Camping is open and the weather is beautiful! Enjoy the beautiful acres right on the Chilliwack River! A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. (no pets allowed for glamping) Our camp sites are great for anyone wanting to camp, including groups. Walk in tenting only. We have Glamping tents as well - we provide everything except your food, drinks and personal items! They are situated beside the river, with a eating bar overlooking the river and with beautiful views. For the romantic couple - but we also can accomodate a small child (inquire). Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire) The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk. We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi that you can use. Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug. We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, wine tastings and more! The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here. We look forward to hosting you!

Fireside is spacious and great for small groups. Located riverside, as well as beside the forest. There is fencing, for added security. Mountain views galore. Enjoy over 2 beautiful acres right on the Chilliwack River! A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. We have LOTS of available sites throughout the summer - most weekends are still available. PLEASE NOTE,  We are pet friendly but your pet should be under 30 pounds, well trained, and family-friendly. If you're unsure about the weight, please send me a message. Pets must be kept on a leash and attended to at all times and you must always clean up after your pet. Our place is a wonderful escape from the city and you can either relax or set up for an adventurous weekend! The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in, tenting only campground. Parking is a 30 second walk from the sites. (to keep it pristine) Camp riverside on a beautiful acreage setting, nestled in the mountains, beside the forest. Reconnect with nature and breathe in the fresh forest air. Leisurely riverside walks, eagle spotting, world-class fishing, all the outdoor fun, river rafting, relaxing, hiking, biking, and private beach, all here! Sleep with the sound of the river (no traffic sounds) and gaze at the night stars (no light pollution here!). Cultus Lake is a short drive (water slides, amusement park, boating, paddleboarding, hikes, yummy restaurants, etc). Day trips to Harrison Lake, Bridal Falls, Fraser Canyon. World-class hiking to Mount Cheam, Chipmunk Caves and Lindeman Lake; many other excellent hikes close by. Full-day whitewater rafting adventures are available in the area. We have added an outdoor shower and wash-up (dishes, etc) area!!! We have a clean porta-potty on-site that is serviced at least once per week and sanitized daily. Campers can easily social distance if needed. We have set covid 19 safety standards to keep you safe. Electrical power available (limited to evening use). Guests can enjoy our pure artisan spring water!! We do have 2 pugs and our neighbour has a large yellow lab who comes over unannounced; they are a bit free-range and both friendly; Let us know if you have any concerns about dogs and we will keep them away. Each site has its own fire pit. We look forward to hosting you, your family, or your group on our property!

James & Lisa were absolutely lovely hosts! They were kind, welcoming, and very helpful. Their property is absolutely gorgeous and in close proximity to all the great hiking spots. Having the ability to soak tired feet in the river just steps from their property and then enjoy an evening fire was a dream. Not to mention they will provide firewood for just $10 CAD. Would absolutely stay here again!

My husband and I have stayed at many campsites over the years, and we usually prefer private camping locations. Without a doubt, this was one of the most beautiful and memorable places we have ever experienced. First, we want to thank James for the incredible care and attention he has put into every detail a camper could need. This property truly feels like a little piece of paradise along the Chilliwack River. The site was exceptionally clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully maintained. The hot shower, sink, and wagon for transporting gear made our stay much more comfortable and convenient. We also loved that there was virtually no light pollution, allowing us to enjoy a sky full of stars at night. The sound of the river was incredibly relaxing during the day and made falling asleep at night even more enjoyable. This campsite was worth far more than what we paid, and we would happily return again. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a private, peaceful, and unforgettable camping experience. Thank you, James, for sharing such a special place with us. We look forward to coming back!

Had a wonderful stay camping at James and Lisa's beautiful property! The river was absolutely gorgeous and the surrounding area was peaceful and scenic. Very beautiful property with a super sweet family hosting! This was my second time camping here, and it was amazing both times :) We plan to continue returning and highly recommend it! The hosts have clearly put a lot of time and effort into every detail, and it really shows throughout the property. We had a great time camping here and would come back in a heartbeat! The area was beautiful and was right by the river, and the campsites were large and well-maintained. The provided amenities like the dishwashing station, clean outhouses, and wagons for moving supplies made our trip super comfortable. And of course the friendly dogs made it even better!

I loved glamping on Lisa and James’ land! They are wonderful hosts, and I felt very welcome and comfortable during my stay. The property is beautiful - right by the river with mountain views you can enjoy from your private deck. The tent was amazing too! It’s set amongst the trees, which provide perfect shade on a hot, sunny day. I had everything I needed to cook, relax, and enjoy myself.

James and Lisa (and Zeus the dog!) were truly fantastic hosts, giving us a warm welcome into their beautiful and well-equipped campsite area. It was our 4-year-old's first camping experience, and I'd say she had a blast. Being so close to the Chilliwack River and having the chance to enjoy those stunning views is one of the things that make camping at Living Large so great. We would love to go back next summer and would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a wonderful family camping experience!

The Living Large Camping area is beautiful and well kept. The owners are friendly and genuine. It is a very clean and well kept area. We will come back for sure! Note this is a walk-in camping space with parking close by.

We had a wonderful stay. The river was beautiful and we loved swimming in it during the heat wave. James and Lisa are wonderful hosts. Loved all the extras at the site -- the outdoor shower stall, the dish cleaning area. They went the extra mile for their guests. They brought out a mister/hose for the kids to play with during a heat wave, loaned some other campers a tent when theirs malfunctioned, and even clean their portapotties daily. This was our first hipcamp experience and we would stay there again. When we were camped there, the high was 35 degrees in chilliwack and we loved how much cooler it was by the river. It got surprisingly chilly at night -- bring layers!

What a great spot :) overlooking the river, as advertised. The shower and the washing station was amazing to have! Loved the sound of the river flowing by at night! The host is very friendly and really has put his heart into this property. It is located on his property but honestly, far enough away from the house that you wouldn’t really know. The visits from the local dogs was great and they were friendly and well behaved. Next time we are hoping to try the glamping tents! Absolutely beautiful inside! Thanks again… We will be back :)

I had a good time tent camping here — the views were gorgeous, and the hosts were very kind and attentive. One thing I wish I had known ahead of time is that the campsite is essentially in someone’s backyard, which wasn’t fully clear from the listing. A little more clarity would’ve helped with expectations. Overall, it was a peaceful stay and I appreciated the hospitality.

We had a great time at this site. It is a beautiful location next to the river with lots of space for our kids to play. Let it be said, however, that this site is in someone's backyard. You have to walk behind their house which is visible from the camp spots. Also in close proximity to lots of other campers.

This camping spot was a lovely experience for our family. We loved having the river right next to our campsite, and all of the little touches that make it so welcoming. For example, we loved having access to the shower, the ease of the dishwashing station, and the cleanliness of the porta potties. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and came in to check in on us a couple of times to see if we needed anything. On our second night, it rained, and they even offered us extra tarps. All in all, this was a wonderful location and we would love to be back.

I had a relaxing stay Living Large on the Chilliwack river . Lisa and James are thoughtful hosts. Their back yard is maintained very well. They have quite a few pitches in their space — but I got to enjoy the whole area as I was the only one there on my visit. The access to the river is amazing. They have a hot shower, porta potties, fire pits, a sink and offer fire wood. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

Great host. On top of things. Having electricity and running water close by was great. Shower is down by the tents but the washroom is up the hill by the parking. Bring a long extension cord so you can have it a bit closer to your tent. Otherwise was a great stay.

What a lovely site! We stayed at Willow, which was right at the river. Every day around 2pm we would see rafters and kayakers adventuring through the rapids. Folks go fishing throughout the day, as well. It was seriously cool watching people enjoy the outdoors. Lots of places to explore and nap along the river. The site is clearly well-loved. Grass is well-maintained all around the property. When do they have time to do this between so many bookings??? Tent sites share some amenities with the glamping sites, so you get access to a hot shower and restroom accommodations that are clean and well-maintained. Flowering bushes and berry bushes all around. Big, lovely trees. The hosts Lisa and James are precious as heck, and it shows in their care for the space and the visitors. The site is shielded from morning and evening sun, so just be aware to stash your cold items during high noon. Tent spots flat and soft, again, on perfect grass. Some excellent wildlife viewing, as well. Saw and heard over a dozen different species of birds in the area. I would have been perfectly content to lounge about the campgrounds, but Chilliwack and Cultus Lakes are must-see venues. Do yourself a favor and relax at this peaceful venue!
