We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning.
Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

We have Glamping tents as well - we provide everything except your food, drinks and personal items! They are situated beside the river, with a eating bar overlooking the river and with beautiful views. For the romantic couple - but we also can accomodate a small child (inquire).
Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. (then you can have a propane campfire)
The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk.
We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi that you can use.
Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug.
We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, cold plunge and sauna retreats, wine tastings and more!
The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here.

The Forest Sanctuary Bell Tent is our newest addition at Forest Sanctuary and is located within the beautiful Forest Sanctuary Campground in Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast. The Bell Tent is set up and ready to use. All you need to bring are your sleeping bags and sleeping mats or mattresses.
Renting the Bell Tent offers use of all amenities that Forest Sanctuary has to offer. We have a communal covered outdoor kitchen and lounge with all cookware, dishware and utensils provided. Barbecue and Coleman stove with propane provided. We have a great communal fire pit where you can meet fellow campers from around the world. I loved glamping on Lisa and James’ land! They are wonderful hosts, and I felt very welcome and comfortable during my stay. The property is beautiful - right by the river with mountain views you can enjoy from your private deck.

We loved our time on Christian's stunning plot of land! The common kitchen area was well stocked and a fantastic place to socialise with the other guests. The tent we rented was very spacious and a perfect place to rest at the end of a beautiful day in the area.
Christian was very accommodating with our requests such as lending us his portable toilet and was fun to hang out with around the fire pit in the evening. Would definitely recommend and consider returning!

Weekend Trip to Woodland at The Shamba
This property felt very private for us! There’s a 2 minute walk down the trail to the tent area, pretty easy to get your stuff there if you’re used to trail walking. Lots of fresh fruit and granola bars provided for us! The toilet is very simple but clean and fine for a couple nights. We brought all the necessary camping equipment minus a tent and sleeping bags. You will need outdoor chairs, a stove, cooler and other camping essentials. This was pretty obvious given the description and reviews so don’t be shocked when it’s just a bed and table! Overall we really liked the area and the tent and bedding were clean and very comfortable, had a great stay!

4 nights at Woodland at The Shamba
Mielle was a wonderful host. The land was peaceful and lush. The bell tent was clean and spacious.
A few things for future visitors:
The forest is quite humid so the tent has a slight musk smell. We had one exceptionally hot day during our stay and that dried out the tent enough to clear the air but otherwise it is a bit damp. Not unpleasant enough to bother us but slightly noticeable.
Also it is definitely an off-grid tent which is wonderful for those who want to unplug. The host is also very generous and gave us access to a trailer they have on the property that had a flush toilet, electricity and running water.
Some things to note: the tent site is a short distance from the parking so you’ll have to pack in and pack out. There is a ravine in the middle so if you are bringing in a lot of supplies for camping, this will take some time. This site is better suited as an eco-bed and breakfast than a camping site as there is no picnic table, which makes cooking and food preparation challenging. Still, as campers we made it work.
Also worth noting, the composting toilet is actually a bucket but as mentioned, our host gave us access to a trailer with a flush toilet.
Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend this site to others.

My son and his friend had such a fantastic time staying at Brent and Sherri’s campsite! From the very start, Sherri and Brent were incredibly helpful, friendly, and extremely accommodating. Their communication was amazing — always quick to respond and willing to answer any questions. They truly went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable.
The boys especially loved having kayaks available to rent, which became one of the highlights of their trip. They had so much fun out on the water.
I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out, and my son couldn’t stop talking about how great it was. I would 100% recommend staying at Hayward Farms, we will definitely be booking with them again. Thanks again for everything !

Weekend Trip to Hangin' Loose in Sicamous U Pick
We booked the yurt (lot #5 I think) close to the river and my sister and I (both Queenagers) really enjoyed the experience! We had everything we could possibly have needed, from dishes - bring your own mugs & french press if you make coffee - to bedding. The king mattress (Kingsdown) was superb, the area was quiet (the trains lulled us to sleep and were not at all intrusive in noise levels) and Jared helped us when we needed a charger boost for devices. Our only note would be that access to the fast-running river nearby is almost like a ladder; not without risks for little ones or those of us hoping to kayak. That's okay - we went to nearby Flocky's Beach to put in. The nearby Dutchman's Dairy is not to be missed (more flavours of ice cream than you can count) although if you're coming from Kelowna, you'll drive past Hangin' Loose a few times before you know where to turn off the highway. Slow down if you can to turn left and find it. But again, the yurt experience (our first!) was exceptional. And way less in price than many other such offerings.

We love the site, super cute and cozy! Beds are comfy everything was nice and clean. The outhouse however is way over due for a service, it is disturbingly full. The caretaker, Bronte was lovely and super helpful, they have super cute and friendly dogs that greeted us at the driveway. We would 100% stay here again :)

My daughter (14) and I loved our overnight getaway in The Grove Glamp Site (Site 4).
Communication was prompt, friendly and helpful prior, it was very easy to find, and both Brent and Sherri briefly checked in once on site to ensure we knew how to use everything and had what we needed.
The site and tent itself are spacious, clean, peaceful, and beautiful. Everything was very comfortable and easy - we just had to pack our food and clothed and show up! There were even a few games provided.
The short hike to the lake was totally manageable and we loved hopping the floating bridges and dipping our feet in the water.
Bring a sleep mask and earplugs so the sun nor the rooster wake you up and you’re golden!

2 nights at Woodland at The Shamba
What a dream come true! I was looking for a nature getaway that was in the elements & also alluring // smooth on logistics (without the noise of public campgrounds, *ideally*). Mielle’s lotus tent in the cedar forest was *MUCH* more than we bargained for!
I adore cooking while camping (food always tastes best outside), so we brought a camp stove & filled the cooler with delicious local eats, yet didn’t have to worry about setting up a tent —> instead had a glorious, clean, spacious yurt to kick our feet up on a comfortable bed after exploring so many gems & adventures Salt Spring Island has to offer!
Mielle was a -very kind & gracious- host.. there was fresh fruits & snacks upon arrival, clean drinking water, as well as an incredible surprise greeting from her 3yr old Bernese Mountain dog who brightened our stay beyond measure :D
Can’t recommend this place enough; hope to be back some day!
