It was a stunning location and host was great the only thing that let it down was the freight trains that run just over the other side of the river . They are loud and very frequent other than that it would have been perfect. I would recommend it if you don't mind the train noise.

Superb location. We didn't want to leave. It was the most peaceful, idyllic place we stayed. Thank you so much to Lindsay and her husband who allow complete strangers to share their wonderful land for a fleeting time. They are perfect hosts, and we would highly recommend this little slice of heaven to anyone who wants some peace, quiet and solitude. Wonderful. Greame and Katharine, from North Wales, UK. Lindsay was so lovely, we had such an amazing, welcoming stay and the farm tour we had was lovely. We’ve already booked back and can’t wait - the campsite was gorgeous and right next to a beautiful river. Can’t wait to go back 10/10

All fine, we can recommend it! We never hat so much space for us.
Lovely, peaceful site, surrounded by a field of horses and beautiful star gazing after dark! We had the pitch all to ourselves right by the river, and enjoyed a fresh dip in the morning. The train does run throughout the night from just across the river so bring ear plugs if this will disturb you!

We really enjoyed our stay. The site is very private with beautiful views. The host was very friendly and took the time to explain everything.

This is the nicest place we have stayed on our 12 night Canada road trip. Stunning location next to the river, with bald eagles nesting nearby. We absolutely loved the horses as our neighbours.
Lindsay was very helpful when we expressed our worries about the route we hoped to take the following day due to the wildfires. He even took my sons and me up to his stable to see his two foals. If we ever find ourselves in that part of the world again, Alpenglow will be a definite stop off! Beautiful.
We were camped right beside the beautiful North Thompson river. We had a beautiful view of the mountains across the river and horses in the field behind. We watched bald eagles perched in the trees around us or soaring by several times a day. We were also blessed with the visit of a couple of Sandhill cranes in the field beside us. The only downside would be the noise of the trains going by. You could not see them but you could hear them. We will definitely book this spot again next time we are in the area.

Our family loved this spot next to the river. The views were fantastic and we enjoyed watching the neighbor bald eagles fly over. Having the horses roam around the field behind our site was a highlight. They were so beautiful and friendly. The hosts were kind and communicated well and the location was great for exploring Wells Gray Provincial Park.
Amazing location right on the river, stunning views. It was our favourite spot on our two week road trip.
Even the occasional train noise could not take away the serenity of this beautiful camp spot.
Good communication, easy to reserve.
Linsay give us good explanation of the area.

A great little place right on the riverside. Quiet, safe and private. Kids were able to explore the river and see salmon spawning which was super cool. We also took a lovely walk through the pasture land while we were there.

Highly recommend Lindsay’s place. Her husband was helpful in showing us how to get to our camp. The view from the site was beautiful - and the land is very private. You can’t see the other campers so it feels like it’s all to yourselves! I’d definitely go back.

This was a beautiful secluded paradise. Bald eagles greeting us, the freezing but refreshing river right in front of our campsite, and friendly horses roaming around nearby! Could not recommend this spot more, the farm tour is a must as well. 11/10 experience :)
Wow - what an amazing spot to be privileged to be camping on. Having your morning coffee by the river, watching the bald eagles across the river, the calmness of the area, and having the owners' horses keep us company - it can’t get better than that. Lindsay was super communicative, met us upon arrival, and shared great insight on the area and some fun activities. Highly recommended.
We absolutely loved staying at Lindsay and Peter’s. the location was exceptional. The stars, moon, river and mountains, eagles soaring and horses roaming in the fields. Beds in the TV are comfy and stove and toilet work great. They provided water and some glow sticks and bubbles for my daughters! The TV does rock when someone moves and You can hear the trains.
We did the farm tour and it was fantastic. We learned so much and met so many animals.
I would highly recommend staying here!

Great site! Great host! Everything was as advertised and communicated. Would highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing place to spend the night! Peter was very nice and the property was beyond beautiful! So private you don’t see any houses in any direction and right on the river felt so peaceful. Our dog loved running through the fields and dipping her toes in the river. The horses were gorgeous and so fun to watch. We would 100% come and stay here again if we are ever in the area!

We had such a beautiful, peaceful time at Lindsay's farm. Her family was so kind and even lent us a generator after our motorhome generator went out. We spent the day watching logs float down the river and horses graze the field . It felt so peaceful , we really really enjoyed our time. I wish we had more time to spend at Lindsay's farm. I highly recommend adding this stop to your route . Thanks Lindsay and family for everything !
