Welcome to 28 acres of forests, mountains, creeks, a river and all that comes with it!
We live in a little off-grid cabin deep in the Yalakom Valley in a small community of rustic-living and friendly folks. Please note that this property is located 40 km outside of Lillooet. Part of the road is a dirt road and a bit bumpy, best for cars that don't mind roughing it a little bit, and best for people who don't fear cliffs. You also lose service 5 minutes outside of Lillooet.
The property is surrounded by one other large private lot on one side and some steep crown land on the other. You can explore our lot down to the river or you can drive to other locations like the Horseshoe (a great swim spot), Carpenter Lake (great for swimming, too), Lac La Mere (good for fishing), Carol Lake, and much more.
All sites are located 150-200 feet away from our main house and share the same outhouse. However, it is unlikely for us to have more than one site booked the same time, so there is ample privacy.
This is a somewhat rustic and rugged spot- if you are looking for fancy glamping this is not the space for you! Vancouverites, you've been warned!

We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for neighbours to hear.
Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest and bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall as well a world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just 5 or so minutes away. You can ATV right out of our gate onto unlimited logging roads and trails or hike the Trans Canada Trail 3 blocks from our gate.
There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the picnic shelter. There is a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for protection due to a drop-off and undercut banks.
ATV's are idle in - idle out.
QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them and not leave them unattended.
LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights.
CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times!
FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full and is available between 9 AM and 8 PM.
WATER: We do have a non-potable water tap in the park. I'm not allowed to say that the water at the waterfall/creek is good water - so I won't.
BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef jerky for sale (this cow was treated as a pet until her time & was dispatched on the farm to avoid stress). We occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens.
Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them.

There is a fancy outhouse that flushes water and is equipped with a sink. This space is best suited for a single, a couple, and possibly a fur baby and/or little one.
We are located on a quiet residential street 20 minutes from Port Alberni and en route to Tofino or Ucluelet. We have walking and mountain biking trails minutes from the house.
If you are bringing a fur baby, please let us know. It must be on a leash at all times. Please bring your fur baby's favourite blanket or bed to sleep on. We kindly ask that you keep your fur baby off the furniture and bed, and that you please not leave your pet unattended.
The Portal has internet and spotty cell service. There is an outlet for charging, etc. Parking is on-site. Local food options include the "The Fish & Duck Pub" which is just a short walk away. Call Doordash to deliver a meal from one of our local restaurants, such as Sproat Lake Landing, or bring a picnic to enjoy.

We undertook renovations, lived in it for 6 months and then moved into a yurt on a more accessible section of our property. We now run the cabin as a short term rental, have another small rental next to our house and we are using the yurt for gatherings, retreats and yoga classes!

Our ranch is on Gun Creek Road, close to Tyax Lake, 30 minutes from Gold Bridge and Bralorne. It is about 2 hours west of Lillooet or north of Pemberton (6 hours from Vancouver) on a remote road with paved and gravel sections and no cell service.
There is no cell service or TV at our location. Wi‑Fi is usually available but cannot be guaranteed due to weather and other natural factors outside our control. We have access to a landline if urgent calls need to be made.
You are responsible for leaving the cabin/your room and the area around it clean and free of food and garbage. Each guest is responsible for cleaning the cabins when they leave, such as doing the laundry, washing all dishes. At the end of your stay, please bring all garbage to the main house so we do not attract critters and bears.
We live in a true wilderness environment. The cabin water system uses filtered creek water and, though not common, there is always the possibility for water pressure to fluctuate.
Weather and other variables can change quickly in the mountains. We expect guests to approach challenges with a positive, solution‑oriented mindset and to be respectful of nature, other guests and our team. We are experienced in dealing with nature’s challenges and will find a solution together.

Moon Gate Farms offers an unique glamping and camping experience in Roberts Creek, BC.
Please note we have strict quiet times from 9pm to 8am. And strict no smoking policy as we are in the middle of a dry forest during the summer.
The property is just a 10-minute drive from beaches, restaurants, and hiking trails. Moon Gate farms is an ideal getaway for a nature experience and perfect for mountain walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers, or couples looking to escape into the wilderness.
Communal outdoor kitchen with camp stove, prep tables, toaster, microwave, are provided. Hot outdoor showers and flushing toilets.
Friendly canine campers are also invited. We have two resident Bernese mountain x black retriever dogs who love to bark when campers arrive! They are friendly and settle quickly when told to sit and chill.
The best way to get directions is to use Google Maps and follow directions to Moon Gate Farms in Roberts Creek. We are pinned on the map on East Wilson Forest Service Rd.

We are located right at the Earl's Cove Ferry Terminal, tucked into a beautiful wooded area.
We're just a 1-minute walk from The Cove Restaurant and the Earls Cove–Saltery Bay ferry.
Less than a 5-minute drive from stunning Ruby Lake and about a 10-minute drive from Egmont, the Backeddy Pub, and Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park, the property is ideally situated for exploring the area.
This getaway is perfectly located for anyone looking for a short pit stop on the way up the coast or a leisurely stay to explore the stunning surroundings.
The property offers a few options for overnight guests:
• A tent pad (camping gear can be provided by the hosts if needed), with access to a shared kitchen and, starting in June, an outhouse and outdoor shower to be shared with guests staying in the pavilion.
• A cozy pavilion with power and heat, shared access to a washroom and outdoor shower, and its own small fridge, hot plate, and BBQ.
• A bedroom in the main cabin for up to two guests, with shared access to a bathroom in the cabin.
All guests are welcome to use the common kitchen, located at the top of the property.
Guests are also welcome to use the two kayaks and two paddleboards provided by the owners.
There are plenty of scenic trails, hidden bays, and beautiful viewpoints to explore nearby, as well as throughout the Sunshine Coast. Madeira Park and Pender Harbour are both only about 20 minutes away by car.
Please note: A small ferry terminal is nearby, which adds a bit of local coastal activity during the day. Ferry arrivals and departures can create brief noise for a few minutes at a time, typically between 6:30 AM and 9:30 PM.

Welcome to Camas Creek Retreat, a secluded nature getaway 40 minutes outside Victoria BC. We are steps from Sitting Lady Falls, birdwatching at Witty's Lagoon, and some of the best hiking in BC. Bring your bike and coast down the hill to the Galloping Goose bike trail, go swimming at Matheson Lake, plunge into the Sooke Potholes, or visit one of the many beautiful farm stands in Metchosin.
Our property sits on two acres of Douglas fir forest and Garry Oak meadow. Camas Creek runs under a little bridge as you enter our lane. Watch for woodpeckers, ravens and birds of all types here.
Metchosin is a Dark Skies certified community, so star gazing is good here, while still being close to Victoria!

We stayed two nights at Christian’s beautiful cabin. Christian is super helpful and responsive as a host. Cabin was clean, warm and cozy with the firewood stove. Campground too was clean and well maintained. The composting toilet is a little daunting for the us first timers. Overall, highly recommend it if you are want a true off-the-grid experience

Weekend Trip to Lakewood Cabins
The place was exactly described as mentioned in the listing. It has everything, literally you dont have to bring anything other than bedding. ( bedding also available for extra charge) there is a nice trail you can explore. There are couple of old trees more than 400 years old. Micheal was super friendly and a great host. If you are looking for a quiet gateway this place is a gem. And cultus lake 5 mins away. 30-40 mins drive for other major attractions. Will come back again. Thanks Micheal for having us.

Michael is such a kind and welcoming host!
We were lucky enough to be offered an early check-in, which we really appreciated. We understand this was only possible because the cabin hadn’t been booked the night before, but it was such a lovely start to our stay.
Michael was wonderful to chat with and went above and beyond to help us with our extra needs. He shared a great range of activities and recommendations for exploring the area, which we really appreciated.
We were also lucky enough to meet his beautiful neighbours, who were incredibly kind and even helped our family when we ran into some car trouble. It was such a lovely reminder of how welcoming and helpful people can be.
The cabin itself is a rustic, homely little haven. We were very comfortable throughout the rainy days, and it was well equipped, easy to cook in and simple to keep clean.
We loved the spacious bedroom and the comfortable beds (we brought our own linen). The toilet facilities were easy to use and very clean, and I noticed they were refreshed daily, which was a lovely touch.
The shower was another highlight. There’s something truly special about enjoying a hot shower under the stars — such a lush experience!
We had a wonderful stay and really appreciated Michael’s warmth, generosity and the peaceful, homely feel of the cabin. Thank you for making our time there so comfortable and memorable!

Weekend Trip to Deep Mountain Sea Cabin
This spot is the perfect hideaway if you want a beautifully scenic road trip into the mountains and heart of British Colombia. Tucked away in the valley, this cozy cabin provides a space to take a deep breath and unwind in a safe and quiet environment. The road in is a bit hectic- would recommend a 4x4 as there were lots of rocks on the highway, especially closer to the cabin that might scrape up smaller car (we did make it in our small hatchback but would recommend against it lol) But once you reach your destination, Ren was very responsive, warm and friendly. She provided us with lots of firewood and kindling, and even gave us a lovely gift of fresh vegetables from her amazing garden. The cabin was clean, tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The outhouse is even beautiful! with great views haha. I will definitely be coming back in the future, and would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away into nature for a weekend.

We made a two day getaway to Salmon Arm. The Heritage Golf Course at Salmon Arm Golf Club was only a short drive away.
Cabin #2 was fairly new and super clean. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful to answer any questions. We had a campfire and the wood was provided.
We highly recommend this cabin.
