We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning. Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway. We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas. There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Site 6 is located at the top of our property, behind the stables. It is fairly private and is next to the trail that leads down to Hayward Lake. Once section of the trail is fairly steep, so be careful. There is no sandy beach; it is a forested access to the lake. Once you are in the water…it’s great! NOTE: The BC Hydro Floating Dock is open - you can now hike around the entire Hayward Lake (18km)…or do a partial hike. Site 6 is next to Site 5 and is therefore a good spot for multiple families if both spots are available for booking! You can fit 3 smaller tents on this site (if needed) and you can move the picnic table to make the site suit your needs. The toilet is a shared outhouse with Site 5.

Site 5 is located behind our stables, next to Site 6 and near the entrance to the trail to the lake. It is perfect for two tents and two vehicles. Sites 5 and 6 are next to each other and are good spots to book if you have a larger party. Note that the neighbour's home is within view through the trees, however it is still fairly private and we have had excellent reviews of this site. Note that there is a fairly steep part of the trail down to the lake, so take care when hiking down. The lake access itself is a forest access. There is no sandy beach area here. If you have young children you can take them across the street to the Stave River where there is more of a gradual water entry. The bathroom is an outhouse that is shared with Site 6. Please be sure to bring your own toilet paper!

Site 1 is located nearer the bottom of our driveway on the deep flat corner. There are spectacular views and sunsets. This site is not recommended for children given the steep slopes nearby. It is a short walk down the driveway where you can access the river which is perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. The next closest campsite is about 500 feet away. Given that this site is on our driveway, please expect the occasional car to drive by. We have upgraded the bathroom from a composting toilet to a portable toilet with sanitizing station. At the top of the property you can hike down the trail behind the stables to get to the lake. The BC Hydro floating dock is open again and so you are able to hike around the entire Hayward Lake (18km). PLEASE NOTE; Site 5 and 6 are better suited for children.

This site is located about halfway up our 3/4 km driveway. It is a nice flat pullout spot on one of the hairpin corners on the driveway. It is perfect for a couple tents or a vehicle with a roof tent. You have views of the Stave River and amazing sunsets. Easy access to the Stave River by walking down the driveway and crossing the street to the trail. Expect the occasional car to drive by. Nearest other site is about 300 ft away. We have upgraded from a composting toilet to a portable toilet with a sanitizing station. Access to the lake is a 5 minute walk up the driveway and then a 3 minute walk down the trail to the lake. The BC Hydro floating dock is now open, so you can now hike around beautiful Hayward Lake (18km trip). PLEASE NOTE; We do not recommend this site for children. Site 5 and 6 are better suited for them.

Large site on the deep lawn area of our house and is fenced in. Has some privacy but the main house is in view. Close to garden and farm animals. Cedar Picnic Table and composting toilet tent. The favorite spot of many campers who have young kids as the area is fenced in. Access to the trail for the lake is a 1 minute walk away (just behind the stables). Note there are no hookups. It is best to bring your own drinking water Can hold a group of up to 10 people, however additional guests of over 4 adults is $12 per guest per night. Also $10 per night for each vehicle over 2 vehicles No dogs allowed on this site.

NEW Glamp Site - Summer 2025!! Site for up to 2 adults only. (We have made exceptions for parents and teens or small families. Please contact us for these adjustments.) Situated at the top of our property, this site backs up against a small hill and trees with a view of our field and old chicken coop. The field is quite flat with tall grass. Young apple and cherry trees are situated along the outside edge of the area, which leads to other camp sites. This site includes a large canvas bell tent (with covering fly), placed on a 20x26 deck, which has a queen sized bed, 2 coffee chairs, a wicker dresser filled with activities/books/spare sheets/towels, a couch and fun paper lanterns fitted with fairy lights . On the deck you will find an outdoor storage unit which includes cooking supplies, a basic first aid kit, bug spray, propane burner and a sink. We have supplied coffee/tea, powdered milk and sugar. There is also a picnic table, upgraded porta-potty bathroom, 2 fire pits (traditional plus a propane ring), camping chairs, a foam cooler, propane fridge/freezer, garbage bin and recycling bin. At night time solar lights will provide a dimly lit area for you. There is no power hookup and no plumbed water on site. ALTHOUGH, we do have a solar charger to use upon request. We also provide a full 5 gallon water container for you, which is from a local artesian spring which comes off a hillside. Water can be replenished by simply sending us a text. Hayward Lake is a 5 minute hike down a forest / animal trail through Crown land. On the Hayward Street side is the Stave River where you can swim, paddle boarding or kayak. Just a 1 minutes drive from the property is a public parking lot that leads to a beach area with a designated swimming area in Hayward Lake. Just be certain to get there early! There are many amenities within 3 minutes from the property, including 4 gas stations (cheap gas), beer and wine store, Starbucks, Triple O's, Tim Horton's and Fresh Slice Pizza. Mission City is only 10 minutes away should you need to go shopping. We have a Walmart, Superstore, Save On Foods and a Freshco to name a few. Simply bring your food and toiletries and you are good to go! Coffee and tea are provided.

Site was very clean and accessible. Site 5 and 6 are very close together, so not a ton of privacy but our neighbors were quiet. Very close to the trail leading down to the water. We enjoyed our stay!

Brent and Sherri are kind hosts who made sure we had a good fire pit and pine cones for our kiddos to throw into the fire. This was very special for our families. Additionally: -Each site had its own portapotty which is nice for privacy. -The trail down to the lake was fun for our families and the lake is beautiful. Nice bench at the end. -We were given a complimentary 5 gal water jug.

Glamping at site 4

We really enjoyed the quiet and secluded feel of this camp site, without being far from amenities! Site 4 was awesome, we loved the outdoor kitchen and cozy feeling of the tent! The area is clean and safe! They have corn hole set up, my wife and I really enjoyed it for something to do away from screens! Recommend the trail behind the stable, it goes to a beautiful lake access and bridge! Brent and Sherri are great hosts, very helpful and just a quick message away if you have any questions! We would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle without having to travel too far!

We had an awesome stay at Brent and Sherri’s campsite! It was the perfect base for exploring the surrounding lakes and having the on-site access way down to the lake was a really nice bonus also. The private portaloo, fire pit and water available on site made everything easy and comfortable. We’d happily stay here again!

It was a breathtaking view and Hayward lake was so beautiful! Brent and Sherri were also super welcoming and helpful. The Porto potty was a nice touch and they provided water as well. Site 2 little spot for my solo camping trip. Could definitely fit a few more people comfortably though.

Brent and Sherri’s campsite was absolutely everything we could have wanted. The property is well maintained, the wood they provided were dry thick pieces. Exploring the trail and surrounding areas was very easy. Highly recommend booking sites 5 or 6!

What a fantastic find this campsite was! The short walk to the lake made swimming and enjoying the scenic views incredibly convenient. Our site itself was perfectly tucked away, offering a lovely sense of seclusion. The owner was very welcoming and friendly; you can really tell he and his wife have put so much care into creating such a wonderful place. I highly recommend this site for a private and relaxing escape!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Hayward Farms! Brent and Sherri were wonderful hosts, and they were very helpful and responsive to any questions we had about the property and the surrounding area. Even though the site was right off the road up to their property, we did not feel like our privacy was invaded in any way. It was a peaceful site with an amazing view! We would definitely stay there again.

If you’ve never camped before, this can be your starting point owing to the private porta potty. The communication with the hosts was excellent and they gave us plenty of tips & information. However, contrary to the listing, this site (& site 1 & 3) are basically hard shoulders on their drive way which is certainly not 3/4 kms from where we drove up. You can pretty much see the road below. There isn’t an odd vehicle or 2 (as mentioned in the description) in fact we felt like we saw a road show of every make of car on the 1 full day we had on the site. The first morning we were woken up EARLY with the noisiest heavy machinery moving the gravel around, followed by an hour’s break & then some more heavy machinery. That + the car show & by the evening a manual rake clean up the same drive way while we cooked & ate & tried to nap! We live by the beach in downtown Vancouver & encounter far less noise or traffic. To add to this we were informed there will be construction a night before our arrival! TBH, we didn’t find any peace or quiet & did leave by noon the next day because we were so tired from the noise the previous evening! The hosts msgd if we would leave the property & they’ll schedule some of the work but we weren’t camping to be on our phones! Sites 1 & 3 were not occupied & this could be done on Sunday after we left not on THE ONLY day we were there for the ENTIRETY of it. Frankly, its disrespectful. They should’ve blocked the calendar & not taken resos for those days!

We really enjoyed the location of the site, it was tucked away and felt very private. The hosts were super friendly and quick to respond to any inquiries that I had before arriving! However, a majority of our day was spent listening to a loud machine working on the field next to us. The host did give us a heads up day of about this noise, but we were told that it would only be a 10-15 minute disturbance. Unfortunately it did take away from the peaceful quiet aspect that we were wanting out of our camping trip. If we had a quiet experience then I would give this a 5 star rating! It definitely took away from our experience (we were woken up on Sunday morning by the sound of someone working right next to our site at 9am). They are doing lots of construction on this property so be sure to confirm whether there will be any loud machinery before booking, if peaceful is what you’re going for!

We had a fantastic camping experience with Brent and Sherri! The campsite was beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. We really enjoyed the easy access to the lake, nearby hiking trails, and all the nature around the property — perfect for a relaxing outdoor getaway with family. Brent and Sherri were amazing hosts throughout our stay. They checked in on us, brought water when needed, and were always just a message away if we needed anything. Their hospitality truly made the experience even better. Overall, a great camping spot with wonderful hosts. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy nature, hiking, and a relaxing camping experience!

Great hosts very responsive and brought firewood and extra water immediately. Scenic site with a connection to Hayward trail. The sniff spots are also a great addition for dogs to explore and play. There are chickens and ducks nearby for kids. The porta potties are a nice touch.

Great little spot to camp! Loved the water view and the short walk to the lake. Didn’t have any neighbours on site 1 which was nice. The hosts helped us get some firewood as we didn’t have any. And gave us a 5 gallon of water which was nice! We did hear some trains/fast cars overnight from the highway across the water. But overall a great stay for the long weekend.
