We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning.
Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Our camp sites are great for anyone wanting to camp, including groups.

We have Glamping tents as well - we provide everything except your food, drinks and personal items! They are situated beside the river, with a eating bar overlooking the river and with beautiful views. For the romantic couple - but we also can accomodate a small child (inquire).
Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire)
The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk.
We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi that you can use.
Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug.
We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, wine tastings and more!
The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here.

The Forest Sanctuary Bell Tent is our newest addition at Forest Sanctuary and is located within the beautiful Forest Sanctuary Campground in Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast. The Bell Tent is set up and ready to use. It's cozy and spacious and can accommodate up to 8 people. Bring your own sleeping bags and sleeping mats or mattresses and you're ready to go. Within you'll find one futon for 2 with sheets, blankets and pillows provided.
Renting the Bell Tent offers use of all amenities that Forest Sanctuary has to offer. We have a covered communal outdoor kitchen and lounge with all cookware, dishware and utensils provided. Barbecue and Coleman stove with propane provided. We have a great communal fire pit where you can meet fellow campers from around the world. Also included are solar showers and a great open air outhouse. Drinking water is provided. Firewood can be purchased onsite for when campfires are permitted. Propane fire pits are available for rent.
The property also has a great camping cabin and level grass forest campsites. I can accommodate large groups and private events and parties. Feel free to ask me about them.
A sauna care of PranaSauna is available for rent, and when combined with a cold plunge in our aquifer fed pond it makes for a great rejuvenating experience.
There is direct access to world class mountain bike trails right from the property.
Please note we are 2 km up a well maintained gravel road.

Plenty of opportunity for walks, bike rides and runs. We are 15 minutes from Slocan lake and Valhalla Provincial Park which offers stunning hiking, climbing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and just relaxing on the beach.
The Slocan river boasts lots of secret bathing spots for the adventurous explorer.

Weekend Trip to Hayward Farms
We've stayed at Hayward more than a dozen times over the years, and this was our 2nd time in the new Bell tent. It's a great option to just grab the essentials and head off for quick weekend getaway without bringing all of the usual camping gear. Brent and Sherri are such wonderful hosts who are always just a message away if you ever need anything.

We had a great time staying in our Tent - the Bugaboo. Location was great and very peaceful. Just amazing to wake up in the outdoors and having such facilities. We were able to use it as a base to explore Yoho park and the Radium hot springs. We only stayed a couple of days, but when time came to leave we wished we could stay longer. We even made friends with the people staying in the other tents. Katherine was so kind and accommodating by lending us some bedding since we arrived with nothing and were a bit last minute. Both Katherine and Adrien were incredible hosts and came to see us to say hello before we left. Would definitely recommend! Thank you

1 night at Forest Sanctuary Bell Tent
We had an absolute blast staying at Christian's camp! It's truly amazing what Christian has done with the property—everything is beautifully maintained, and you can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into creating such a peaceful retreat.
The camp is quiet, relaxing, and the perfect place to unwind. We especially appreciated that so many essentials were already provided, which meant we didn't have to pack or carry a lot of extra gear.
Christian is a wonderful host—friendly, welcoming, and committed to making sure guests have a great experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Christian's camp to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing getaway. We can't wait to come back!

The individuals responsible for our stay took considerable care to ensure that our designated camping area was both pleasant and meticulously clean, and they thoughtfully provided us with all the necessities required for a truly comfortable experience.

Weekend Trip to Bear Spring Glamping
We had an incredible weekend glamping at Bear Spring! It's a really beautiful and peaceful spot with the sweetest guard dog, Bella.
There's plenty to keep you entertained with a big communal space, darts, yard games (we particularly enjoyed the corn hole) and a kitchen stocked up with all utensils you need.
The tents are roomy and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep.
Our host Solita was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. She also let us pick fresh raspberries and peas from the garden!
Would highly recommend and are already planning our next trip to Bear Spring!

We really enjoyed the quiet and secluded feel of this camp site, without being far from amenities!
Site 4 was awesome, we loved the outdoor kitchen and cozy feeling of the tent!
The area is clean and safe!
They have corn hole set up, my wife and I really enjoyed it for something to do away from screens!
Recommend the trail behind the stable, it goes to a beautiful lake access and bridge!
Brent and Sherri are great hosts, very helpful and just a quick message away if you have any questions!
We would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle without having to travel too far!

Katherine is such an amazing host! Our bear spray was accidentally tipped over and it sprayed in the tent and left a stain on the blanket. We did not know that it left stains.
Katherine was cleaning up the tent the next day and got it on the hands and face. She reached out to understand the situation and was not upset. We still feel so bad sorry Katherine! We also forgot our spare keys at the campground and she went to the post office multiple times to figure out how to ship it to us back in the states.
We were troublesome campers but they were very accommodating throughout. The kitchen and shower and toilet were also very clean.

We make enjoying the outdoors easy! Make lasting memories with a hassle free glamping getaway with us. We had a total of 6 adults and 6 children, and Christian took the best care after us and made sure we had everything we need. We will be coming back as it was a pleasent experience.

What a wonderful weekend we just had in Christian's forest hideout! This was a real labor of love kind of place you only ever read about in old travel magazines and think it doesn't exist in reality. Well, it does. Our family had a great time and the bell tent was spacious and all the sites are private and quiet. The communal kitchen is charming and really has anything you need. Christian is a great host and will make sure you're all set up with everything you need to have the best experience, can't thank him enough!

We had a fantastic time at Christian's forest campsite. Beautiful camping in a magical forest. Out girls had a blast running around and watching the frogs and fish in the pond. We'll be back :)
