Orren Creek Ranch Campground – A Hidden Gem in the Southern Cariboo Relax and breathe in the fresh mountain air at this peaceful, private campground nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s wilderness. Perched on a forested plateau, Orren Creek Ranch offers a tranquil escape for nature lovers, soul seekers, and outdoor adventurers alike. Enjoy paddling the calm waters of our private lake—ideal for canoeing, kayaking, or simply drifting in stillness while observing beavers, waterfowl, and a rich variety of birds. Wake up to birdsong and watch for deer, moose, and soaring eagles that frequent the area. While our lake is best suited for non-motorized watercraft, we’re also located along the famous “Fishing Highway”, placing you just minutes away from world-class fishing and stunning swimming lakes.

While there’s no direct water access from the site due to natural marshland, guests can enjoy views of the lake and easy access to a shared dock near the main house for launching canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards. The site includes ample room for parking an RV, trailer, or vehicle plus tent and is easily accessible, with a rustic outhouse conveniently located just steps away.

Campsite #1: -Large Lakeview Campsite for tenting, or small pop-up camper trailer, with ample room to park 2 vehicles. -Private: This site is close to the lake on a small hill, at the end of a roadway, with a fair distance from other campsites and surrounded by trees. -small covered pole barn area on campsite to utilize. -nature toilet near by -just steps to the lake -campfire pit (*Any provincial fireban restrictions will be posted in property info.) *Note: Road access to this site is by standard vehicles and short trailers only, as the road to site location is narrow in places with minimal room to turn, so not suitable for longer trailers, RVs, etc.

A spacious, mostly open area site just steps from the lakeside pathway, with a partial view of the lake. This easily accessible site is large enough for a truck and trailer or RV. Just a steps to the shared outhouse, and includes a private fire pit (when permitted). A great spot for those who enjoy open skies and easy access to lakeside walks. Guests can enjoy easy access to a shared dock at the main house for launching canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards.

Campsite #12: The Vista North The Setting: The Vista North offers a spacious, open-sky experience situated directly across the access pathway from Site #10. This site is designed for ease and flexibility, making it an effortless “Back-in” or “Pull-in” choice for larger RVs, trailers, or expansive tent setups. The Atmosphere: Adaptive & Open Known for its bright and airy environment, Site #12 is just steps from the lakeside trail. It is uniquely positioned to be booked alongside Site #10. When reserved together, these two “Vistas” create a premier communal hub for friends or families traveling in tandem, offering a shared sense of place while maintaining individual space. The Connection: Enjoy the “Soul Signal” of the lake from your front door. A short walk leads you directly to the lakeside pathway and the shared dock at the main house, where you can launch your kayaks or paddleboards to explore the shoreline. Important Fire Policy: To maintain the open flexibility of the site, Site #12 does not include a permanent wood-burning fire pit. For Individual Campers: We recommend bringing a portable propane fire pit for a clean, modern evening glow. For Group Bookings: If booked in conjunction with Site #10, guests are welcome to utilize the private fire pit at Site #10 as their communal gathering point (subject to weather and provincial regulations).

Campsite #11 – Lakeside Lookout

Loved camping at Sharon’s land , it was so beautiful and just perfect to relax and enjoy. We loved going in the lake and on the canoe. Sharon was also super nice and helpful. We will be back !

We loved our stay at Sharon’s place. It was so beautiful, peaceful and just amazing . The little lake and the privacy. Also , Sharon is so nice and is always there to help. We hope to be back soon!

Site 11 - Forest Campsite

I loved this piece of land. We had the place all to ourselves so it was very quiet. We could see all the stars at night and heard howling coyotes, it was great. Only thing if mention is to bring a table because there's absolutely no tables out there. Other than that, the place was spacious and peaceful. It was the perfect getaway

Site 7 - Forest Campsite

Our entire family loved camping on Sharon's land. There's walking trails for exploring the area, tons of wildlife to see. The property has its own lake for canoeing on. Sharon has 2 canoes she rents out for taking out on the lake. She was incredibly helpful with directions and fun tips on things to do while we were in the area. The stars lit up the night sky. We had a wonderful time, and will definitely be back!

The place is heaven on earth. So peaceful. You become one with nature. The owner is lovely, very friendly. It was my mom’s BDay and she made it very special. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful farm and the best host. It was a thunderstorm when I arrived and she came out in the rain to show me my spot, which she switched to one that had a cover so that I would not get wet, so considerate!

Amazing place and Sharon is a fabulous host. We had champagne and strawberries delivered right to our campsite, and planning was easy. We loved it so much!!!!

A lovely experience

Forest Campsite

After trundling down a forest road we arrived at Orren Creek Ranch, where our host, Sharon, met us at the gate. After exchanging pleasantries she directed us to our site. What a site it was. Nestled on the edge of a small clearing, a stones throw from the property lake our site gave gorgeous views and deep woods solitude. Setting up our tent on level ground, we could hear geese, loons, and the occasional beaver tail slapping the the water a scant few yards away. Night fell slowly and as the morning sun rose a perfect mirror image spread across the lake it seemed as though we were living in a landscape painting. Then the time came to depart, our gracious hosts bid us farewell and good luck. I wish I had more time to stay and experience this truly special place.
