B.E.N.T. Acres

Treena was very kind and welcoming, and accommodated our late arrival time. She also has lots of good tips for local adventure! The campsite was nice and private, and we really liked the river access and beach area. I recommend this campsite for anyone looking for a private getaway that isn’t too far from town!

Fantastic spot. The site is large. We were steps away from the river which my kids absolutely loved playing in. The are some trails to explore. We also enjoyed doing a bit of bird watching on the site.

Lovely camping experience 😊

I had a lovely time staying at B.E.N.T Acres. Treena and her family were so kind and welcoming. I requested a spot with privacy and quiet and I also arrived late at night due to travel delays and Treena was very understanding and accommodating. B.E.N.T Acres itself is located on Old Hedley Road about a 20 min drive from Princeton and right on the Similkameen river. Getting to Hedley town takes about 20 mins by car as well so it's a very convenient location. Please note that there is no cell service on Old Hedley Road once you've driven about 7-8 km away from Princeton. This can be a positive in that you can unplug and unwind. There is some cell reception on the beach on the property in case you need to get on the network. If you are a light sleeper, please note that Highway 5A runs on the opposite side of the river and if there's traffic at night, you will definitely hear it. I would recommend earplugs for a good sleep. I'm a light sleeper and slept in my car. I was able to sleep well with my noise-canceling earbuds on.

Our stay at Treena's Campground was absolutely amazing! This place is a true hidden gem in the most gorgeous location. We had the best time relaxing, exploring, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. What made our stay even more special was Treena and her family. They are incredibly welcoming, kind, and thoughtful, and they've put a lot of work into making their property an exceptional place, and sharing it! We are so grateful! We can't recommend this little paradise enough and already can't wait to come back. Thank you, Treena and family, for such a wonderful experience!

Riverfront paradise

This is a truly wonderful spot. Treena’s main camping área, sites 1-5 are more manicured, with the beautiful sandy beach and amenities, however if you value the feeling of being alone in a stunning location, the overflow site is a dream come true. The river is very loud in this site and drowns out any highway noise. We had to manoeuvre carefully in our 38 foot travel trailer to get down the road and into position, however the challenge was minor for an experienced driver. We were there 12 days and it was not nearly enough time. Treena and Ed are the best hosts you could ever hope for and I highly recommended this site if you are self sustaining, don’t need any services and don’t mind a little dust. This will be a regular stop on my camping rotation and I’m looking forward to my return.

We absolutely loved camping on B.E.N.T. Acres! Treena and her family were so welcoming and made us feel like family. The spot we had was really large and we could fit our 6 person tent, gazebo, picnic table (included on site), and our car, with tons of space to spare! The property is so well maintained, the outhouses get cleaned and stocked daily and the fresh water access for cooking/cleaning was very convenient. The private river access was so beautiful and had many covered lounging options. Swimming in the river was the best way to unwind! There were playhouses and rideable tractors and beach toys for our toddler to play with and he never wanted to sleep because he had so much fun! Probably the best camping experience ever!

We absolutely loved our camping trip at Treena's. The campsite is flat and shaded, easy for our car to pull in. Outhouses are clean, water hose is close by, the whole property is well maintained and wonderfully decorated. Treena is super responsive and welcoming as well. Overall a great trip and we'd love to come back.

Amazing location and stay !! Beautiful sandy beach area at the river with cabanas and umbrellas that made me feel like I was in Mexico at times !! The river has deep swimming pockets in areas that make it great for taking a dip. The hosts are amazing and friendly. They made us feel at home. . Cannot wait to come back again to relax in their little piece of paradise!!

Beautiful Getaway Campsite

The host was fantastic! She was very accommodating and took time to get to know what would make our stay fun and relaxing. The beach and amenities were wonderful and the space was very clean and well-kept. We ended up booking an extra night in the site after we arrived. We have added B.E.N.T. Acres to our list for future trips to Princeton. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

This was a wonderful stay at Bent Acres. We had lots of room in our truck and camper. The outhouses are spotless and cute! The beach by the river is steps away and we swam and relaxed watching birds and ducks. We walked the path around the property after dinner. Very peaceful. There is hwy noise from the other side of the river, but this didn’t affect our experience negatively. Will keep this place on file. 😊

A River oasis!

What an amazing and unexpected gem! B.E.N.T felt like visiting family while spending sunny days on a fabulous beach on the river! You can feel the love and care in every detail here from the comfy beach chairs to the wimsy decorations adorning the property 😀 not to mention the outhouses that felt like an indoor affair- tiled and immaculate! A definite treat to sleep under the blowing poplar trees and laze the days away! See you again soon Treena and family!

Treena is absolutely amazing and the site is so awesome with tons of space per site and my family and my sister family had fun, especially the river area kids enjoyed playing by the sand we took lots of photos and videos and our group of 7 enjoyed the large fire pit with kids marshmallows and we have a morning short trailing around the site and the view is stunning 💁🏻‍♀️we would recommend.

BENT Acres is a fantastic gem of a camp. Treena was welcoming, kind and accommodating. The camping area has lots of shade with big mature trees. We loved the birdsong! The beach is especially amazing for hanging out at with a variety of chairs, shade, and games.

I had a great night at B.E.N.T. The weather was cooler than I would’ve liked, and I’m grateful it didn’t rain. Checked out the paths to the Duck Pond and back to the River Beach. The outhouses are the best I’ve ever encountered. Maybe an odd thing to review; they were impeccably clean. Thought I was going to be the only camper, but someone came in late. Next morning the new campers accidentally locked themselves out of their vehicle. I drove her to Princeton to get strong cell service to call BCAA. I would love to come back next year. Except I want it to be hot then I’d be willing to do a dip in the river. Site was large to me. Car and a tent. Solo camper and I felt safe. Highly recommend visiting. Enjoyed visiting with you Treena!

BENT acres is so beautiful and peaceful. The river steps away with plenty of comfortable lounging chairs. Treena was so welcoming and generous! Let me pick the best spot for the the night and even lent me her pump. She offered many recommendations. The pit/out house was the cleanest I’ve seen. Highly recommended this family owned pocket of peaceful camping! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Private land on the river with only a few sites beats an overcrowded provincial park any day. I stayed at a site nestled amongst mature trees, I loved the cacophony of birdsong and gentle breeze. The well water is so delicious. The outhouses are clean. And the refeshing Similkameen!! The family are great hosts, the property is truly a labour of love 💕 💕💕. I’ll be back!

Beautiful piece of property right on the river! Lots of nice touches like chairs and fire pit on the beach, firewood and fire starters provided at the camp site and lots of space. Treena was super nice and helpful. We will be back!
