Second time staying here and will definitely be back! Incredible value and very convenient to much of the Nags Head area.

this site was awesome! they have bunnies, chickens, and a few outdoor cats that were really cute and friendly! shockingly spacious for a singular tent site, and they even provided firewood for us to use which was really nice. i would say though, if you plan on coming here during mosquito season, make sure to pack bug spray and keep your tent closed!

The marsh line tent spot
This is a nice level spot with room for several tents. Fire ring in the middle of the area. It was dry during our visit but appears that it could get spongy in wet times. While the site is completely surrounded by vegetation, it does back up to a neighboring home which is only feet away. Even though the site was quite with the exception of occasional HVAC and road traffic noises. The site was clean but we did have to clean up some dog waste before we set up camp. As the name implies, this is a dry spot surrounded by marsh, mosquito countermeasures are highly recommended. Not overwhelming if prepared. It's likely we will book the site again. Thanks.

This place is perfect for a simple camp site. Enough space for a few tents and cars. The bugs were not bad(we went Memorial Day weekend). We brought some Citronella candles and had a fire going. No bug spray needed. Levi was an awesome host! We will be back again!

Never got there as the RV parking was blocked and couldn't accomodate any camper in excess of 9 ft. Unfortunately, I didn't get this message until the morning I was to arrive. Not sure if it was the fault of HipCamp's email messaging service or the campground owner, Levi. I was lucky I happened to call ahead before we left from home. I ended up paying $130. for a hotel room. This was my 1st booking through HipCamp and my last.

This is the perfect choice for those looking for simplicity when camping. The area was spacious and well maintained making it perfect for tents, or in my case, a small 15ft off grid camper. The driveway leads back to an area surrounded by trees giving it a sense of privacy despite not being out in the middle of no where. Given the convenience of the location.... you're not going to find a better deal for miles around if you're looking for something simple.

What a beautiful spot! I recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful place to sleep in the Outer Banks area. The fire pit was perfect and the site was so private.

Levi was incredibly helpful with great communication and tips about the area. The property was beautiful -- very few bugs for the location and time of year! Will stay again when I'm in the area.

Great stay! Great communication and great hosts! It was a perfect stop for us after an all day drive before we headed down the outer banks. Also a good base location to do all of the Manteo, Nags Head, and Kitty Hawk shinanigins. The bunnies made it feel like a fairy tale for the kids :) us to actually.

A great little spot in Wanchese, just a few minutes from where Hwy 64 hits 12 at the beach. I was here several nights as I explored the OBX and it the location was perfect. Not too far from Wright Brothers memorial and a perfect spot if you want to go north or south on OBX.
The spot is simple but comfortable, just off the road in front of the host’s house. The road is pretty quiet and there’s a hedge to provide privacy from the road. I stayed both weekdays and a weekend day, the road noise was minimal as the location isnt too far from the “end of the road”. There is a 30 amp hookup, water and sewer connection available.
Levi was an awesome and friendly host, a great guy to chat with when we passed each other.
I would definitely come stay again at this site.

Nice, clean, flat secluded spot near the OBX beaches and fishing spots. Host was easy to work with and very helpful. Had 30amp and water at the roadside spot.

This is a great spot right near the beach (8-10 minutes away). It was a little buggy but I expected that since it was in some of the reviews. Overall a great stay!
