Rejeanne&#x27;s Forest on Salt Spring

Absolutely phenomenal place to stay. It's become my go to campsites for all types of trips to saltspring. Highly recommend the sites on Rejeanne's land.

We bikepacked from Vancouver to Saltspring island and absolutely loved our stay at Rejeanne’s mossy forest site! Rejeanne provided us with fresh drinking water to fill our bottles and stay hydrated. The site is very quiet, secluded and peaceful. Perfect for hammocking and relaxing after a long day of biking

A Perfect Stay

We had a really lovely stay in Rejeane's Forest. Water was supplied and the outhouse was nearby. The campsite was easy to find and the road that it is off of is very quiet. Everyone was very friendly and she was a really prompt, and accommodating host with a beautiful little forest for us to enjoy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would love to come back!

Excellent quiet camping spot nestled in the forest. Easy to find. Drinking water was available, but there is no sink with running water for washing dishes so plan accordingly. Very clean site with a small table and benches. Would definitely stay again!

Nice quiet spot that fitter needs perfectly. We were on a tandem bike with a hint. The host brought us water and some camp chairs to use which made it much more comfortable for Forrest. A good spot.

Spectacular campsite on Salt Spring

The campsite was spectacular. It was absolutely huge and sat right in the forest with no other campsites in view. It was quiet and peaceful. A huge bonus is the beautiful outhouse made from trees in the forest. I imagine most people are in cars, but for backpackers on foot, it is possible to get there via public bus. You just have to check the schedules carefully. Once you know the times you can even flag down a bus to take you back to Long Harbor ferry, once you walk down to Long Harbor Road. And if they don’t run when you need them, there are cabs on the island. The public transportation system on the island in general is spectacular and I was able to see a lot of the island. I highly recommend this campsite.

Private and convenient

Great spot! Very private and secluded - you really felt like you were in the wilderness. Rejeanne is very friendly and was happy to help us first-timers. Can't recommend this campsite enough!

Easy to find, and site is ultimately as advertised - close to the public road with limited privacy, some trees. The host didn't respond to communication till after the stay, and seemed accountable and responded kindly for the breakdown in comms. Some of the site has a slight gradient, though fairly flat. The site could have had a bit of a cleanup from the previous users, and this was mentioned to the host. I'd stay again at this particular site if I was in a pinch. I'd perhaps prefer other sites on the property.

A nice spot close to town and to the ferry which felt very secluded and private. If you are the type to set up a "base camp" and spend the days out exploring the local area, this is a great spot. There were a few nice hiking trails in the area, and the island is covered in small artist studios to explore. Ganges is a cute town to visit with all the basic shops you might need (groceries, Home Hardware, etc) plus a couple book stores, a bunch of cute cafes, pretty standard small artsy town.

The site had plenty of space and felt private without being isolated, and it was simple to get around the property and find everything needed. I loved my site ... the log bench was helpful for my bikepacking. The site was incredibly peaceful. Loo was closeby. Location worked perfectly for my hike n bike plans. Will definitely return.

Great experience in Salt Spring Island. Perfect spot to park the van for the night. Worked perfect with our early ferry departure from Long Harbour.

Overall, we had a wonderful time. Our campsite (3) turned out to be closer to the road than we had anticipated, and the traffic was quite steady, even with cars moving up and down the driveway, making it feel less private. A curious neighbor even stopped her car and approached us to let us know about a fire ban (which we were already aware of, as we were using a propane pit). Other than that, it was really quiet and peaceful. The site really grew on us after the second day, and we are happy we decided to stay. The walk-in tent sites at the back of the property looked fantastic, and we found ourselves wishing we could be back there! It was conveniently close to town, and the outhouse was impressive, complete with a real door and lights! We would definitely recommend it, as it is much nicer than your typical campground.
