Lazy River Camping is located on the Similkameen River. There are 10 waterfront sites for off grid tent camping and RV's. 1000 meters of beach front. Located 2.2 KM west of the Village of Hedley and 20 minutes to Keremeos. We provide a washroom, water, bbq and a kids playground. Ice is available. Ideal location for events weddings and reunions with more space available upon request. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets in this east/west valley location.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Kathy is an exceptional host—so warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. She went above and beyond to make sure our entire family was comfortable and had plenty of space to enjoy our trip. We stayed at Site 8, and it was perfect! The site is very spacious, right beside the river, and offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The highlight of our stay was seeing our four fur babies having the time of their lives. The campground is truly dog-friendly, with a huge area for them to safely explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors. If you’re looking for a beautiful, spacious, and pet-friendly getaway with an amazing host, I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you, Kathy, for making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

Place is very beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. Washroom was very accessible. We spent most of the day in the river just laying under the sun. Would definitely come back again.

Great site down by the river. Quiet (a bit of highway noise but not bad), the river was beautiful, nice flat grassy tent site, clean bathroom with two stalls. Wish we could have stayed more than one night.

We had a great stay at Lazy river. We actually stayed in site 8 on Kathy’s recommendation. We loved the beach access, beautiful view and the patio overlooking the river. Our kids had a great time playing by the river.

The land was beautiful and open, very quiet at night and close access to the river. Kathy was very welcoming and accommodating. We also appreciated the outdoor washroom space with flushable toilets. We would definitely recommend!

The views are breathtaking, Kathy is very helpful and super sweet. We enjoyed the beach area during the day along with morning coffee and evening drinks on the deck. The site space was spacious with lots of shade and very quiet.

A beautiful location at the side of the River and far enough from the road that you don’t notice cars go by. The host Kathy was helpful offering whatever campsite we wanted as it was early in the season and only one other spot was in use. The views were gorgeous too! The flush toilets and water are handy but best be careful using the loo at night as the field is uneven -take a flashlight.

Beautiful spot with gorgeous sunsets! Clean bathroom that was very accessible. We traveled with kids and the space to run and swing was a hit when we weren't playing at the beach/river.

We absolutely LOVED staying on Kathy’s property. It’s set back from the road enough that traffic noise is minimal. The bathroom was very clean and has nightlights, making it easy to find in the dark. All of the sites are right beside each other along the riverside of the property. When we arrived, Kathy recommended we move from site 2 to site 7, which was further away from the kids playground and right next to the communal “patio” and also in the shade for most of the day. She also provides a common area that is great with benches and tables and a barbecue! It was great to have a full cooking space and a shady place to eat in the summer heat. A lovely collie came to greet us and was super gentle with our senior Dachshund. We forgot ice on our 2nd night and it was great that Kathy had bags of ice to sell to us for $5/bag! Nighttime was glorious, very little light pollution and a sky full of stars and shooting stars. I highly recommend this site, and we will stay here again for sure!!

Our host greeted us upon arrival and allowed a late, last minute check in as we were traveling up to Alaska! They were super accommodating and considerate! We had the whole place to ourselves. Everything was super clean and well kept. They allowed us to run our dogs and let them play in the water which was so nice to try and tucker them out before another long day of driving. Highly recommend this HipCamp!!

Really enjoyed the site and close access to river with awesome mountain backdrop. The lit contained dual bathrooms and lit decks with table to enjoy the vista was very convenient. Definitely would stay there again.

Greatest family campground we've found out there! My daughter has 5 children under the age of 12 and they all loved it! There's a playground and running water with two washrooms. The host is super friendly and the grounds are impeccable (grass is green literally!). Five minutes from Headly and Mariposa fruit stand in Keremeos has the best shorbert ever!

Kathy was awesome. Very helpful getting us settled comfortably. She also let us know about a local street party and helped us figure out the river float. Our weekend at Kathy's campground was incredible. I would definitely come back.

Camping on sarah‘s land was awesome. We were super lucky and only had one or two other campers for our two days stay. Theriver is beautiful and the perfect place to hang out all day. Her dogs are also very sweet.The town nearby is also super cute. Lots of interesting people.

This was the most beautiful place to camp!! Stunning ranch in the mountains right on the river. The bathrooms were great with running water too which was a huge bonus, and the hosts were super friendly. Will definitely be back here!!!
