Cabin available for those that want to sleep in a cozy bed and have a warm fire :) Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know! Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. Peachland is within easy reach of over 200 estate wineries and microbreweries.

Most of our rescued farm animals roam the property freely and absolutely love human visitors. Families with children will also enjoy the natural play areas the farm offers including a shallow creek and visits with our chickens and ducks. Your dogs or other small pets are permitted in the camping areas only as our herd is terrified of dogs. There is another large area (about 5 acres) where well-behaved dogs can run off leash. We have one RV site with septic, water and 50 Amp power and can fit a 40 foot unit and 2 totally private tent sites. There is a full washroom with tub/shower, toilet and wifi access in our old farmhouse which is complimentary during your stay. Should you find that your desired dates are already booked, please reach out to us as we may have a back up spot available. Please keep in mind we are an organic farm homestead that offers an agritourism experience. We are not a manicured campground :) Your camping fees go directly to support our aging farm animals and horses.

There are washrooms and showers at our shop just a little hike from the sites. The water is well water and quite soft, but it is potable. The skinny taps in the washrooms do have filtered water There is potable water for washing dishes ( warm and cold) at the taps on the outside of the shop - near the entrance door for the washrooms. We live on the property as well, up on the hill. We want everyone to have a wonderful experience but do also want you to have your privacy. We venture down to the sites periodically to check but do try to stay out of the way. We look forward to hosting you!

We live on the property as well, up on the hill. We want everyone to have a wonderful experience but do also want you to have your privacy. The cabin was cute and cozy, with a warm indoor stove to keep the place warm. Lots of space with one mains bed and two small beds up top. We were there in October and we had the area to ourselves which was great, but it seemed the camping spot and Teepee were quite close to the cabin.

The views were gorgeous, I even saw the stars :). The day I was leaving my car wouldn’t start and Jan was so generous to search all over for his jumper cables even while he was in the middle of moving.. so kind!!! Will definitely go back :).

Better than advertise. The Kevin was new and clean. The wood stove kept us very warm and toasty. The firepit was well stocked with cedar cut offs . Hot pool was extremely relaxing and had a great vibe. We added a canoe to our trip and fished Gardom Lake. Excellent experience, we'll be back !

Come camp on a 40-acre parcel backing onto crown land mountains and wake up in front of 10 acres of vineyard and a view of Okanagan Lake! There is a small cabin and two camp sites to choose from. Site 1 is best suited for tents and small campervans, less than 18' or so (though people with small trailers like tear drop campers have been fine). Site 2 has a much larger flat area that can hold RVs up to 30'. Cabin available for those that want to sleep in a cozy bed and have a warm fire :) Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know! Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. The combined population of Kelowna and Penticton was a mere 7,000, and the First World War was just wrapping up. A bustling new sawmill on the shore of Chute Lake had a crew of hardworking loggers thinking it was time to build themselves a place to sleep and eat. Raw materials certainly wouldn’t be an issue, located in the middle of a forest. The crews worked all day turning trees into logs. Soon enough those logs were being hauled from the mill and up a gentle slope to the proposed location of the new bunkhouse. A few years later, the Kettle Valley Railway would arrive, and the mill and freshly built bunkhouse would take on additional roles. It served as a water stop for the steam engines that pulled the passing trains. Enterprising mill workers would even sell some of the large fish they pulled from the lake to the dining carts. These were the formative years Chute Lake Lodge. Cabins have been added and in the 1980s, the central lodge building nearly doubled in size. The restaurant was added with lodge rooms above. The railway that ran directly in front was converted into one of the best cycling paths in the province.

The property is full of many varieties of native plants, flowers and trees. Above the trees you can see the peaks of Little White. We also get wild animals that come to visit every now and then; bear, cougar, lynx, coyote, deer and owl to name a few. There is a communal firepit and kitchen area, central between our current campsite and other future campsites. You can enjoy hiking on the High Rim Trail nearby or maybe an off road adventure. James Lake is only 11 kms away for some summer kayaking or paddle boarding and Big White is only 1/2 hour away hosting all the summer and winter fun!. Lots of beautiful areas to explore nearby. Our location tends to be 6°-10° cooler than in Kelowna, which is a welcome treat on those warm summer days. There is also, almost always a breeze. Nestled in the woods, our site provides a shady escape from the 30-40 degrees Celcius summer Okanagan heat. Cross the bridge into your own private Oasis. Trees are shelter and homes to various birds. Pitch your tent in an open space at the base of the mountain. Relax on the deck of our Cottage and take in the fresh air whilst listening to the song birds. Located off Highway 6, a 10 minute drive to colourful Kalamalka Lake which boasts of sandy beaches and gorgeous hikes, and a 6 minute drive to beautiful Lavington Park with a playground, off leash dog park and free public swimming pool access during July and August. Walk down the path to your own private creek access, bring a book and relax in a chair by the water and take a dip in the refreshing creek. Note: This site is not accessible by car. You will need to park in front of the bridge, wagons are provided. If lots of rain is forecasted please bring tarps, there are plenty of trees nearby to devote too. There is a powered covered cooking/eating area. You may use the bbq and gas burners at no charge. Drinking and potable water is provided. This site uses a composting toilet with bags that will need to be removed after use and disposed in the appropriate location.

Okanagan Lake (Highway 97)

Waterfront campgrounds have been replaced by luxury hotels, but there are still a few places where you can roll up and camp on the shores of one of the region’s six lakes. you can often find a remote waterfront campsite by renting a motorboat or even a canoe early in the day.

West Side of Okanagan Lake

Highway 97 is the valley’s main thoroughfare, but the narrow, twisty, and scenic Westside (or Fintry) Road leads to some of the region’s most secluded and picturesque campgrounds.

Area Fishing Lakes

Dozens of small fishing lakes dot the forested Okanagan Highlands to the north and south of Kelowna. These private campgrounds and BC Forest Service sites are often located on gravel backroads—campers need to be completely self-sufficient. 

When to go

July and August are the ‘hot months,’ both in terms of temperature and popularity. In late spring, the valley’s orchards are a riot of color thanks to blooming cherry and apple trees. Fall is harvest time, specifically for the hundreds of wineries that make Kelowna the “Napa Valley of the North.” The fall bounty is celebrated during the annual Okanagan Fall Wine Festival held each October. Campers in spring and fall should definitely pack puffy parkas for extra warmth on chilly nights.

  • Campground reservations are pretty much required, especially on summer weekends.
  • As the largest city in the Okanagan (and third-largest in BC), Kelowna has all of the retail and professional services that every camper needs (think Costco, Wal-Mart, Mountain Equipment Co-op and Canadian Tire).
  • Motorboats and jet skis are allowed on Okanagan Lake, but there are nearby lakes and beaches that don’t allow motorized watercraft.
  • Fire bans are often in effect during the dry summer months.
