(You can dump it before leaving - just let the host know in advance). The map, is not accurate on this site! Check on my Tamihimeadows.com website and click on "Map and Directions" for more information and pictures. We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace & quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for neighbours to hear. Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest & bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise. Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer & fall & world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just 5 or so minutes away. You can ATV right out of our gate onto unlimited logging roads and trails or hike the Trans Canada Trail 3 blocks from our gate. There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the picnic shelter. There is a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for protection due to a drop-off & undercut banks. ATV's are idle in - idle out. QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them and not leave them unattended. LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights. CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 9 AM and 8 PM. BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef jerky for sale (this cow was treated as a pet until her time & was dispatched on the farm to avoid stress). We occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens. Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them. If you prefer, we have 6 bare-bones fishermen's cabins. All the details are on my Tamihi Meadows site under "Cabins".

The Trailer Trash Tacky Shack Cabin

PLEASE IGNORE THE MAP AS IT IS NOT ACCURATE & I can't change it. YOU MUST READ THE ENTIRE AD AND AGREE TO ALL RULES BEFORE BOOKING! Overlooking River rapids, & on a small site next to The Chick Inn, & is a 50's trailer-like cabin. Think insulated tent with fairy lights! This cabin is a tiny (8 x 14’). NO ELECTRICITY OR WIFI! There is a foot-powered sink, wood stove, table & chairs & queen bed. There is a picnic table under a gazebo, 2 chairs, a fire pit & solar fairy lights (which are limited to the amount of charge they get). There is a (non-potable) water tap in the campground. Some have been getting drinking water from the waterfall/creek 3 blocks before our gate for years, but I'm not allowed to say it's good water so I won't. ***You require a sheet to cover the bed & bedding as well as camping supplies including toilet paper, (pls don't leave in the porta potty as mice will shred it & it gets too damp). The porta potty is across from the cabin & is shared with 2 other cabins. This is for quiet, nature lovers only that will leave our wilderness as they found it. This is not suitable for finicky people, clean freaks or whiners. It's a place to relax in serenity. Music or noise shouldn’t be loud enough to be heard by others. This is NOT a place to drink heavily or get stoned. Please don't book if this is upsetting to you. This is located in our Tamihi Meadows campground, in deep forest, 20 minutes from town. There are many ATV roads and trails, just outside our gate. Our beach is like a lake on the left in summer, great for swimming, & exc. fishing on the right. Our gentle, calm horses free range on our property. Most have decent cell service. ***PLEASE INQUIRE 1ST IF THE CABIN IS AVAILABLE as it is also on another site. You can buy firewood here from the camp host @ $9. for a large bag before 8:30 pm. There is only a $15. cleaning fee for a VERY basic FAST clean! If you wish to have it cleaner, let us know & we will do it, & let you know the price. We do charge those that the cleaner charges extra to clean up after to avoid having to up the cleaning fee for everyone. You may hear gunshots in the distance occasionally as there a private shooting range a few blocks away.

Campsite 21 had a nice view of the creek but no privacy with all the fishermen from dawn till dusk along that area of the water. The sites all need more gravel and a stationary fire pit as it makes for tracking in dirt and ash into the trailer especially with pets and kids. All sites look makeshift and are uneven, definitely a rugged camping experience than what provincial camp sites offer even as wilderness camping. Very pretty creek and view of it. Needs more maintenance for the price.

Great private spot! The beach access was easy to get to! However it was very inconvenient that there was no outhouses to use and we had to bring our own toilets. Also was not given any direction to dispose of our waste when it was full, so had to haul it out. Lastly the outhouse was right outside our site and we kept getting wafts of outhouse smell… was not pleasant.

Our site was good, right by the river verycalming. Beautiful sunsets. There is a nice swimmable beach. Go there day time if possible for set up as its dark in the dark. Host is strict about visitors but guess it's her property n can be. If u are responsible n respectful to your neighbors n her property you should not have issues.

Our stay was absolutely lovely! Very private, with patches of sunlight through the trees. The view is every bit as nice as the pictures - probably nicer. The fence guarding the riverbank is not all that nice, but it's nice to have it there to catch anything wayward - the bank is too dangerous to be on, though only five or six feet high. We were lucky enough to have no one nearby so we had a forest and a river all to ourselves. Other campers we met were very nice, and we heard nothing at night - except for the river and nature, of course. No services were available for temporary renters (like us), but there was river water in a large tank we carried back to our site. We will definitely be back to Deborah's.

It was okay. There needs to be upgrading of stuff around. It’s spacious but know there are other campsites rented out that look like people are living there full time.

This was an expensive place considering that there were absolutely zero amenities and the pictures were deceiving in that they did not show that there was a fence between each campsite and the river that stated, “DANGER KEEP OUT! Unstable, and Undercut Banks. The host was nice riding his bike down to our site to let us know that a black bear was roaming through the area. The site was okay, in and of itself, but we would not have chosen it had the pictures shown the fence and signage at each and every campsite along the river. We were very disappointed.

Nice folks and nice spot but did not like that there was no garbage or washrooms. Also the site needed to be kept up more. Lots of tall weeds and grass. Easy fixes and get rid of the entry gate.

The acreage is rustic and in a natural setting. There are residents as well as tourists like us. There are many sites along the river. There is access to a small beach area. It looks like the space could accommodate groups with a large covered patio, however those facilities need work. If you’re looking for a place to spend the night, with or without power, this location will suffice.

It is a beautiful campside. Just out of Vancouver. It was a great stop, next to the Chiliwack River. It was nice that we could buy firewoods and fresh meat to eat. We could really recommend! A part of the final road is unpaved, but good to drive with a RV even when it drizzles.

We just stayed for one night but it was great and I have no complaints. There is a wire fencing up now between the sites and the river for safety reasons as there is a steep drop down to the riverbank and it looks like it could be unsteady. This didnt bother us, but it wasnt shown in the photos. The campground was quiet except for some motorbikes/atvs heard in the distance during the day. The road has quite a lot of potholes, but we were able to make it with our small fibreglass trailer while driving slowly. There are no grates ontop of the firepits for cooking. Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing time watching the eagles fly overhead and listening to the sounds of the river.

Camp spot location right on the river was awesome. We couldn’t be any closer to the water. The site was quite overgrown though. Would suggest someone go through with a weed eater to trim down a lot of the grass. We had to pull a lot of weeds so we had a clear spot for our pop up awning. When we first pulled in on the Friday to camp, we were not greeted at the gate, and found out the sites are not labeled. We had no idea where our site was. We were lucky to run into the host further down the road, who let us know where our spot was. Overall, very nice campsite, and beautiful location. This review is left with hopes the site gets trimmed up ready for the next use. Thank you.

Site L4 had a beautiful view of the river and setting sun. I didn't know that fly fishing was popular here and enjoyed watching the fishermen gracefully casting for fish. A pair of Canada geese were nesting nearby and one morning I saw them out with their 7 goslings! The same morning I watched a doe and her two yearlings walk to the water for a drink. Mergansers also like the river and were fun to watch so bring binoculars! I walked a section of the Trans Canada Trail to get to the Tamihi Rapids Recreation Site and was mesmerized by the white water kayakers in training with their coaches. Tamihi Meadows is unique with a lot of character.

A Hidden Gem by the Chilliwack Rive

We were passing through on our way to Washington and decided to spend the night at Tamihi Meadows—and we're so glad we did! This campsite is a true hidden gem. Nestled right next to the Chilliwack River, it offered a peaceful and scenic place to unwind. The setting is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and the calming sound of the river. A huge thank you to our host, Debbie, who was incredibly accommodating. She responded quickly to my messages, accepted our last-minute reservation, and even helped us switch campsites without any hassle. Her kindness and responsiveness made our short stay even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet and charming spot to camp!

I loved the campsite—the environment was beautiful and peaceful. The host was friendly and welcoming. The private campground offered much more privacy than a provincial campground. Overall, it was a great experience. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy camping. Just be sure to bring your own toilet and water, as these amenities are not provided.

Our stay wad great! Wish it could have been longer, but our time didn't allow for it. Beautiful spot. Great service. If we ever go back to BC, we would want to stay again. Deborah and team was super accommodating, when our arrival time changed. Thanks for a great place to call home for a couple days.
