2)..Important ❗️❗️Please do not bring firewood from other areas to our camp as our property is heavily treed forest and we do not want any transfer of raw wood bugs. We offer $10 generous bundles of wood.
3) When you book, One tent or RV and one vehicle per site. If you are looking to book for a group of friends/family area, we can help with that.. prior to booking.
Also, we reserve the right to put you in the best possible spot to fit in a proper site for what you are camping in and what your needs are. Often people book a site that’s completely wrong for them… but that’s ok… we will fix it. 😊
4) Smoking only on sand at sites and nowhere else on our property Please use a container to hold your butts.
5) Noise restrictions after 9pm…no music or loud behaviour after that. Strictly enforced. We value respect in the camp for all campers.
6) Once you book, we will reply back with important information on the phone number you booked with. Please check for our messages to you for a smooth booking and arrival.

As we take this Hipcamp journey together, we are finding little things we can do to make your stay better…Like offering a complimentary table at your site should you require one…. or adjusting the site you booked to one that would perhaps fit your needs much better as we know it’s difficult to choose a perfect site on line. We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning.
Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Camping at Olich Creek Farm is unique and family friendly. Most of our rescued farm animals roam the property freely and absolutely love human visitors. Families with children will also enjoy the natural play areas the farm offers including a shallow creek and visits with our chickens and ducks. Your dogs or other small pets are permitted in the camping areas only as our herd is terrified of dogs. There is another large area (about 5 acres) where well-behaved dogs can run off leash.
We have one RV site with septic, water and 50 Amp power and can fit a 40 foot unit and 4 totally private tent sites. There is a full washroom with tub/shower, toilet and wifi access in our old farmhouse which is complimentary during your stay.
Should you find that your desired dates are already booked, please reach out to us as we may have a back up spot available.
Please keep in mind we are an organic farm homestead that offers an agritourism experience. We are not a manicured campground :) Your camping fees go directly to support our aging farm animals and horses. We also offer firewood for sale $10/bundle.

Recently we decided to share our property that we love and have enjoyed so much for two reasons: to give others the opportunity to enjoy it and to put money away for university. Our parents, Mark and Sarah, got behind the vision and are excited to be part of this project with us.
We would describe our property as: home…and a really fun place to grow up! Our parents thought that wasn’t descriptive enough for Hipcamp so they’ve helped us describe it more.
We live in a quiet neighbourhood in a forest that has been a source of peace, relaxation, and fun for us in our growing up years. We’ve noticed that people who visit here say they feel the same way.
With plenty of space for kids to explore and adults to relax, our 3 acre forest is perfect for down time with a book in the hammock or a nature walk before dinner.

A single, tidy campsite with picnic table surrounded by mature and gently manicured forest, as well as a hammock, and a new construction outhouse. (Go dad!)
We love hospitality, so though we won’t always be around when you’re here, if we are and you need something you can simply ask and we’ll do our best to provide what you need.
To help you feel welcome we provide a fresh, cool jug of drinking water and large container of fresh potable water as well as access to an outside tap to fill water containers if needed (upon request) , power to charge devices (upon request), and a campfire ring with firewood (sorry about the frequent fire bans. Huge bummer. We will post current fire ban status while you’re here.)

There are miles of trails to hike, 4x4, wild forage, or hunt in season. There are a couple other lakes nearby as well as the Fraser River & the Big Bar Ferry. Highly recommend!! One of our favourites is the Jesmond Fire Lookout. It requires a 4x4 vehicle or physical ability to complete a couple hour hike! The Gertie Bus is located a 5 min walk to a beautiful white sand beach (at low tide). There are walking trails all around and lots of beach access. Tucked into the front of our property in the quiet of Gabriola island you’ll find the converted Gertie bus with all the amenities you need.
The bus has a gas stovetop/oven, bar fridge and sink with grey water system. Equipped kitchen and sofa area to hang out.
The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee.
Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away.
There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets.
The home itself has a pottery studio on the main floor with a full time studio
Practice. Give Paige a ring if you’d like a tour, she’s usually working away.
Our family lives on the top floor.
Outside the bus is are lush veggie gardens, fruit trees and a nice private outdoor dining area. A BBQ and solar lights also help with evening hangouts.
Family friendly! Also we love animals but we ask that you clean up after your pet and keep any animals that aren’t so great with kids and other animals on leash. We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

My fully stocked pavilion, kitchen and lounge have all the cookware, dishware and utensils needed to prepare your meal. There is a BBQ and Coleman stove with propane provided. Drinking water is provided. Firewood is sold on site. Propane fire pit rentals available.
I have cold showers and seasonal warm solar showers. Plus an aquifer-fed pond for clean, cold water dips.
If you want something a little fancier I have a great little off-grid camping cabin and a 20 foot Bell Tent. Ask me about them.

Brent and Sherri are kind hosts who made sure we had a good fire pit and pine cones for our kiddos to throw into the fire. This was very special for our families. Additionally:
-Each site had its own portapotty which is nice for privacy.
-The trail down to the lake was fun for our families and the lake is beautiful. Nice bench at the end.
-We were given a complimentary 5 gal water jug.

Weekend Trip to Hayward Farms
We really enjoyed the quiet and secluded feel of this camp site, without being far from amenities!
Site 4 was awesome, we loved the outdoor kitchen and cozy feeling of the tent!
The area is clean and safe!
They have corn hole set up, my wife and I really enjoyed it for something to do away from screens!
Recommend the trail behind the stable, it goes to a beautiful lake access and bridge!
Brent and Sherri are great hosts, very helpful and just a quick message away if you have any questions!
We would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle without having to travel too far!

We throughly enjoyed our time camping on Paul's property. Each site is nicely contained and private, with a variety in sizes depending on your camping setup. Our truck and tent trailer are 39 feet long before setup and we could have fit in most sites. We were struck by how much birdsong you hear in the morning and evenings and enjoyed watching the birds and dragonflies and bats while we sat around the fire. There's a great nature trail down the road that goes along the rocky shoreline and into the forest around the Oyster River, and sandy Saratoga Beach is only a few minutes' drive away. We'd definitely like to come back!

Weekend Trip to Peacock Camping (Vancouver Island)
The tiny house was lovely and had everything we needed for comfort and cooking. There was a deck and dedicated large side yard that we loved having our coffee on. The menagerie of animals are a delight and the hosts were welcoming and friendly. As a host of an air bnb myself, I highly recommend this place and loved all the details and touches they’ve put into the tiny home. FYI the bed is a pull out couch bed.

Camping was great and felt very private. The washrooms are about a 5-minute walk away, but I didn’t mind at all.
Heather and her mom were wonderful hosts, and we’ll definitely be coming back. We ended up chatting with them for over an hour, and the whole place has such a peaceful atmosphere. I also helped pin all the locations on their visitor map, as Heather’s mom had been meaning to do it for a while 😅.
The conversation felt very warm and heartfelt, and it was clear how much care they put into the experience. The animals were friendly and adorable as well. They’re doing an amazing job.

We had such a wonderful experience at this campsite. It was much more than just a place to stay—it felt like a peaceful sanctuary where animals are truly loved and cared for.
The farm is home to friendly horses, gentle sheep, playful cats and adorable kittens, cows, and even a proud rooster. Every animal looked healthy, happy, and comfortable, which reflects the genuine compassion of the owners. It was heartwarming to see that they are treated with kindness and respect, with absolutely no signs of cruelty.
You can really feel the special bond between the farm owners and their animals. Their selfless dedication and care create a calm, healing atmosphere that makes every visitor feel connected to nature. Spending time with the animals was incredibly relaxing and therapeutic.
If you’re looking for a campsite that offers more than beautiful surroundings—a place where you can experience the joy of connecting with well-loved animals and meet truly caring hosts—I highly recommend this hidden gem. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay with Christian. From the beginning, he was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Since we were traveling by bike, he checked in on us before we arrived and even offered to pick us up if we needed a ride. Anytime we had a question or needed anything, he was always happy to help.
The place was absolutely beautiful, very well cared for, and surrounded by nature. It was peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to unwind. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. Highly recommend staying here!

We had an amazing stay at Darcy’s cabin while we were in the area for a lacrosse tournament. The location was perfect, and conveniently situated between Salmon Arm and Enderby, making it easy to get where we needed while still enjoying a peaceful retreat. The views were absolutely beautiful and made it the perfect place to relax after busy days at the rink.
The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including the firewood, BBQ with propane provided, and the clean bathroom and hot shower facilities.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, and hope we will be making this our annual accommodation for the tournament. Thank you, Darcy, for being such a wonderful host and for sharing your beautiful property!

It was a breathtaking view and Hayward lake was so beautiful! Brent and Sherri were also super welcoming and helpful. The Porto potty was a nice touch and they provided water as well. Site 2 little spot for my solo camping trip. Could definitely fit a few more people comfortably though.

The cabin has a lot of more amenities that the host didn't even mentioned on the website. Michael has put a lot of attention to the details to make our trip easier. (A family of fives with infants).
The BBQ set works well, the campfire is fun and the trail on the property is pretty well maintained.
Would definitely visit again next year.

We had soo much fun staying in the tiny home! It was modern yet still rustic with the wood burning stove. Everything you could need to make meals. Places to sit and relax and look at the animals. Would absolutely come back :)
