It’s the perfect property to disconnect and reconnect, with limited cell service this allows you to turn off and just enjoy being outside in nature. Campers can choose where to park along a large cleared area. There are designated campfire locations and an outhouse. From the property, you can Kayak down the river, please Google and research before launching as there are a lot of writes ups and kayaking websites that feature the Spillimacheen River. Nature trails for hiking and walking right off the property. There is a well renowned natural rock wall for climbers 3km down the road, there are also a lot of websites that feature these rock walls. Within a half an hour drive you have two easy hikes in waterfalls (the Lower Bugaboo Falls and the Brisco Falls). Spillimacheen has a cafe and also a local market store that is full of delicious treats, beer and wine. The wetlands offer endless bird watching and beautiful mountain views. If you require firewood you must order ahead of your stay. On site purchases are not available. We deliver the bundles the day of your arrival. A wood burning BBQ is available for use and a huge upright smoker for your fish haul (bring your own propane cylinder). BATHROOMS: There are no bathrooms in the cabin. Flush toilets and hot showers are available in the wash house steps away in the summer and in the lodge in the other months. ELECTRICITY: The cabins have no electricity. Please bring your own lanterns and flashlights. WATER FUN: The cabin is RIGHT ON THE WATER and in the summer we have dock for jumping off of or launching a boat. Firewood and water (from the lake) for washing is provided. There is no fridge so you will need to bring a cooler with ice for your perishables. Town is an hour away. CHECK-OUT: Please leave the cabin clean and tidy and pack out all your garbage and left-over food. ACCESS: We are located 50 km down a logging road and we advise access only by 4-wheel drive vehicles although many cars have made it in the summer. In the winter, access is an ice road. 10/10 for me!! We had such an amazing 2 night stay at the Cozy & Unforgettable Lakewood Cabin. We are a group of five and it was such a great experience. The host is so friendly and accommodating. The horse, the goat, the chicken, and the baby ducks were all wonderful. Would definitely come back again!

We stayed here for a night while celebrating my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The cabin was cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by nature—perfect for a relaxing getaway. It’s especially ideal for those who want to enjoy the feel of camping without the hassle of setting up a tent. You still get that outdoor charm, but with much more comfort. A special mention to our host, Michael, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. He even provided us with firewood free of charge, which was a lovely and unexpected touch. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable nature retreat.

We had a fabulous stay at the cabin. We loved how everything was milled and built by the owners. It was clean, quiet and so peaceful. We definitely plan to return. The hot pool was HUGE and had a great view of the stars at night. We came prepared with coolers full of ice, cooking utensils and made use of the provided bbq. There was a large fire pit and wood provided, although we ran out of time to have a fire. We enjoyed the wood stove heating and rustic nostalgic feeling. The outdoor shower and outdoor washroom were clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable and our son loved his space in the upper loft. We appreciate it is pet friendly, although this trip we left our dogs with a sitter :) This is a little piece of heaven!

5-Star Review We had such a wonderful stay at Michael and Amy’s Lakewood Cabin! From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right. The creek running beside the cabin was incredibly calming — we could hear it from the deck and it made every moment feel peaceful. The Enchanted Forest walk right nearby was a highlight; it was so serene and beautiful, perfect for clearing your mind. The cabin itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, making our stay effortless and comfortable. Directions were excellent and it was very easy to find. Even over spring break, the price was more than reasonable for what we got. The outdoor shower was an absolute treat — liberating, quiet, and surprisingly peaceful with nature all around us. The BBQ worked perfectly, and the firewood was cheap and easy to get if you don’t bring your own. A special memory was meeting Stella the horse — she was so gentle and kind with my children, which made the trip extra magical for the kids. We loved it so much that we’d go back next weekend if we could! We’re already planning our return trip later this year. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-equipped getaway in a beautiful natural setting. So close to town, yet felt hours away. Thank you, Michael and Amy! Michael and his family have an amazing space. It has all the amenities one could need and is quiet and peaceful. Everyone there is extremely friendly but there is enough space between cabins to feel like you have your own personal space if that's what you want. The Enchanted Forest trail is fantastic for all ages and kids will love it! Absolutely recommend! Will definitely be back.

Our 2-night stay was wonderful. The cabin was superb and cozy, making it feel like a true home away from home. The vibe is laid-back, surrounded by nature, and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with. The place is incredibly peaceful—the sound of the creek was so calming and helped us sleep well. The kids had a great time playing in the creek with their boat and exploring the mini trail. We would definitely love to come back again.

If you're looking for an escape from the city, the Woodland Cabin is perfect spot for an overnighter. Falling asleep to the sound of running water and rain on the roof was so dreamy. The cabin was very cozy and well stocked. We are looking forward to coming back!

Our stay was awesome! We are easy to please I think but it was just what we needed. Simple yet practical. It had everything we needed plus extras. I stayed here with my 5 year old and 2 year old, they absolutely loved the enchanted forest and thought it was pretty cool that Micheal put it all there just for them😅 the loop through the forest was perfect for kids and I loved that it was close to town, thr lake, yet still felt like we were in the middle of no where. We will be back for sure!

Beautiful location and mini cabin that was extremely cozy. My husband and I went on a day trip where the weather wasn’t so kind but it oddly made the experience even better with the view from the large cabin window's. The peaceful sound of the rain and Netflix made it extremely memorable and the fire-pit in the back made it all the better (when the weather was kind). The goat and horse were also a lovely sight frolicking through the field.

Michael’s cabin is the perfect getaway for families, friends, or couples. Even though it was raining during our stay, the atmosphere was incredibly cozy, and the view through the large windows was absolutely stunning. The cabin itself was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a thoughtful selection of coffee and tea. The bathroom was also clean and very comfortable. One of the highlights of our trip was feeding carrots to the goats and horses with Michael’s permission—it was such a fun experience! We also bought some fresh eggs on-site, and they were delicious. I highly recommend exploring the forest trail Michael decorated. It’s filled with cute, unique decorations that make the walk feel magical. We had such a great time that I’m already planning to come back with friends very soon!
