Welcome to our little piece of paradise! We have a beautiful 5 acre U-Pick Blueberry Farm located in Powell River on the Upper Sunshine Coast! We offer one RV / Tent site overlooking one of our blueberry fields, and one tent site spot in our orchard area . We’re just minutes away from several ocean beaches and lakes, perfect for swimming, kayaking or fishing. Hiking, biking and ATV access trails are steps away from the site. It’s a great opportunity to explore the ever-expanding backcountry. We are also very close to two popular summer spots, the Sunshine Coast Trail System and Powell River Canoe Route . In the summer months we are an operating farm, so we could have customers out picking berries during the day. We have a farm dog named Harleigh and a cat, Ranger, who will likely come out and meet you :) If you’d like to bring a pet, please ask us in advance and it will be considered when you inquire about booking. Picnic tables and firepit are supplied and firewood will be available for purchase. Fires are only allowed during non-forest fire seasons. Potable water is available and there is access to power for charging cell phones etc. There is a Provincial Sani dump 15 minutes south of us and a regional one 20 minutes north. Rusty Gate Berry Farm RV Site
A lovely spot to set up a base camp and explore the nearby biking trails. Powell river is a good 15-20 min drive away. Very quiet spot and Denise and husband are kind and helpful. The pit toilet was super clean and the animals are very friendly, but not intrusive.

Rusty Gate Berry Farm Tent Site
Beautiful and peaceful spot to pitch a tent. Denise provided clear directions and greeted me upon arrival. She was friendly and helpful. The space was as described, the communication was great, and the layout provided some privacy too. Mike was friendly as well and provided me with some freshly picked apples, which were heavenly after my hiking trip. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Beauty in the Blueberries
We stayed at the Rusty Gate Farm during a 10-day van trip exploring Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. Out of all of our stops/stays along the way, this was our favorite! First, Denise was a wonderful host... gracious, kind, responsive and has really created something special on her property. The entire property had a peaceful vibe, very well crafted and cared for! Our camp site was perfect for our Sprinter Van... perfectly flat, tucked in a beautiful stand of trees for a bit of privacy and shade, but with views of the Blueberry field. We really appreciated the clean and compact gravel for our site which made parking and keeping things clean easy, but mostly surrounded by green lawn and trees. There were some great amenities like a picnic table and hammock at our site and the cleanest and cutest composting privy you could imagine a short walk away. Wait... it gets better!... there are miles and miles of hiking and biking trails easily walkable/rideable from Denise's property. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night and would definitely stay again next time we are in Powell River. Thanks Denise!

Denise’s place is amazing. Off the beaten path near Powell River, the Rusty Gate Berry Farm is incredibly peaceful. We camped in the RV site next to one of the berry patches. It was a welcome place to hang out and relax during our stay. We would definitely come back!

Camping on a Blueberry Farm
My wife and I cycled to this campsite, and loved it a lot. The location is perfect: surrounded by high trees, quiet, clean air, close to a beautiful beach and a few stores for needed supplies. Denise and Mike have clearly worked very hard at making this campsite a welcoming and beautiful location, one perfect for campers looking for a unique experience. And I can't write this review without mentioning the blueberries; our tent was right next to rows of blueberry bushes--the blueberries were delicious, we ate a lot of them... One last thing, Denise is an amazing host. It was a real pleasure to talk with her about her experience creating the blueberry farm. Our conversations were truly enriching.
