This is a sweet family oriented campground with nice amenities, including laundry, which can be a game changer if you’re on the road for an extended time. All the people who worked there were friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean. The sites are very close together, so not much in the way of privacy, and that train will make your bed rumble if you’re on the section next to it like I was. There are different reasons to stay at different places and this was convenient for me coming in town for a family funeral. I left my van and pets in the campground and took Ubers to the different events over the weekend. All my Ubers came in about 5 minutes, so it was convenient and worked out well. Could have done without the Halloween music streaming in the bathrooms, but overall recommend and would stay again if in the area.

Anvil was a great camping spot for my partner and I. It is in the middle of everything, the owner and employees are super helpful and kind, and the amenities are wonderful. The full hookups were easy to work with (especially as newer RV campers) and the staff has soooo much stuff in the general store in case you forgot something for your RV. The only thing I would change was cheaper laundry or bigger machines. It was $2.50 a load for a smaller washer. Anddd there was only 4 so sometimes it got a little busy. Also, if you have people with sensory needs in your party, be aware the campsite is right by the train tracks. The trains don’t have a set schedule and they can be quite loud. Our dogs were totally cool after a couple days, but I would just be aware of that. But literally everything else was a great time! Everyone had their own campfire pit, space for seating outside, full hookups, and amenities. We will absolutelyyyyy be back!

I loved the campsite. I love how they have it blocked off for tents and your vehicle. There is plenty of room. I felt very safe. All of the activities are great for kids.
