This property was purchased nearly half a century ago. For the majority of this time the forest section you will be camping in was left undeveloped, apart from a few mountain bike trails. Recently, as a family, we have seen a large increase in the people traveling to the Sunshine Coast to escape the city limits. Unable to rock up to a campsite and pick our spot like we used to, it was easy to see a growing demand. We have taken everything we love about camping and done our best to give you a sense of what life on the Coast is really about. Please note: By entering onto the property you release all liabilities towards us as hosts. You are choosing to camp in a forested area that contains many hazards as well as potential threats. These include but are not limited to; Wild life (bears, bob cats, cougars etc), Fire is a serious threat to this region during summer months strict no smoking policy is in effect. Care should be taken walking around uneven surfaces. All campers are required to stay within camp boundaries fail to follow these protocols will result in being asked to leave. Welcome to our family property here on the Sunshine Coast. Located in between Mt Elphinstone and the Pacific Ocean, your favourite activities are not far away. For over 40 years we have been developing this area to what it is now, a peaceful sustainable setting to relax and focus on the important things in life. We encourage leaving the technology at home to fully appreciate this natural environment. Site A: This site is surrounded by forest, giving you the feeling of being on your own in the wilderness. Have your choice of multiple flat tent locations and enjoy a gathering area with a propane fire pit, a covered kitchen stocked with some of the basics as well as an additional covered storage area perfect for bikes. You will be within walking distance of a local food truck, Sunday Cider and a secret beach access. All located conveniently just a 10-minute drive from Langdale Ferry Terminal. Site B: Coming soon! Welcome to The Bunkhouse here on the Sunshine Coast! Located in between Mt Elphinstone and the Pacific Ocean, your favourite activities are not far away. Previously used as bedrooms for our two oldest sons, last fall we did some upgrades to make it more suitable to have friends and family come to stay. With one side living area, one side bedroom, and a bathroom in the middle, it has a unique feel to it. Enjoy feeling like you are in the trees from our new elevated sun deck out front. If you are interested in the Blue Zone diet or hobby farming in general this is a great way to engage in some of the basics and really feel like you know where your food is coming from. Located in the centre of our farm we do ask you stick to the general area surrounding the building unless accompanied by one of us. We are more than happy to have you join us with some of the daily activities such as feeding the animals, watering the garden, or collecting eggs, fruit and veggies. We're confident you will leave feeling more connected to your surroundings. We are conveniently located a 10-minute drive from the Langdale Ferry Terminal and only a 5-minute drive to stores, restaurants, breweries, and beach access. Shop, stroll and dine, all against the backdrop of stunning views of Howe Sound and vistas of the coastal mountains – this is Gibsons Landing. Charming stores, art galleries, and restaurants/cafés line the Landing, complete with Winegarden Waterfront Park – the perfect place to sit in the sun or take a panoramic picture of the harbour. We look forward to hosting you!
