Glamping in Oklahoma

·

From the forested slopes of the Ozark Mountains and Osage Hills to the red rock cliffs and sweeping prairies of the Panhandle—glamping in Oklahoma is all about escaping the crowds and getting back to nature. Luxury glampsites can be found throughout the state, whether you prefer spending a night in a traditional tipi or a refurbished wagon, renting a fully furnished cabin along Route 66, or checking into a romantic treehouse with a hot tub near Lake Eufaula State Park. There are glamping options in Oklahoma’s state parks, too. Robbers Cave State Park has yurts and a covered wagon, Roman Nose State Park has seasonal teepees, and there are yurt rentals at Natural Falls State Park and Beavers Bend State Park. Winter glampers can cozy up around a wood-burning stove in the wall tent at Osage Hills State Park, or in a heated safari tent by Black Mesa State Park.

In Oklahoma, glamping is a type of outdoor stay combining camping's nature setting with the luxury and convenience of comforts like beds, warm showers, or electricity. When glamping in Oklahoma, there's no need to bring your own tent—instead, glampers may stay the night in a cabin, a vintage Airstream, a canvas bell tent, a yurt, or even a treehouse.

Scott and direct access to nearby hiking trails. We currently feature two glamping wall tents- Zion and Selah, which include a wooden deck and framed queen-size outfitted beds, bistro table and chairs inside creating a cozy, romantic retreat you won't forget. Both wall tents have an Icy Breeze AC cooler available upon request which helps to stay cool while inside the tent. Our hillside location cools down nicely in the evenings with a lovely breeze. Swim at Bath Lake durring the afternoon, chill inside our cafe, or visit our neighbors at the Aquarium....all great ways to stay cool durring the heat of the day! We have also recently added a new canvas bell tent- Bethany which features two XL heavy duty twin cots with super comfy mattress toppers, bamboo cooling sheets, and full plush bedding. Our bathhouse includes two private rooms, each equipped with a camping toilet, pump sink, and thoughtful amenities for your comfort. Our outdoor shower will be refreshing after a long hike as well! We have two standing outdoor grills for your cooking needs. Both on the gravel parking lot level, one by the covered patio, the other by the picnic area. Bring your own charcoal, for easy lighting and convenient cooking. Please remember to leave no trace, use trash recepticles and do not leave any food out for the wildlife. Bringing a pet? They are very welcome here, however, we now require a $30 pet fee due to additional cleaning and potential damages. Please add this on to your booking. The Beaver's Bend State Park is within minutes, as it the Broken Bow Lake. We have owned our property for 12 years, and decided to buy in Hochatown because we had been camping in this area for over 28 years. This area brings us joy, love, peace, tranquility, and seclusion. We love the nature, the water, animals, and sunshine. We even love the rain! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Our little piece of Heaven on Earth. We are also close to all of the Hochatown events, eateries, wineries, & breweries. You can go golfing, swimming, get lost in a "secret room" or get a massage, within a 5 minute drive of our location. Grab your pillow, towels, swimsuits, toiletries and come on to Broken Bow Lake (2 miles) or Beaver's Bend State Park (5 miles) and enjoy the great outdoors, in style!

A place carved out of history dating back over 200 years ago. This is where history welcomes you to the Cherokee culture. This land has been handed down for generations and has stayed in the family beginning on my mother’s side of the family, Mary Ann Groundhog, the fourth generation great granddaughter of Sequoyah on the “Dick” side of my family tree. My mother was heavily involved with AIM (American Indian movement). My dad was the last monolingual Cherokee. His name was Mack Vann, he was a man who loved culture and sharing it with visitors and handed down that passion to me. My hip camper site is named after my daddy, I am still a daddy‘s girl. The land originated before Sequoyah. who created the Cherokee syllabary. Sequoyah was my fifth generation great grandfather and I am very proud of my Cherokee heritage, I would love to share my culture, my tradition, and my passion with you. Learn more about this land: Come and experience the authenticity of Tahlequah, Indian country, Oklahoma where almost every resident is Cherokee, Native American, Nature at its most organic state; A place where deer run free, the sunset paints a new picture each evening with glorious colors of warmth and serenity. Away from the hustle and bustle, peaceful, and inviting. Just a short hike or drive to Todd’s access or you can swim, fish, or float down the beautiful Illinois River. At the edge of a small town in Oklahoma, plenty of space to look out over hayfields, lounge in one of our hammocks, sit around the fire, watch chickens, ducks, and geese, and maybe lend a hand to one of our varied farm projects. Permaculture-based polyculture market garden that sells organic veggies and herbs. A few miles from Twin Bridges State Park has RV dump station. The town is walkable and there are plenty of our bikes you can use. The main parking area will have some lights from the neighbors and 2 lane highway, but also have private areas to set up a chair or hammock. Behind the hedgerow (to the North) there's a mowed areas for a tent. There's also a tree platform. A train runs through town about 10 x day and night about 5 blocks away. There's capacity for leaving your trash/recycling here (I have to pay for weekly pick-up but rarely is my bin full), there's also washer/dryer that can be used (within reason)
