This has to be the best place to camp in Oklahoma. Longhorns roaming around, getting to tour with Casey (grandson) and the host, Glenda, was awesome. Such a great family and time on this property. I was there 6 nights, 4 at a camp where I truck camped, 2 at the tiny home. The tiny home was perfect when it got really cold and was able to have a good comfortable shelter. The campsite was great and remote but still able to have the longhorns roaming nearby. I would 100% recommend to anyone in this area and plan to stay next time I’m over that way.

Jackson was a wonderful host, very good communication and helpful to make sure we were in a good site. We were a late booking and he was great at letting us know where to go. The ground was soft, it was clean and relatively quite. We loved it! Beautiful spot.

We camped here 2 nights while traveling through Oklahoma. We enjoyed the quiet campsite surrounded by woods. It is a small campground but every site is full hook up & it had everything we needed, Including picnic table and fire pit . They want you to use firewood from their land , a nice plus not having to buy bundles like at other campgrounds . We would definitely stay here again if traveling nearby

Creek side cabin was perfect for us! Wonderful community, secluded cabin, and friendly people and animals. Hailey was kind enough to spend the morning with us and share some amazing cacao while we meditated. Highly recommend! Also close to several hiking trails in the ancient forest.

Weekend Trip to Dave's Dog Oasis And Campground

Jackson was great, and the grounds were just what I needed. We were in town for the grand departure of the Mega Mid South, and we needed a place to stage and car camp before the race. Jackson was friendly and accommodating, provided us with a fire ring and let us set up wherever we wanted. Didn't get to explore the trails, but the grounds were secluded in the woods, so I am sure they were nice. I'll be back for Mid South in March!

Weekend Trip to K.C. Ranch

We were unable to camp there due to storms so we ended up in a hotel. Glenda invited us out over to Ranch over The Weekend so we could spend some time with her on the ranch. We did go to the ranch and spent about 4 hours. We met her Longhorns, fed them and got to spend some time in the garden. Glenda is a fabulous hostess. We had a great time! She also gave us places we should visit. I’m definitely going back in the Spring!

We stayed at the honeysuckle site and it was perfect! The site was about 75 feet from the parking area and they also have carts that you can borrow to get all your stuff to the site. The trails were perfect for my 4 year old and he made friends with Spooky, the resident dog! We followed Spooky as he excitedly showed us around all the parts of the trail. The campsite was very quiet and we couldn't hear or see any other campers around us. We will definitely be back and we'll bring friends! My son won't stop talking about how much he misses Spooky!

This was such a special place, and we loved the wooded seclusion of site 5. The hammock was a treat for our daughters, and our dogs loved roaming around off leash. The trails and property are so well maintained, and the owners were incredibly hospitable. We'll definitely be back!

We have easy access to two main highways with the nearest Walmart 10 minutes away. Good cell phone coverage for all the main providers at most locations on the property. Whether you want to BYOB (that’s boat, not bottle!) and dock at the marina, fish for bass and catfish, or take to the water to kayak, stand-up paddleboard, or waterski—Keystone Lake has everything a lakeside camper might need. At Keystone State Park, there’s even a sandy beach where you can swim in summer, a floating restaurant where you can dine with a lake view, and scenic walking trails to stretch your legs. Keystone Campground has plenty of lakeside campsites, with everything from primitive tent sites to pull-through full or electric-hookup RV sites and heated and air-conditioned cabins.

Tips for snagging a campsite

You can reserve one of the 154 campsites and 22 cabins at Keystone Lake Campground via the Travel Oklahoma website (travelok.com).
Campsite reservations open eleven months in advance and can be booked up to the day before arrival.
Campsites and cabins can book up fast, especially on summer and holiday weekends. Book a minimum of three months in advance to avoid disappointment.

When to go

When the mercury rises, Keystone Lake is the go-to spot for Tulsans to escape the city heat. July and August can get crowded down by the lake, but it’s often warm enough to swim and enjoy water sports from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Seasonal activities, including boat rentals and the swim beach, are closed outside of this period, but you can still camp year-round.

Know before you go

Keystone State Park sits on the south shore of Keystone Lake, 17 miles west of Tulsa, or about a 20-minute drive along US-412.
A per-vehicle day pass is required to visit the park, and camping fees also apply. One day pass is issued with each campsite.
Facilities within the park include a Park Office and general store, a marina, a seasonal restaurant, picnic tables and day-use areas, restrooms, and a playground.
You can bring your own boat to Keystone Lake, and there are several boat launches and boat trailer parking available. You can also rent fishing boats, kayaks, and ski boats in high season.
There are accessible RV sites, cabins, and restrooms at Keystone State Park. The marina and camp store are also accessible.
