Hosted by Berny and Stuart Moore, Blacksmith Landing Eco Camp is nestled in the majestic Rocky Mountain Trench in Southeastern BC, just a short drive from Lussier natural hot springs, hiking, boating, canoeing, golfing, breathtaking WhiteSwan Lake, Premier Lake, Findlay Falls and the Kootenay and Columbia rivers. Blacksmith Landing is a safe, spacious and peaceful camp where minimal environmental impact is encouraged. We are faithful stewards and respect our beautiful forested land. Our expectation is that campers will also share this respect for our Eco systems in an environmentally friendly way. As we take this Hipcamp journey together, we are finding little things we can do to make your stay better…Like offering a complimentary table at your site should you require one…. or adjusting the site you booked to one that would perhaps fit your needs much better as we know it’s difficult to choose a perfect site on line. If you forgot something, we probably have one…. Feel free to ask.

Highly recommended

Absolutely wonderful campground set in forest with the cleanest facilities you’ll find in Canada. There’s a short walk to a fantastic river view. Quiet. A great base to explore Kootenay. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The Ponderosa

Don’t miss this one!

This place was one of our FAVORITES in our month long adventure! We loved it so much we stayed 2 nights. Delightful hosts, beautiful property, great location….and the cutest, cleanest, best smelling outhouses you’ve ever seen! There is great hike right on the property to a beautiful view of the river from above and natural hot springs about 15 miles up the road across the street. Brent and Stuart have obviously poured their heart and soul into this camp and it shows!

Sunset Boulevard

Great place for tenting.

I was tenting alone. Bernie met me at the gate and recommended the best place to set up - close to the outhouse and close to the water supply. The site was nice and flat with plenty of space between sites. I had ordered dinner for the day of my arrival and it was both delicious and nutritious. The next morning I followed Bernie’s directions to get to the natural hot springs nearby. I loved it!

Berny and Stuart made us feel welcome from the moment we booked. So kind, helped us to our spot, and had a lovely chat. The place was gorgeous, well kept. You can tell they put their heart and soul into the land. Would Definitely come back :)

The Oasis

An amazing experience!

Wow! Me and my friend Ellie had SUCH a fantastic experience at Berny and Stuarts campsite, they truly made our trip one we will remember for the rest of our lives. The campsite itself is really well located, we enjoyed the natural hotsprings, paddleboarding on the lake, white water rafting as well as just exploring the land near the campsite. They helped us pick the perfect pitch for our tent and even set up a fly for us when we were off exploring due to our tent being leaky. We felt truly cared for during our stay. We sampled some amazing produce from Bernys garden which was a delicious addition to our meals! Best of all was the opportunity to talk with Berny and Stuart. They are two amazing people with great stories to tell and such warm and genuine souls, we both left hoping this won't be the last we see of them, as we were so touched by their kindness and generosity. I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat and really hope we can return to see them again before our journey in Canada comes to an end. Thank you so much to Berny and Stuart!!

The Hang 10

Our new favourite spot ❤️

We stumbled upon this magical place on the long weekend, and loved it so much, we had to come back the following weekend. Berny and Stuart have done such an incredible job making the campsite feel so much nicer than a regular campsite, from the cleanest/nicest smelling outhouses on the planet, the book nook, the cute wood sculptures and carvings, and the delicious food you can add to your booking. When we went home from the first weekend, my son said to me “mom you seem really excited” After we arrived and chatted with Berny and Stuart for a bit, he said “I understand why you are so excited” 😊 The kids loved it as much as we did! The hosts are so hospitable, you feel like you’re camping on family land. It’s also just a short drive from beautiful scenic lakes and a natural hot spring. Absolutely love everything about this place. We will return many many times!!!!
