We had a fantastic time, three nights at Elderberry Campsite. The site is tucked away on the property and surrounding by wildflowers with lots of privacy. There's a huge tank with drinking water, a picnic table, and a neat and clean compost toilet. Navit was a super inspiring person, very hospitable and fun. She's setting up an amazing project on her farm and has done a lot of work with flowers, vegetables, architecture and design. The place is also close to Victoria (1 hour) and several great beaches/trails like Juan de Fuca. There is no cell service (at least our phones didn't catch a signal) but Navit provides WiFi access for a small area outside near her house. We didn't use it because it's fab to be off the grid for a while and we enjoyed the duck pond, birdies and serenity of the place. We can only highly recommend staying here!
Navit is a very responsive host! His directions were clear and excellent. The site was lovely, comfortable and peaceful.

Cozy and private spot to relax after a day on the coast. Would recommend.
We arrived 3.5 hours after the check-in time. When we arrived at the gate, 2 large livestock guardian dogs greeted us at the gate and would not allow our car to pass through. The neighbour had to assist with controlling the dog. I have a dog (which the place is advertised as pet friendly) and the ad said guardian dogs are behind a fence. The LGD was sniffing my dogs window which made me very nervous as I donât want my dog getting attacked. The place wasnât ready for us and the host came to the site to clean the trailer. Which just involved her sweeping the floor. When she swept she asked if my dog would be sleeping inside and requested that he stay out of the trailer, despite the ad saying pet friendly and no rules listed indicating such. I said I had a tent and she requested I sleep in the tent outside⌠the composting toilet is very stinky as it is not a proper composting toilet (liquids and solids arenât separated) and the door does not close when someone is in there, so there is a mirror for people walking up to see you having a poop, incase you arenât interested in other campers or people from your party walking up to the poop mirror, canât wash hands. Requested we donât use the fan or the electricity overnight for draining the battery, which the trailer is advertised as having power. Slightly confused what brings the cost so high, and the $50 cleaning fee for which the place was not clean/ready for our arrival. It kept us dry and would be okay if advertised properly

Great little spot close to Shirley. The campsite was level and great for our large tent. The host was responsive to questions and helpful!
Super cozy, private site with cute lights near the bathroom. Host was very nice and was available if you needed to ask any questions. We could hear some distant traffic and construction in the morning, but I think thatâs to be expected when youâre not too far from town :)

We really appreciated Navitâs communication and info. When we arrived she met us and provided a quick overview of water and compost toilet. The site was very private with a large picnic table. It was a great location for seeing the southwest coast and beaches. We would def come back.

Lovely spot! We enjoyed staying in the fully restored vintage trailer. Our site felt private and safe. It was a great spot to escape to from the city and was close to all of the local beaches and parks in the area. Our hostess was very sweet and made sure that we knew how everything worked and had everything that we needed for our stay.

Navit was very friendly and helpful. The directions to the place were very clear and there was potable water available and the toilet was near to the site.
The place is at about 20-25 min from town, be prepared with your supplies from before! :)

Loved camping on Navitâs property. It was just as advertised. She checked in to make sure I was set up and then had a quiet night. There were bear sightings during my stay, but thatâs nature! Strongly recommend âShirley Deliciousâ at the end of the road for coffee and food.
What can I say about Navitâs beautiful oasis that would do it justice? This was by far my favorite Hipcamp that I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The location is so beautiful and perfectly located for a visit to Shirley and surrounding beaches. The trees and hills are stunning and the camp site is large, private, and far away from the main house. You really feel like youâre all alone in the wild landscape of Vancouver Island. The entry of the property has a beautiful flower garden, pond and large, friendly ducks. Navit was the best host, the nicest person ever, and she provided everything I needed for an enjoyable stay as soon as I asked. There are so many cute touches itâs hard to include them all. I loved the magical forest bathroom. It was like being in the movie Shrek, except perfectly clean and helpful fairy lights that make access easy even at night. The gas fire pit was a spectacular addition that kept me warm in the misty mornings and evenings! 10/10. I canât wait to stay here again.

I had a great stay at the Edlerberry site.
I found it easy to find the campsite with very clear easy to follow instructions. The sites are private, large, clean and exactly and exactly as described. I would recommend camping here when visiting this area.

Everything at this site was great! The sun can be pretty brutal in the afternoon, so definitely pack a shade. Navit communicated perfectly and it was so nice seeing all the animals around.
We had a lovely weekend at Sea Change. It is nice and private, tucked away. No one was camping in the other spot, so it was extra quiet, and we enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the frogs. It was well protected from the wind that picked up over night. Definitely a spot we would come to again.

We enjoyed our quick one-night stay at Navit's property. The camp space is private and easy to access and the additional fencing around the property provides additional security. Thanks for hosting us on such short notice!
The two sites at the farm are very private. There was so much to look at - ravens, rabbits, deer, and ducks on the pond. We fit two cars and two tents comfortably at elderberry. The hosts were great and very responsive to our questions. We can't wait to visit again!

Salmon Berry was the perfect spot for us! Amazing property and a great location for exploring along the west coast! Navit is so welcoming and helpful too!
We had an amazing experience and my kids totally loved this campsite. Navit was also very accommodating and provided great service. She gave us a nice tour of the property and answered all of our gardening questions. We got to pet baby rabbits and the dogs were super friendly! Would definitely recommend and will plan to come back again!

Campsite was great! Our kids loved picking berries and greeting the dogs. It was clean and felt private. The host was kind and friendly too.
I had a fantastic experience camping at Navitâs place. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a friendly environment where you are fully immersed with nature, yet a 15 min walk to the local cafe and Saturday Market. Campsite is medium size and very well kept. Plenty of room for a large tent. Fresh potable water and a clean outhouse just a few steps away. You will be greeted by beautiful gardens and the farm pups. Directions and road in to the camp were easy to find and exactly as described.
We showed up later in the night and navit was super helpful and accommodating. very quick to respond to any questions and they even helped jumpstart our car in the morning. Friendly dogs and lots of blackberries around for breakfast. Location was amazing being so close to beaches and coffee in the morning (make sure you go right at 8:00 otherwise you will be waiting 30min-1hr for food/coffee). Navit brought us down firewood for only 10$ also, very convenient place to stay 10/10 :)
We had a wonderful experience camping here! Navit is a wonderful host with a gorgeous plot. It was magical and nothing short of perfect.
We went to the Shirley Sunday market on our first day and walked down to the lighthouse on another. We found some lovely trails in the area and watched some gorgeous sunsets on the coast.
The camp site was clean, well maintained, and everyone we met along the way was so friendly and helpful!
We enjoyed lots of berry snacks both at camp and on many of our walks.
