We live in a little off-grid cabin deep in the Yalakom Valley in a small community of rustic-living and friendly folks. Please note that this property is located 40 km outside of Lillooet. Part of the road is a dirt road and a bit bumpy, best for cars that don't mind roughing it a little bit. You also lose service 5 minutes outside of Lillooet. The property is surrounded by private lots. You can explore ours down to the river or you can drive to other locations like the Horsehoe (a great swim spot), Carpenter Lake (great for swimming, too), Lac La Mere (good for fishing), Carol Lake, and much more.
This is a somewhat rustic and rugged spot- if you are looking for fancy glamping this is not the space for you! Vancouverites, you've been warned!

McAllister Creek Farm is pleased to offer a unique and rustic country stay in our 24’ Yurt, Log Cabin Bunkhouse and Gypsy Wagon overlooking the pond. The yurt sleeps 3-4 with a king sized bed and futon, the Log Cabin sleeps 3 with a bunk-bed that pulls out to a double on the bottom bunk.
Accommodations include the use of the Gypsy Wagon that serves as the Kitchen with full-size fridge, convection/air fryer oven, 2 electric burners and all kitchen accessories. Outside is a bbq and propane firepit. The washroom building includes an outhouse and shower with a view of the pond.
Please note if you book either the Yurt or the Log Cabin there is a chance the other is occupied by other guests and the Washroom Building and Gypsy Wagon Kitchen will be shared.
It’s a wonderful space to drink in nature and create some well-deserved peace and tranquility. You are welcome to stroll on the path along the pond around the farm and hang out with the herd of friendly goats and visit with the Scottish Highland Coos. For a limited time only there are lots of baby goats to cuddle! Your neighbours in the adjoining pasture Stanley and Ollie the resident donkeys will be your wakeup call.

The Yellowpoint area has a lot of great parks and features, within a short drive you can check out Yellowpoint Park for a nice walk through the woods, and if you want to see the ocean, Roberts Memorial Park, Cable Bay Trail and Blue Heron Park are all quite spectacular. Blue Heron is great for swimming in the heat of the summer as well, quite rocky so take water shoes. Exploring a bit farther away will take you to the top of Mt Benson in Nanaimo (a 900m hike) or WildPlay Nanaimo has a fun filled day of adventure courses. Local farm stands and artisans are in abundance. The Cedar Market just a few kms away has a great farmers market on Sundays and Duncan has their Farmers Market on Saturdays.
Nearby restaurants are the Wheatsheaf Pub a local favourite located 12 mins away by car in the neighbouring community of Cedar. The Cranberry Arms pub is a bit further down the road from the Wheatsheaf and is great for a casual bite. The Crow and Gate is a very short drive away and is famous for its English pub charm. The Mahle House in Cedar is a higher end restaurant and Coco's Cafe is a great spot for a coffee or lunch.

The pictures of this property does not do it justice. It’s is absolutely gorgeous and tranquil. Kaitlyn and Tom have created the most beautiful space. It is clean, quiet and relaxing.
The hosts give you privacy and are very hospitable to anything you may need during your stay.

Weekend Trip to Glamping Yurt at Radius Retreat
We had a wonderful glamping experience at Radium Retreat! 🌲✨
The site was easy to locate and fully drivable, which made arrival stress-free. The place is very clean and well-kept — you can tell the owner puts a lot of care into it, and we particularly like the composting toilet. The indoor fireplace was a lovely touch and easy to set up, we had a good sleep during the stay. We also enjoyed the privacy — we didn’t see other groups during our stay, so it felt like we had the entire retreat to ourselves. For a natural site like this, it was a pleasant surprise to have bio-friendly shampoo and body wash provided when we arrived at the shower place.
A few things to note: the The watering hole/shower room is about a 20-minute walk from the Warren, so be prepared. Reading the map and guidebook in advance is highly recommended, as there are some activities that the retreat site can offer. We could have got lost if we didn't read the instruction getting to the watering hole (There is one more junction that the map didn't show). More photos online would also help guests get a clearer idea of choosing yurt or getting around. Lastly, reserve extra time to explore the trails — I didn’t get the chance this time and wish I had!
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-run glamping getaway.

3 nights at Lake Glamping with Beach and Sauna
We had such an amazing time at Anderson Lake! The Yurt was cozy and comfortable, the outdoor kitchen made cooking so easy and scenic, and the property was absolutely breathtaking! It is totally worth the drive and such a cool way to experience the area! Absolutely book the sauna, and bring your paddle boards if you can! Can’t wait to come back next year! :)

The yurt and nature spa were absolutely fantastic. My sister and I spent two nights at Kaitlyn’s place. The yurt was so cozy and the mattress was the perfect firmness. The nature spa was so relaxing. We appreciated that we could use the spa throughout our stay and spent the first night in the hot tub stargazing. Kaitlyn recommended a hike for us to do which was lovely - we then came back to the spa all set up for an elemental circuit including a clay mask and seaweed. We felt so good afterwards! Kaitlyn was so kind and welcoming, would stay here again!

I really enjoyed my time at this place. The Yurt is lovely and really well built. It is comfortable and the shower is so cute!
There is a toaster oven, coffee maker with coffee and sugar, plus cutlery and plates. There is water and a sink outside that has hot and cold. The wifi is pretty good, but cell service isn't. The driveway is very steep and rocky, so keep in mind when driving there. The bathroom is a walk from the Yurt on gravel. They are pet-friendly which is the best part! The owners were very friendly and kind.
Overall, I really enjoyed staying here and would again!

Weekend Trip to Lake Glamping with Beach and Sauna
We had a wonderful stay at Anderson Lake. The yurts are beautiful, spotless, and well organized. It’s the perfect place for a peaceful getaway, and the lake itself is absolutely stunning.
A few important tips before you go:
• You must have an off-road vehicle — ideally 4WD or AWD. A sedan will not make it.
• After navigating the rough road, you’ll park and then hike down a narrow path to your yurt. Carrying luggage, coolers, and gear can be challenging, as we had to make multiple trips.
• The lake is about a 5–6 minute hike down from the yurts.
• There are only two yurts on site. If the other one isn’t booked, you’ll be alone in the forest and campground — which might feel too isolated for some.
Overall, it’s a beautiful and unique experience with plenty of hiking involved. Just be prepared for the physical effort, and you’ll have an unforgettable stay

What a fantastic glamping spot! We had a great time and were so happy that our dogs could be off-leash and enjoy the semi-private beach. The lake is crystal clear and the whole vibe is incredibly tranquil. The site is well-maintained, the dry pit is clean, and the outdoor shower with hot water was a highlight. The solar power for basic lighting worked perfectly.
For future improvements, a portable fan would be a huge help, especially on hot summer nights, as it got a bit too warm inside the yurt. We also found that cooking inside wasn't realistic; the detached kitchen on the other yurt is a smart design.
Be warned about the roads! An AWD vehicle is a must from either D'Arcy or Lilooet, as some slopes are steep. The beach is a short walk away, but it's a 70m altitude change, which is tough with gear like a paddleboard. Lastly, be prepared for biting flies, which are naturally occurring and not a reflection of cleanliness.

Loved this space so much. The sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge are great additions to add relaxation to an already relaxing stay. Any questions we had were promptly answered by our kind hosts. Easy to find, gorgeous nature to enjoy, comfortable inside and out. so grateful!

Weekend Trip to Lake Glamping with Beach and Sauna
Our stay on Anderson Lake was incredible! The Yurt was super cozy and cute. We enjoyed a fire in the yurt and late nights star gazing from bed while we watched Harry Potter. The lake is so clear and blue which was perfect for swimming the day away and kayaking, and when we weren’t in the water, we were lounging on the beach in the sun. Plus the sauna took our trip to another level! This was such a lovely getaway, we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere with so much privacy during our stay. Propane fire was available to buy and the outdoor kitchen came with pretty much everything you’d need. The only thing to note is that the drive in to the Yurt was definitely a little scary at times (I wouldn’t feel comfortable driving in a 2WD) and the walk from the parking lot to the yurt and the walk from the yurt to the beach were mini hikes in their own right! Short walks but steep. Totally worth the effort though, would come back.
