-No refunds will be given for inclement weather.
-You will be surrounded by 9000 acres of the Palmetto Pear Tree Nature Preserve so there are plenty of wild animals. Including but not limited to deer, turkey, raccoons, possums, squirrels, coyote, endangered Red Wolfs, Bear, snakes, eagles, otters, birds galore and so much more. You truly never know what wildlife you may encounter.
-Pets are allowed, you will be in the wilderness so keep an eye on them.

Gator Creek was a perfect place to get away from everything for a night. Joyce's land is well-cleared and accommodating for whatever flavor of camping you're there for. It was the ideal distance to be close enough to civilization, yet quiet and private enough to feel at home in the woods for a night. Joyce was very kind and allowed me to set up near the fire pit and outside toilet. The near by water area was pretty, especially at sunset. This is a great place for anyone who wants to be in solitude and stick to the campsite. Except for the local hunters who briefly set off some rounds in the day time, it was incredibly quiet. The site is in a very small rural community with only a single convenient store, but there are no shops or local entertainment. Would recommend for anyone into having a complete wilderness experience.

What a picturesque setting on the river to enjoy a beautiful sunrise & the day that follows. Views of the water, nice sandy “beach” (w/adirondack chairs), level cement pad, power & water, Wi-Fi, warm outdoor enclosed shower, dock and gracious, friendly hosts is what you’ll find at Riverview.
We had a fabulous stay despite the cool weather. Our hosts went above and beyond by not only including us on a boat ride, but also chased down (and captured) our canopy that “took sail” in a gust of wind.

Fantastic water view-the sun rises are gorgeous. It was a great location for visiting surrounding areas. We really enjoyed just sitting and watching the water! John was very helpful and prompt in answering all our questions. A hidden treasure for sure.

We loved staying with Claudine at Captains Corner previously so when she posted Sea Horse we knew we had to book it! The lot is grassy and flat. Waterfront on a canal on one side and waterview of the Currituck Sound on the other. Good sized lot. So lots of room for those canopys, cornhole, etc. Husband enjoyed throwing the pole in the canal. He did catch a crab. We will definitely be back! Claudine is an amazing host. She is very accommodating and ALWAYS quick to reply. She is the reason I prefer hipcamp over campgrounds now.

Great beach camping. We wanted to go back to the sites right on the beach. The discovery center provided great history on the park.

This park is in the city of Virginia Beach, so it's pretty busy, but it is a great way to explore this resort town without shelling out for a hotel.
