Stayed 1 night at Fir&feather. Felt like home, but views made it more like home. Its clean, safe, scenic, romantic and easily accessible. Missed to have my wine as didn’t know it was gift for me by Claire 🤣🤣

Weekend Trip to Osprey Acres

My son and I traveled to Kamloops, from the lower mainland to stay with at Osprey Acres for a couple of nights and had a beautiful experience! Shauna and Wayne were absolutely the warmest and most welcoming pair, so much that we are planning another stay at the end of summer. I highly recommend this quiet spot. It was a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city and we felt like finally we could relax and breathe right.

3 nights at Blacktail Ridge

I camp almost every weekend in the spring and summer and Blacktail Ridge is hands down the best camping spot I have had in Canada/US in the 3 years I have been here. The sites themselves are massive. Most other campsites try to cram 5 sites into the size of Blacktails sites. The toilets and showers are clean, hot and very well maintained. The firewood is dry, great quality and burns hot for hours. The property overall is spectacular, clean and green. Best of all are the hosts! Dean had a lifetime of knowledge and shared some valuable info on the local area that helped me a ton. Debbie was quick to reply to any questions I had and Zach gave me a great introduction to the property. I will go back and stay here every time I'm in the area and am looking forward to it! Thanks Dean, Deb and Zach for setting the bar:)

We enjoyed our weekend camping at Navit’s. Our group booked both spots and we were all quite content with the green, natural space, which felt more private than many campgrounds. Directions were clear and listing accurate. Access to potable water and compostable toilet, as well as closeness to Shirley Delicious and adventures make this a spot we would come back to.

We absolutely loved tenting in the Shady rock campsite! The site was private and there was so much to do on the property itself. We played some lawn games and volleyball and made use of the camp stove as well which was super convenient. The showers were nice and warm and washrooms were clean and comfortable! Michelle and John made sure we had everything we needed and were super welcoming. If we come back to the area we will definitely be staying here again!

2 nights at Deep Creek Cabin And Tents

This cabin was exactly what we needed. Quiet, simple, and surrounded by nature. Tucked away in the woods, it offered peace without pretension. Two fold-out chairs on the porch were perfect for sipping coffee and watching the trees sway. Inside, the space was cozy and warm with a wood stove that added charm and comfort. Our cat, leashed and curious, settled in easily and enjoyed the quiet as much as we did. Though we had cell service, we rarely touched our phones, only for music and photos. The forest was more than enough. We spent our days walking short trails, watching light filter through the trees, and resting without pressure. At night, we built fires in the large fire pit and talked under the stars. The view through the trees was beautiful, especially at sunrise and sunset. Everything about this stay reminded us to slow down. It wasn’t luxury, it was something better. Real, grounding, and quietly unforgettable. We left feeling lighter, more present, and deeply grateful and will be regulars here for sure.

Weekend Trip to ARLO's KVR Trail Riverside Camping

Tent camping and the site was well kept with an amazing view that was steps away from the river. The area was quiet and we were able to have our dogs with us off leash which they really enjoyed. There was an outhouse that was a few minutes walk from the site and was probably one of the nicest ones I have ever seen. 10/10 would recommend. We had met the owner and chatted with him during our stay. He was very welcoming and accommodating ensuring we were doing well and had everything we needed. We booked for multiple days but ended up having to cut our stay short as the weather was not cooperating with us. Hope to visit again.

Weekend Trip to Osprey Acres

Great place to camp, as advertised it is in the middle between Paul and Pinantan lakes. Hosts are amazing, friendly and helpful, it was cold during our stay and they had deck and shelter with heaters prepared. Water and firewoods available. There is creek next to the campsite which gives that waterfall noise for a good sleep. Wonderful scenery, tons of places to hike and explore around, plenty of birds, safe and calm place to camp. Absolutely recomended.

Learn more about this land: Our campsite is located along the beautiful Spillimacheen River, in Spillimacheen BC which is 20mins south of Golden BC and 30mins north of Radium Hot Springs BC. This property is very secluded and surrounded by crown land. It’s the perfect property to disconnect and reconnect, with limited cell service this allows you to turn off and just enjoy being outside in nature. Campers can choose where to park along a large cleared area. There are designated campfire locations and an outhouse. From the property, you can Kayak down the river, please Google and research before launching as there are a lot of writes ups and kayaking websites that feature the Spillimacheen River. Nature trails for hiking and walking right off the property. There is a well renowned natural rock wall for climbers 3km down the road, there are also a lot of websites that feature these rock walls. Within a half an hour drive you have two easy hikes in waterfalls (the Lower Bugaboo Falls and the Brisco Falls). Spillimacheen has a cafe and also a local market store that is full of delicious treats, beer and wine. The wetlands offer endless bird watching and beautiful mountain views. Welcome to our secluded little farm paradise. We are located on the west side of the W̱SÁNEĆ Peninsula on the main drive, West Saanich Road. Our farm is a 7-acre home to horses, sheep, goats, and chickens, along with a budding willow and rose garden and veggie stand. We have 3 accommodations offerings here on HipCamp: (1) Tent camping in the fenced forest meadow (2) Car camping at selected sites around the farm (3) The Barn Loft private guest suite {The Camping Meadow} The meadow is a 1/2 acre fully-fenced, flat forest dell. There is a water spigot and an electrical outlet for charging devices at the west gate (that's across from your entry point). It can host up to 12 people total. West Saanich Road can be a bit loud at night in the summer. If you have sensitive hearing, we encourage earplugs and/or camping at the farthest west end of the meadow. {Car Camping around the Farm} We've received lots of requests for car camping so we've created several little nooks in and around forest and meadow spots on the farm. If these are all booked, you are welcome to still book the tent camping meadow and sleep in your vehicle, but please note that vehicle cannot enter the fenced camping meadow. {Shared Washroom} The washroom is the shared washroom on the farm inside the farmhouse on the ground/basement floor, with a flush toilet and luxury shower. It is a short walk from the camping meadow, inside the heritage farmhouse. The Barn Loft Guest Suite is equipped with a composting toilet. Those staying at the Loft can also use the shared washroom. Please note that only the washroom is available for public use. Entering other areas of the basement is prohibited, as these are private living spaces. {Farm Fun} We have five horses, a tiny pony, chickens, a few goats and a flock of sheep,. Your dogs or other small pets are permitted in the camping areas only as our herd is terrified of dogs. There is another large area (about 5 acres) where well-behaved dogs can run off leash. We have one RV site with septic, water and 50 Amp power and can fit a 40 foot unit and 2 totally private tent sites. There is a full washroom with tub/shower, toilet and wifi access in our old farmhouse which is complimentary during your stay.
