1 night at Southern Revere Vineyard & Farm

What a cool place to camp! The host has created a secluded camping area on the grounds of a winery. The campsite has electricity, a nice picnic table, and a massive fire ring with cooking grate. The space is grass covered and has lots of trees but is also open for those who have a Starlink. Would love to come back here on a weekend and check out the winery.

Weekend Trip to Camping on the Hazel River

Another great stay (despite the rain!). The hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate with and the sites are very well maintained. The flushable toilet is bonus. We loved swimming in the Hazel on a hot day. There are three contiguous sites which are fairly private and an amazing common area with gazebo right on the river that would make a great location for a family reunion. Hope to be back with the kids and grandkids!

The spot is situated next to a picture-perfect stream that appears to be frequented by a variety of natural critters. My son, his friend, and I had a nice stay at Narrow Gate Farm. It’s really beautiful there. The pool is very nice and the kids had a great time playing in it. We were in a tent near site 10, a relatively new spot as I understood it from Jim. It had water and electricity and a great view. Jim and Cindy were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of firewood to use at no cost, two port-o-potties on the grounds, and a conveniently located trash dumpster.

Best campsite ever! Beautiful location an easy drive from the DC area for our Girl Scout troop, based so close to lots of hiking in the mountains or a short drive to Luray Caverns. Jennifer was a fantastic host, providing great communication and detailed instructions that made it easy to prepare for our trip, find our campsite, and make the most of our time in the beautiful area. The campsite easily fit our group of 8, even with multiple cars. Very good for non-experienced campers, with lots of amenities like a mini-kitchen, bathroom, flat sites for tents, and comfortable picnic table and firepit cooking area. There are several hiking trails directly off the campsite, leading to the farm store and area where you can visit the cute and friendly farm animals. That said, while we saw signs to the other campsites and we knew the place was full for the weekend, we didn't see or hear any other visitors - lots of privacy. Overall, a fantastic time and we can't wait to come back. Thanks again!

3 nights at Private Paradise on Rivers Bend

Graham was a wonderful host and he owns a beautiful piece of land. My partner and I fished the Robinson river for three straight days looking for trout, only caught Sunny’s, Creek chin and small mouth, but it was an absolute blast. Very peaceful and lots of wildlife to watch. Many MANY deer and turkeys and groudhogs and numerous beautiful birds (sparrows, blue birds, hawks, eagles, cardinals, owls). Graham and his young sons were very attentive and kind. The sites are a little closer together than I expected, we like to be pretty secluded when we camp, but it was still a wonderful time with incredible views to take in. I would definitely recommend!!!

General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things. In the 5 people per site we are considering adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours! Also, if you want peace and quiet - and we have children booked - we will put you out at one beautiful remote campsites away from all the kids running and singing.

We are a Nature Retreat bordering Nature Conservancy land along a tributary and up and down the Rappahannock River. You can hike along the stream down to the river and up and down the river. You can fish and float the river. There are no trails so a moderate level of fitness and comfort in the forest is needed. You can follow the water ways but it is wilderness. Camping there is primitive but available or you can camp or glamp at Earthwalk Ways Retreat. We are also adjacent to a 50 acre farm on the other side of the creek that is available for hiking. There is a reservoir nearby as well. We are in the midst of the suburbs not far from Fredericksburg, which has some great historic and community places of interest. Our facilities are private and we only rent to one or 2 guests at a time. You can glamp in a trailer, or car camp in a nice campground with power and water or you can go primitive and pack in. All spaces include access to our classical 11 circuit labyrinth and backyard gardens where you can enjoy zen rock garden and other contemplative nature crafts. There are some great extra's here as well including an outdoor jacuzzi and indoor infrared sauna and massage chair. These spa features are another great way to get your zen on here. I offer Forest Bathing and individual retreat support sessions, an quarterly sweat lodge and also vision quest support if people would like to experience a solo nature immersion feast.
