Cabin was not ready for guests!
We did not stay here after being in it for half hour. Its clear a lot of passion has gone into the build of the cabin but the place is NOT finished: missing wall panels, visible insulation but more importantly, it hadn't been properly cleaned in AGES. My asthma immediately got triggered being in there. There were mud tracks all over the floors, dust everywhere including on the bedsheets, cobwebs, shower unusable, fridge racks moldy, freezer packed with meat with no room to spare, entryway outside the cabin is a mess of piles of lumber, tools and random items strewn about. Had a hard time leaving the driveway because there was no room for the car to turn properly. Had to do a 9 point turn & kept getting out of car to move pieces of wood that kept falling on our car!
It's clear the host did not have enough time to clean up & haven't hosted anyone in there in a long time. It was a last minute booking since we booked the night before, but host really should have denied the booking!
The ad says to experience farm life & makes it sound much quainter than what was actually provided. I inquired about the sheep, but host didn't show where they actually were nor were there any discernible path to them. The host gave us a broom and a spongy mop to clean up. After 15 minutes of attempting to clean the floors ourselves with inadequate tools, we thought it ridiculous as paying customers to be deep cleaning for the host and promptly left.
Thankfully, got a refund!
