to complete a couple hour hike! We are a bit biased but our place is a very special one of a kind spot!

A very remote, tranquil log cabin fishing camp hand-built in the 1960's. Akehurst Lake Wilderness Resort is only accessible by ATV (snowmobile in winter) or by foot (a 9-minute walk from the parking lot). There is no public access to the lake so it is wonderfully private & peaceful. We offer 5 cabins in total with some areas suitable for tents. There is a day-lodge with a kitchen and eating area for guest's use, kayaks, row boats, and a paddle board free for use as well as a wood-fired sauna! The lake is excellent for swimming. It is feet-friendly, shallow, and has no sudden drop-offs. And if you like to hike, fish or BOTH then this is the place for you. There are many nearby lakes that are a short drive/ride and hike away! Akehurst Lake does not have cell service or wifi. Lights are made possible by a gas generator in the evening. There is only cold running water in the day-lodge sink which is seasonal and depends on if the creek is running. Guests should be comfortable being in the woods and aware that if no one else is there, they will need to light the stove and fridge and operate the generator if needed. **Packing List** - Bedding (sheets & blankets or sleeping bag. Pillow covers) - Extra pillows (we provide 2 per cabin. Ask if more are available before arrival) - Towel/face cloth - Dish cloth & Dish towels - Paper towel/napkins - Toilet rolls - Lighter for fires (if applicable). We live in a little off-grid cabin deep in the Yalakom Valley in a small community of rustic-living and friendly folks. Please note that this property is located 40 km outside of Lillooet. Part of the road is a dirt road and a bit bumpy, best for cars that don't mind roughing it a little bit. You also lose service 5 minutes outside of Lillooet. The property is surrounded by private lots. You can explore ours down to the river or you can drive to other locations like the Horsehoe (a great swim spot), Carpenter Lake (great for swimming, too), Lac La Mere (good for fishing), Carol Lake, and much more. This is a somewhat rustic and rugged spot- if you are looking for fancy glamping this is not the space for you! Vancouverites, you've been warned!
