Camping is open and the weather is beautiful! Enjoy the beautiful acres right on the Chilliwack River! A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. (no pets allowed for glamping) Our camp sites are great for anyone wanting to camp, including groups. Walk in tenting only. We have Glamping tents as well - we provide everything except your food, drinks and personal items! They are situated beside the river, with a eating bar overlooking the river and with beautiful views. For the romantic couple - but we also can accomodate a small child (inquire). Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire) The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk. We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi that you can use. Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug. We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, wine tastings and more! The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here. We look forward to hosting you!

We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning. Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway. We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas. There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef jerky for sale (this cow was treated as a pet until her time & was dispatched on the farm to avoid stress). We occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens. Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! Weekend Trip to Hayward Farms

Brent and Sherri are kind hosts who made sure we had a good fire pit and pine cones for our kiddos to throw into the fire. This was very special for our families. Additionally: -Each site had its own portapotty which is nice for privacy. -The trail down to the lake was fun for our families and the lake is beautiful. Nice bench at the end. -We were given a complimentary 5 gal water jug.

Weekend Trip to Hayward Farms

We really enjoyed the quiet and secluded feel of this camp site, without being far from amenities! Site 4 was awesome, we loved the outdoor kitchen and cozy feeling of the tent! The area is clean and safe! They have corn hole set up, my wife and I really enjoyed it for something to do away from screens! Recommend the trail behind the stable, it goes to a beautiful lake access and bridge! Brent and Sherri are great hosts, very helpful and just a quick message away if you have any questions! We would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle without having to travel too far!

The cabin has a lot of more amenities that the host didn't even mentioned on the website. Michael has put a lot of attention to the details to make our trip easier. (A family of fives with infants). The BBQ set works well, the campfire is fun and the trail on the property is pretty well maintained. Would definitely visit again next year.

We loved camping on Mirco’s Petting Farm. The farm has lots of animals you can pet and feed and our little daughter enjoyed it so much. We definitely recommend the camping spots to anyone who is looking to enjoy peace and quiet, nature and listening to crackling fire under starry nights.

Leah and Caleb are great hosts and are very accommodating. Plus we met their dog, Marley, who our little toddlers' highlight of the trip! The RV is cozy, roomy and complete with the basics. We need to bring our own beddings and bottled water which is communicated ahead. The site feels private and we love being surrounded with nature.There is about 30 minute trail (toddlers steps) through Hayward lake reservoir trail. We enjoyed having to axe precut wood for campfire. My husband and I were thinking to get a trailer camper van in the future and this experience is a good way to find out if we really want it. Thanks for the stay!

We had such a fantastic stay at Meadows Family Farm this weekend! We came with our 4-year-old daughter, Isobel, and our dog, Hazel, and it couldn't have been a better first camping experience for our little one. The price was excellent, the campsites were great, and having such easy access to all the farm activities made the whole weekend really special. Isobel absolutely loved meeting the animals and exploring the farm, and it was wonderful seeing how much there was for families to do. The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for making great family memories. We'd happily recommend Meadows Family Farm to anyone looking for a fun, affordable family camping trip, and we're already looking forward to coming back!

Renting the Pioneer Cabin was a lovely experience. Amenities/bathroom/shower access was very convenient and considering it was a bit of a rainier weekend, the cute fireplace made it very cozy. Will definitely be back.

About

This wilderness park is named for Sa:sq’ets, a supernatural caretaker who watches over the lands and who later got the name Sasquatch, or Bigfoot, in western mythology. Set in a narrow valley near the popular resort community of Harrison Hot Springs, Sasquatch Provincial Park includes four small lakes, all great for trout fishing and canoeing, as well as lots of winding creeks and marshlands. Wildlife includes beaver, deer, bears, woodpeckers, and red-breasted sapsuckers. The 177-site park has three campgrounds on two lakes with basic amenities including pit toilets and running water. The park is located in the traditional territory of the Chehalis, Yale, and Stó:Lo Nations.

Best for families: Lakeside Campground on Deer Lake for the dock, playground, beach, and interpretive trail
Best for bird watchers: Bench Campground for the nearby trail for bird watching
Best for wildlife viewing: Hicks Lake for the canoe and kayak on rentals

Tips for snagging a campsite

Reservations are recommended from mid-May to September and must be booked through the Discover Camping Reservation Service.
If you’re visiting weekends or holidays (Canada Day, BC Day, and Labour Day) secure a spot as far in advance of your trip as possible.
You may be able to score one of the limited numbers of first-come, first-served spots, especially mid-week, if you show up right after check-out time at 11am.
There is one group site on Hicks Lake that can be reserved in advance.

When to go

Sasquatch Provincial Park is open for camping year-round. If you’re looking for sun you’ll want to visit in July or August. This is also the busy season, as summer vacation starts at the end of June. Those seeking a quieter experience will be better off on weekdays when schools are in session, during May, June, and September. The lakes are warmest for swimming in August.

Know before you go

Mosquitos and swimmer’s itch can both be irritations at this park.
Boil water advisories are occasionally in effect, so check the quality of water in advance and bring extra fuel or enough of your own water.
Canoe and kayak rentals are available at Hicks Lake—the park has a launch and dock.
Sasquatch Park is 7 kilometres from the nearby town of Harrison Hot Springs, which is worth a visit for its namesake hot springs, small Sasquatch museum, and restaurants.
