Wooded glampground in Plantersville, TX. Fully furnished glamping canvas bell tents, with premier tents on platforms with electric (and Kuerig coffee pots and coffee!). Sleep 2 - 6 comfortably, depending on the size tent. Tents range in size from 10 - 16 feet.
New fully furnished cabins are available to rent too! Kitchens/kitchenettes, full bathrooms, etc - Big Tex, Lil' Tex and The Ren Shack, sleep 4 - 9 people each depending on the cabin size.
Glamping vintage trailers are available too, and are also fully furnished with electric, kitchens and bathrooms, and sleep 2-3 people each.

About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out.
NO FISHING
As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around.
We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails.
There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful.
We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch.
Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are--

2. Another my brother likes that has a cypress tree submerged you can sit on he calls the 1000 waterfalls

We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding.
The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.
In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family.

Heavily wooded acreage with goats, horses and donkeys. There is no light pollution and if there are no clouds you can see the stars very clearly. We have a ton of wild birds. Owls and Cara Cara are common. There are deer, feral hog and two resident packs of coyote. We also have ring tail cats, which are nocturnal and rare.
The best seasons are October 1st thru the end of April. It gets VERY hot and dry in the summer and can just be miserable.
We have a shared bathroom and an outdoor shower and tub. If you are a single woman or a family with children, we don't take other bookings while you are visiting the farm. You will have the place to yourselves. The only exception being my family and I, if we are working or staying over at the farm.
We should have a second bunkhouse up and running by fall of 2025.
If you are tent camping, you may camp anywhere on the property but there are certain spaces that may make curious horses your roomies.

As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around.
We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails.
There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful.
We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch.
Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are--

The camp area is 9 secluded, fenced and wooded acres laced with all-dirt flat biking and walking trails on our property. We encourage you to bring your bicycles along. The bird watching is great!

A propane camp stove is also provided (with one 16 oz can of propane), as well as several small storage compartments. The tents are 11' tall and 8' wide, with a private deck, providing ample space to stretch out and relax.
Thoughtfully positioned to provide panoramic views of the vast desert landscape, you will be able to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the desert while enjoying an elevated camping experience. You can step onto the deck and savor a cup of coffee as the sun rises and paints the sky in oranges and pink. Or, unwind at the end of the day with a glass of wine while you gaze at the stars under one of the darkest skies in the country.
Located 35 minutes from the entrance to Big Bend National Park and the Terlingua ghost town, this is a great base to explore everything the area has to offer. The Terlingua Ranch Lodge is an easy 15 minute drive and features the Bad Rabbit restaurant, a pool and a bath house with hot showers. Showers are $2/each and a day pass for the pool is $8. Ice and other small provisions are available at the Ranch office. Access to the property requires driving 1 mile on a dirt road, but does not require 4-wheel drive or high clearance vehicles.

Paradise on Lake Texoma (formerly Paradise Cove) is a beautiful, secluded commercial campground located in the "Big Mineral Arm'' of Lake Texoma. Built in the 80's by the Corps of Engineers, Paradise has been a mainstay of the lake for many years. Recently, the current management team are working to grow Paradise into something special. With a huge focus on community and culture, Paradise has tons of space for people to come together and enjoy the company and also areas to wander off and find a quiet lakeside spot to relax. You'll also be able to catch one of the best breathtaking sunsets on the lake!
The wildlife we have on the property is amazing! I have deer that sleep in my front yard, opossums, 600 bird species, and my favorite… the armadillos!
We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding.
The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.
In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family.

Heavily wooded acreage with goats, horses and donkeys. There is no light pollution and if there are no clouds you can see the stars very clearly. We have a ton of wild birds. Owls and Cara Cara are common. There are deer, feral hog and two resident packs of coyote. We also have ring tail cats, which are nocturnal and rare.
The best seasons are October 1st thru the end of April. It gets VERY hot and dry in the summer and can just be miserable.
We have a shared bathroom and an outdoor shower and tub. If you are a single woman or a family with children, we don't take other bookings while you are visiting the farm. You will have the place to yourselves. The only exception being my family and I, if we are working or staying over at the farm.
We should have a second bunkhouse up and running by fall of 2025.
If you are tent camping, you may camp anywhere on the property but there are certain spaces that may make curious horses your roomies.

Great and secluded little spot on the river. There are more tent/rv sites nearby, but i had the whole area to myself. Bathroom was clean, well lit and close by. Camper covered the basics and ac/heater unit kept us comfortable.

The host was super nice, friendly, and very cooperative throughout my stay. The place had all the necessary facilities I needed and was comfortable enough after long days of exploring. So a friend of mine recommended this spot and the family liked the idea of camping Christmas weekend so that's what we did. Booked the cute little camper and pitched a tent outside. It worked out perfect for a family of 4 adults & 2 littles. The camper is so adorable and was very comfortable. They've got a mini fridge, coffee pot w/ coffee provided and even had a TV! Guys were able to watch the football game on a big screen! Oh and did I mention it's air conditioned! Huge fire pit and the outhouse was pretty cool. 2 showers and toilet and just across from the camper which was very nice. Towels and shampoo were provided even. They had canoes to use at your discretion. A swing for small ones. Very much a nice & cozy spot and would definitely camp there again!

I really enjoyed my time at the p2 farm. First off, the beautiful horses, the open land, the sweet puppies, the male and female sheep hip to hip couple, the 400 year old Mother Tree, the open starry sky, the river, to Makayla’s wonderful hospitality was everything I was hoping for when I booked. The bus was a plus since I did not have to do much camp set up and had my own space and refrigerator! It was nicely remodeled and very cozy even for 2 people and 3 mid sized dogs! Our dogs got to roam freely. I also got to view the campsites near the Mother Tree and the river bank which were very nice. There’s a large communal area for cooking and gathering. I highly recommend this place if you really want the farm life while roughing it as true camper! I got the luxury of having 80 degree weather during the day and 60 degree weather at night. Perfect for a fire. And this was in December! They also offer horse trail rides which I plan to do next time!

Mike has created a welcome and relaxed atmosphere for the weary traveler and the amped up ready to roar hiker/biker! The quarters are comfy, clean and the amenities are too notch. The bathrooms and showers are clean, well designed and more than expected from a “hostel”. This isn’t a hostel, it’s a community where you are met with what you need and expectations are exceeded. This is the best hostel/stay I could have asked for in Terlingua/near Big Bend. Insanely clean everything, insane views, incredible hospitality and we literally booked again a couple days after our stay when we needed another night because we loved it so much. The shipping container bunks were SO COMFY and as a woman I felt incredibly safe and Mike was an amazing host to say the least. Taught us about the locals and the places to eat and drink and we met so many incredible people in Terlingua and our bunk mates were awesome. 110% the place for you if you like getting to know the locals and relaxing with an amazing view of the desert mountains. Literally planning the next trip already lol. If you’re down for a laugh, good folks and good views this is totally for you.

This place is so unique and fun and really captures the spirit of Terlingua. Mike is an incredible host and everyone I met here was so kind and cool. The property is safe, comfortable, clean and has all the amenities you could ask for.
