This property was purchased nearly half a century ago. For the majority of this time the forest section you will be camping in was left undeveloped, apart from a few mountain bike trails. Recently, as a family, we have seen a large increase in the people traveling to the Sunshine Coast to escape the city limits. Unable to rock up to a campsite and pick our spot like we used to, it was easy to see a growing demand. We have taken everything we love about camping and done our best to give you a sense of what life on the Coast is really about. Gibsons -Sunshine Coast is a 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver BC
Please note: By entering onto the property you release all liabilities towards us as hosts. You are choosing to camp in a forested area that contains many hazards as well as potential threats. Our campsite is located along the beautiful Spillimacheen River, in Spillimacheen BC which is 20mins south of Golden BC and 30mins north of Radium Hot Springs BC.
This property is very secluded and surrounded by crown land. It’s the perfect property to disconnect and reconnect, with limited cell service this allows you to turn off and just enjoy being outside in nature.
Campers can choose where to park along a large cleared area. There are designated campfire locations and an outhouse. From the property, you can Kayak down the river, please Google and research before launching as there are a lot of writes ups and kayaking websites that feature the Spillimacheen River.
Nature trails for hiking and walking right off the property. There is a well renowned natural rock wall for climbers 3km down the road, there are also a lot of websites that feature these rock walls.
Within a half an hour drive you have two easy hikes in waterfalls (the Lower Bugaboo Falls and the Brisco Falls).
Spillimacheen has a cafe and also a local market store that is full of delicious treats, beer and wine. The wetlands offer endless bird watching and beautiful mountain views.
If you require firewood you must order ahead of your stay. On site purchases are not available. We deliver the bundles the day of your arrival.

It has a lovely forest area, alongside sprawling fields that are dotted with beautiful wildflowers throughout Spring and Summer. Another delightful feature of our home is a swamp that displays a spectacular array of bird wildlife in the spring and early summer. A bird watcher’s dream! And, if you are lucky, you may even see deer, beaver, bear, coyote, Marmot, or Western Painted Turtle roaming the property, all have been seen on the farm at one time or another, so keep your eyes peeled!
We are close to amenities but are far enough out of town to provide a quiet and restful retreat from the hum and drum of every day life.
We are popular for family reunions and specialty gatherings such as card or game tournaments.
Summer in the Okanagan. Come and enjoy the scenery, fresh peaches, cherries, watermelons, veggies and other locally grown delights when in season.

Each site is surrounded by trees, offering space, solitude. You won’t be parked 10 feet from your neighbour here.
All sites are lakefront or pond-front, with beautiful views and a truly peaceful atmosphere. One lake has a softer clay bottom, the other is rocky with a silty base—both are fantastic for paddleboarding, and relaxing. We especially love swimming in the rockier one.
The property is still a bit rugged—we’ve just moved here and are looking to generate some revenue to help fund improvements. Firepits and picnic tables are provided at each site.
Please note:
There’s a sani-dump and small shop in Wasa, about 15 minutes away.
The road in is bumpy but fully accessible for 2WD vehicles—just take it slow.
Quiet hours apply—no loud music or parties, and generator use is limited to specific times.

We were thrilled to be at Mary's Farm. What a lovely place. Super peaceful and quiet. We felt very comfortable and rejuvenated after a 3-week road trip.
The only noise was from the road across the way but it wasn't a problem. Getting there is interesting because the road is one-way at times so we had to take it slow. No worries though as the visit is definitely worth it.
It was fun to meet Mary, Caleb and everyone at the farm. Such an interesting place. We will definitely return someday.

Gerald’s property is a special gem ! Private, peaceful, and excellent amenities- very much enjoyed having a hot outdoor shower. Tenting beside the tranquil pond, listening to the frogs and breeze through the trees while falling asleep was very relaxing. Gerald is a very helpful host, he even provided a kayak so I could explore the pond ! My pup & I had a wonderful time on this property. Especially adorable is the co-host Daisy, who will enthusiastically greet guests upon arrival and help guide you down to your site 🐶

Hmm. Alright, here’s a polished version you could post: We had such a wonderful stay at Kitchen Sink Farm and can’t recommend it enough. The campground was spotless, peaceful, and thoughtfully set up. Our RV had a brand new queen mattress that was super comfortable, a small stove that worked great, and a picnic table with an awning, chairs, and a cozy yard where we enjoyed meals and stargazed. The hot shower was excellent, and we loved the little touches, like the honesty station with shampoos and soaps. What truly made the stay special were the people. Communication was always prompt and warm, and Yvonne kindly gave us a tour of the sanctuary, introducing us to each of the animals —horses, cows, pigs, goats, geese, ducks, chickens, and more. That was a highlight of the trip. We were also touched by the beautiful Kitchen Sink Farm glass water bottles they gave each of us, a thoughtful gesture that reflects the kindness of the people who run it. Knowing that the campsite supports a nonprofit animal sanctuary made it feel even more meaningful. It’s also just minutes from Roberts Creek amenities like the pier and Gumboot Cafe, making it a perfect base for exploring the Sunshine Coast. We stayed two nights as a family and would happily return.

This was hands-down the best campsite we’ve ever stayed at! 🌿✨
The campsite had just opened, we were the first campers there, and the owners truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. Our site was spacious, peaceful, and thoughtfully set up with a picnic table and two outdoor chairs—the perfect spot for watching the stars at night. There are two camping sites and one site with trailer. Each site is lit with solar lights after dark, which made the whole experience feel even more magical.
The field kitchen and shower were well equipped, and we absolutely loved all the little details and personal touches throughout the property.
One of the things that makes this place especially meaningful is that the owners run an animal rescue and sanctuary. Guests can take a tour of their farm, and by staying here, you’re directly supporting the important work they do. ❤️
The location is great too—close to the beach at Roberts Crek, and 20 min to the ferry, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
We can’t recommend this place enough. It’s peaceful, beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and run by wonderful people. Definitely worth a visit—and we’ll definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always a lovely time on Giovanni's land! He's a welcoming host, the outhouse is clean, and it's wonderful having access to an outdoor sink. We saw so many animals this time, too! Great stay 👍

The campsite was spectacular. It was absolutely huge and sat right in the forest with no other campsites in view. It was quiet and peaceful. A huge bonus is the beautiful outhouse made from trees in the forest. I imagine most people are in cars, but for backpackers on foot, it is possible to get there via public bus. You just have to check the schedules carefully. Once you know the times you can even flag down a bus to take you back to Long Harbor ferry, once you walk down to Long Harbor Road. And if they don’t run when you need them, there are cabs on the island.
The public transportation system on the island in general is spectacular and I was able to see a lot of the island. I highly recommend this campsite.

Had such a nice stay here! Teepee is exactly as pictured and very nice inside. We had the most comfortable sleeps here!! The view is spectacular!!
Outhouse was new and clean and did not smell like an outhouse at all! Smelled of freshly cut wood!
You absolutely must stop at the doughnut shop 5 minutes up the street, best doughnut I’ve ever had.
Our car couldn’t make it up the hill like others have mentioned but it wasn’t a problem for us bc we travel pretty light. The family was very helpful and her boys offered to help us carry our heavy stuff from the parking lot, which is less than a three minute walk.
We can’t wait to come back here next year!!!

Was a great spot, and Gerald was an excellent host. Helped us bring our stuff to the site, as the site is further into the property than at the parking area. Loved the peaceful atmosphere.

Great spot! Very private and secluded - you really felt like you were in the wilderness. Rejeanne is very friendly and was happy to help us first-timers. Can't recommend this campsite enough!

Site 10 is not for the weak to access, but its doable in a car as well as long as its not after the rain. But the host said we can take any spot we like, cos it was not busy.
Now about the camping spot, this is a great place to be with the stars, Lake nearby, tidy shower and the outhouse is clean. The campsite is away from civilization, which is amazing! The lake is swimmable, host was good and super friendly! Plus the drive from the highway was really scenic. Would of never taken that road if not the campsite, you simply drive right on the coast of the huge lake with the fancy cottages right next to it.
