Serene camp on a canal with beautiful views of the Currituck Sound on Walnut Island. Enjoy the breeze, the tranquility, and kayaking out into Dowdy Bay. Wake up to breathtaking sunrises over the sound. This camp is conveniently located near shopping, gas, and dining. It’s just a 20-minute drive to Kitty Hawk Beach on the beautiful Outer Banks, and only 10 minutes to the H2OBX water park. Barry’s Bar and Restaurant is also located just down the street. Walnut Island is a relaxed, welcoming place with friendly people—perfect for a peaceful getaway.This site is on a canal lot.

Camp Sea Horse

We loved staying with Claudine at Captains Corner previously so when she posted Sea Horse we knew we had to book it! The lot is grassy and flat. Waterfront on a canal on one side and waterview of the Currituck Sound on the other. Good sized lot. So lots of room for those canopys, cornhole, etc. Husband enjoyed throwing the pole in the canal. He did catch a crab. We will definitely be back! Claudine is an amazing host. She is very accommodating and ALWAYS quick to reply. She is the reason I prefer hipcamp over campgrounds now.
